The most coloured hotel in Mexico! Our room was huge with two double beds and the view on the pool. We were there to have fun and we got what we needed! Clubs were round the corner y la fiesta es muy bonita! Staff was friendly and very helpful when we had to leave our luggages after the check out!
Me and my family felt like at home it was clean it was safe Victor from Hacienda ! A big thank you ! You was amazing ,he helped us receive a safe big enough transportation for me my husband and my four kids from Cancun to playa deCarmen he was amazing he was texting me the whole time asking if we had arrived and was very helpful helpful!
The good part was the price was right, the location decent, staff very helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. The bad was the nightclub next door that raged with thundering bass until 0400. The pool was occupied all day with a scuba class. The stairs to our room were super rickety; each step was different, loose, crooked or as narrow as a few inches (not exaggerating). One sink had no water, shower head dribbled water lifelessly and there were only a few electrical outlets about the room for powering devices. But, overall, it represented a good value, for the money, given the cost of other properties in the immediate area.
We enjoyed this quaint hotel just off 5th Avenue. Great location so we walked to great restaurants nearby. I've written some reviews of nice, mid-range and cheap eats that we found in the area. Did not use the pool but close to the beach. The hotel had a few parking spots in the front that we could have used with a bit of planning and luck. There was street parking for our rental car within a few blocks of the hotel. Served our purpose of affordable housing in a good location. Staff was friendly and accomodating to our early arrival.
We had asked for a quiet room because we had to get up at 4 a.m. to catch an early flight. We were given a room on north corner of the hotel on the 2nd floor overlooking Avenida 10 - that is a very busy street. Our room had a door in the south wall which would have opened into the room next door to us. Of course, it was locked because we had only booked the one room. When we accepted the room, we didn't notice that this door in the south wall was as flimsy as cardboard, and cracked so you could even see light through it. Pretty soon, some guests came and occupied that room and when they talked - even in normal voices - it sounded like they were right beside us in our room. It was so bad that we could even hear when they were peeing in the toilet! We asked to be moved to a quiet room. Maria Bonita refused to move us. We tried for a while longer, but soon realized it was going to be impossible to get any sleep in that room and we would have to leave. Maria Bonita refused our request for any refund. It was quite late and I have never been so disappointed and upset about a hotel. We were very lucky to find a good quiet room at El Campanerio Hotel and Suites on Calle 12 just close by. We would not recommend Maria Bonita to anyone. They did not treat us very well, gave us no consideration, and the room was terrible.…
From the moment I checked in I felt very welcomed by the staff. The employees at this hotel are amazing, Braulio , Alberto , and Bernedice (I think that is her name) have great customer service skills. The room I stayed in was clean and very spacious and without requesting it the second night of my stay someone put in a minifridge in my room. Before arriving at this hotel I had 3 guided tours booked to various archaeological locations. Unfortunately one of them got cancelled on me without the tour operator calling me about the cancellation. Luckily for me Braulio the front desk person helped me out and with his help I booked a guided tour to Coba on my last night in Playa Del Carmen. There is a nearby Oxxo and pharmacy that are open 24hours. Also within walking distance is the Frida Kahlo Museum , Quinta Avenida shopping , and of course the beach. There is only one negative thing about this hotel. If your goal is to get a lot of rest and sleep this hotel is not for you. That is because there is a nearby bar that plays loud music from 10pm to 5am. I was only there for a 5 night stay so I just put up with the noise.…
Me and my wife spent a few days in playa del carmen, we love the town. Especially during the Christmas season. The location was great. Didnt have a problem with noise. Cocoa bongos can have a little rowdy crowd I. the late evening. Lots of drunk kids. But didnt bother us. Room was clean and nice. Only draw back was there was no mini fridge to keep cold drinks. We put ice in the mini bar sink. Pool was nice but doesnt get much sun.
Hotel is great. Large rooms, large bathroom, beautiful balcony with view on the pool, so much colors inside. Paradise for eyes. It is in center, there are many restaurants and bar nearby. Great hotel and l recommand this hotel to everyone.
This is a moderate hotel on 10th Avenue. This was my first experience staying here. The hotel and room were clean, provided a hot shower, and they were friendly. They have a nice pool. My only complaint was the parking. They stated that they have parking- but they only have a few spaces. I would stay there again, but, only if I secured a parking space first. If you don’t have a car, this place is a reasonable hotel in an easy access place to the tourist district in Playa. It is also an easy walk to the beach.
