Terrible hotel, do not stay here! The rooms are super noisy, music all night. The toilet is behind a glass door!!! No amenities provided. The breakfast is worthless. All photos on the site are fake. The staff is unfriendly. It is the worst place I have ever stayed.

We stayed 12 days at this hotel and will stay here again on our next visit ! The rooms were beautiful and clean, loved all the storage for personal belongings , long wall of cabinetry behind doors, which kept the room clean and sleek ! But the staff is what really makes this hotel special to us. Outstanding service !! We met as guest and staff, but left as friends, we will miss Antonio and Pao especially. You guys are the best💕. Wonderful stay with a roof top infinity pool and bar!

This building now belong to another hotel chain but IKONIK didn't tell us anything (us or to expedia) so when we arrived our payed reservation didn't exist either... Luckly for us expedia moved us to another hotel but we had to spend a few hours on the phone trying to contact them. Terrible!

I stayed at this hotel in February of 2020 and checked out early March (10 days). Overall the hotel was good BUT I was overcharged over 500.00USD on check-in. The hotel claimed local taxes. I check my reservation details once I got settled and realized my reservation had all the local taxes included. The check-in staff admitted their error but had charged my credit card the full amount of the stay event though there was only 24 hour check out notice. The manager assured me I would get a refund yet it has been 6 weeks since I check out. They wanted my personal bank account information to deposit money which sounds suspicious. I paid by Visa, yet they claimed they could not refund my Visa (suspicious). I gave them my e-transfer e-mail and direct deposit account. Nothing...The manager has gone quite BEWARE AND DOUBLE CHECK YOUR INVOICE CONCERNING LOCAL TAXES CLAIM BEFORE CHECKING IN, YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF THE HOTEL IS IN ERROR

Wasn't sure what to expect but the pictures looked cool. When I arrived, It looked just like the pictures! The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. A small disappointment was the "partial ocean view". It was mostly blocked by the funky facade on the front of the building. The rooftop pool/deck is nice but small and has an amazing view. It was awesome to have breakfast right on the beach. The location is perfect if you want to wander on 5th avenue. What really stood out for me was the staff. I wish I could remember everyones name but everybody I came in contact with was friendly, cheerful and helpful. A special shout out to CARMEN and ELI. Their cheerful smiles made each day special and made it hard for me to leave. I will go back again one day!

8 of us we stayed in the hotel between the 13th of february 'till the 19th. We reserved four rooms. They charged me (pre authoriziation) with 550 Usd (ok it was written, the price of the firsth night for four rooms). I had to pay immediately the price of our whole stay (the card reader didnt work...)! After we checked out i came home, but still no refund of the pre charged money !!! I called them, wrote couple of e-mails, but still nothing!!! The hotel itself is not bad, but during the breakfast the waiters are always forgot something, brought a wrong one etc. The beachfront is dirty with small private beach, so we spent most of our time in the V. floor at the deck bar (expensive !!!)

Absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. Would highly avoid at all costs. In short - huge ripoff in pricing (expect to pay at least $50-$100 extra on top of your rate), dirty rooms with moist/sticky floors, and rude staff. We were super excited to get to the Ikonik. We checked HotelTonight and Booking.com. Although we found pretty good rates ($158 on HotelTonight), we decided to check their website directly. The website claims to offer “Best price guaranteed” and even will “refund the difference plus a 10% discount” if you find a lower price. Naturally, we decided to book directly as they boasted the lowest price: $269. Seemed like a great deal. However, when we arrived, we were shocked. For a 2 night stay, suddenly we received a bill of $362, nearly a $100 additional charge for every possible type of tax you could possibly imagine. Irritated already after spending 45 min at the reception as no one spoke decent English, we went to the room. Another surprise - the floors were sticky, moist and there were random wet patches of water everywhere. The room was dirty, and mostly run down - quite the difference from what you see online. Overall, just a terrible experience and really a place to avoid. Check out the neighbors next door, wish we would’ve booked there (Thompson hotel or something).

Our trip was for Riviera Maya and I had 1 night before checking in at the resort. I found this place online. It worked out really well. The room is small. Very modern. I looked and looked and could not find how to turn on the fan. They have a TV in the room but no cable tv. You can only watch netflix or other apps. The room overall was clean, but closer look you could see plenty of dust in areas not well attended to. The hotel is located on the beach. They are 2 blocks off of the main strip in PDC. Very well situated. They have a roof top pool and have a "beach party" every night. I went up to check it out. There were about 10 people. Not very exciting and it was a Saturday. The view was very nice of the beach and ocean. Breakfast was included. They have a first floor restaurant. The menu is a bit funky on the lay out and ordering, as you are not sure exactly what is included or not included. Juice and coffee were included. They also proved a bread basket with pastries and a yogurt appetizer. I saw other people ordered more lunch type items, like enchiladas. It was a very nice breakfast. They have two rows of chairs on the beach right in front of the hotel. The beach area is very public. Lots of people just taking whatever space they secure. The lotions and soap in the room were very nice. The shower was excellent. Overhead raindrop and hand held. The pressure was great and it got hot quickly. My personal opinion is that this is a great place for a few nights. Not sure I could spend a whole week here. My only real issue was that upon check in, they wanted more money. I had used an on line service to book the room, other than TA. I paid the price and they told me I would have to pay money to the hotel upon arrival. However, the amount they quoted was different than the amount the hotel wanted. The staff was very nice. I mentioned that there was an odor in the hallway and they sprayed it right away which seemed to help. They provided me with a late check out for no extra charge. And they called a cab for me upon check out. I would stay there again for 1 or 2 nights only.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple for a getaway. The rooms are amazing. The hotel is a ship theme and the rooms have nautical finishings, bright colors, tons of storage and an awesome comfortable bed and a huge balcony. The hotel is right on the ocean. We loved the rooftop pool and bar. It’s one block walk to all the shopping and restaurants. Spotlessly clean! The breakfast (included) was delicious. Highly recommend!
