My family has owned a time share at the Sunset Fisherman for over ten years. The Fisherman offers a quiet, relaxing atmosphere for its guests. The beach is beautiful and the hotel is a 20 minute walk from downtown Playa Del Carmen. The food is decent (there is always room for quality improvement). The drinks served at the bar are...

This resort was in a gated community away from the crowds, but within a short walking distance if needed. The staff was amazing and friendly. We were very pleased with all this had to offer. We would love to return...

The resort is perfectly located in a gated community a short distance from the maddening crowds of the downtown. The staff is what makes this place so special. Roberto, activities director and Abrasion, lifeguard were especially friendly and very engaging. They seem to truely enjoy their jobs! The food was great and the common areas as well as the suites...

All the staff was courteous and friendly and the service was excellent. Our waiters, Victor, Regoberto and all the others were excellent. The bartender Cesar was great. The hostess Marlene was very charming and helpful. Roberto, the head of activities, gave Spansih lessons and was very good. Marcial the doorman is a nice fellow.

I have a time share at Fishermen and have been vacationing here for several years. Once again, I found the atmosphere just about perfect for me: no frills, no fancy stuff or fancy people. This is a family oriented resort that is also compatible with having attained a more mature age (dare I say being older). The staff are very...

Dear Guest: Thank you for your comments. We would like to share with you actions that are being taken to improve our service and standards. Both Hobbie hats have been fixed and are ready to go sailing, sorry they were not available by the time you were here, spare parts come from abroad so sometimes it takes more time than...

I just got back to Houston and had to write this review. I don't want to be one of those that will only tell of my bad experiences, so here goes. Or trip dates were April 22-29, 2017. Got a 1 bedroom overlooking the water from the second floor. Perfect room location, greatest view of the water and beach I've...

AVOID this place like the plague. If you are looking for All-inclusive fun experience this is not the place. If you are 40 years or younger you have no business going here. The whole time we were there we felt like we were at a retirement community. Our group was in our 30's and we did have fun with the...

So, if on your vacation you prefer to be wowed, wined, dined and entertained, this place is not for you. There are many mega hotels up and down the coast that offer the ‘wow factor’, multiple restaurants, several pools, evening entertainment—some you need golf carts to get around and the all-inclusive rate is $150+. If you prefer ‘the little hotel...

We arrived early at Sunset and our room was not ready. They were very nice and told us to go have lunch and then come back. We did and our room was ready. We went to the room (on the third floor facing the Gulf) and when we opened the door I stopped and said to my husband "There has...
