Stay away from this awful hotel! Pros: Great location Cons: rooms weren't cleaned, Bad Wi-fi, Noise, 10 minutes for hot water, Can't hold luggage at checkout for more than 2 hours, awful and indifferent treatment.
The courtyard of the hotel does not look very impressive, but once I got up the stairs to the spa area, I felt transported to another world. I had reserved the "pamper package" for $95 USD. It was two hours of absolute heaven. Gaby was very professional and caring. She listened to what I was hoping for in my massage, extra care for my calves and upper back. The full body scrub was amazing, and all of the ingredients were local and organic. My skin felt better than it has ever felt in my life. The massage was exactly what I hoped for. Gaby really listened. The facial was also amazing, with several treatments and steps that all felt and smelled great. This place has a very chill vibe that keeps you relaxed and happy. It was a little difficult to leave and head back out into the chaos of the city. I will definitely return on my next trip to Playa del Carmen and have already recommended Jacqueline and Gaby at BRIC to all of my friends who might be in the area. The cleanliness, attention to detail, and professional attentiveness were all perfect! And, the price could not be beat! What a great deal and a great experience!…
My partner and I had the rekindle ritual for couples. It was a really hot day and this was a nice retreat. The body scrub was really nice and the massage was amazing. The staff was very friendly and treated us to some vegan cheesecake for our anniversary when we were done with our massages. I would definitely recommend this place for a massage while in Playacar.
This is a super small hotel in a GREAT location. We booked one night at th least minute at a great price. Upon check in, I am not sure of his name- but I believe he is the manager, he is so hospitable. He is super friendly- showed us where the water cooler is so you can refill with filtered water as often as needed. It is right off of 5th Ave, but we heard no noise our entire night. We had a lovely time strolling 5th our night there & it was a very short walk back to the hotel. The room was small, but cozy, super clean, well stocked, & the a/c worked great. We did dip our toes in the pool. It is a very lovely quiet area. They even provide towels which is a plus. The platform we booked in indicated breakfast was included, but they did not have anything set up. I believe we may have been the only guests at the hotel. For what we paid- it did not matter to us. We would certainly stay here again as we felt so welcomed & we loved the small lodging feel to it.…
This review is for unit 202A. At first look, nice - but when got settled in, realized it was disgusting! See pics. Stained sheets w/ hairs in 2 of the beds, stuff piled in corners and in closets, dirty oven, broken cooktop, hole in sofa. Bed sheet was actually a bed SKIRT. I was shocked based on the reviews. Front door doesn’t even sit right in the frame. Salvador our contact at Bric was very slow to respond to messages and never answered the phone. Good location but very noisy (very near Quinta Ave) so just be aware. I own a travel agency and this was a personal trip. I am SO GLAD this was not clients’ trip - would’ve been a completely unacceptable disaster. I would NOT recommend this unit to someone with high expectations nor stay again.
This is a review of the spa. I live in Playa and had been anxiously awaiting their reopening (like everything else, they were closed because of Covid). I went today for a 90 minute deep tissue massage, and oh, it was so fabulous! After an hour and a half of bliss, I dressed and found the owner in the waiting room with a fresh glass of watermelon juice, and a vegan truffle. We chatted a bit while her adorable little dogs played around my ankles. I really needed those few moments to gather my wits about me, because I was so seriously relaxed and blissed out, I don’t think I would have been able to walk to my car! If you aren’t staying at the hotel, or if you live in town, you need to make a trip here and get some self-care. If you are staying at the hotel…it’s just a trip up the stairs! You have to go. It’s really, really amazing. It’s quiet and comfortable and you will have the utmost attention paid to you. You will walk out feeling really special.…
We started our vacation with the Couples Ritual Massage and it was absolutely perfect. My wife loved her therapist and I thought Nadia was very good with her technique. It started with a foot massage followed by a body scrub and shower. It really made us feel so relaxed. They topped it off with a 90 minute massage that made us melt away. Thank you Jacqui for a wonderful experience! You all do such a wonderful job of pampering!
We did the couple's package. We couldn't have been more happy with the experience. It started with a cold towel and water. The met the ladies that would be taking care of us. They started with a foot wash and scrub. Next they step out of the room so you may disrobe. You get on the table covered with a towel, and they come in and uncover parts as needed to do the body exfoliation. After that, you go one at a time to the shower and return for your 90 minute massage. They then step out while you get dressed and you exit the massage room to chocolate, wine, and lime/cucumber/ginger water.
The pampering package is WONDERFUL! 120 min of pure relaxation. It was so great I went back the following week for a second visit. The atmosphere is friendly and very professional. The Mexican feel is comforting and enjoyable. Thank you for being a highlight of my vacation.
This is my wife’s review: I had the best massage in my life at the Bric Spa! It was 90 minutes of pure bliss! I highly recommend this place for everyone! Excellent value! Thank you Marbella for your amazing and very professional service. I am already planning to return. Gabriela
