Hotel Lunata a real oasis of elegance, hospitality and service - on a truly world class level, particularly given its small size. Hotel Lunata is a charming hacienda-style hotel located on Fifth Avenue's ,the heart and soul of Playa Del Carmen, just steps away from the Mexican Caribbean's pristine white sand beaches. Centrally located, Hotel Lunata is easy walking distance from everything Playa del Carmen has to offer, including beaches, international restaurants, upscale boutiques, unique artisan shops, Mayan ruins, and bars with live music that ranges from mariachis to reggae. The hotel is a special place reserved for guests that appreciate fine living. Architect Angel Islas has successfully blended traditional Mexican architecture with modern day comforts to create a hotel perfect for the discriminating traveler. The creative use of natural light, river stones, hand painted talavera tiles, and hardwood beams captures the traditional charm of Mexico.

We're just coming back from our 2nd stay at Hotel Lunata and although this is the only place we've ever stayed in PDC - when we go back we go back to Hotel Lunata again. Only reasons not to stay here is you really want to be beachfront or you're unable to take stairs because

hola! the Hotel doesn't have an elevator, the rooms are upstairs, there are not rooms on the ground floor. The rooms facing 5th. Ave. have a little balcony and the rooms facing the garden have a large terrace with a hammack and lounger chairs. There are also beach chairs and reclining chairs at the courtyard and all the guest are free to use them. Hope you find helpful this information, have a wonderful day!

"Delux room facing 5th Avenue if you want to "people watch" or a courtyard garden view room if you want more peace and quiet."
"If you book over a weekend and are a sensitive sleeper you might want to bring earplugs."
"A room over looking the garden is so peaceful and beautiful!!!"
"unless you want to watch the street life at night, the rooms at the back were nice. I chose a king bed."
"Courtyard rooms are nice. If you want to watch the action get a room on 5 ave side-but it will be noisier."
