I thought I embraced what I would be expecting Based on other reviews. The good: The hotel itself is beautiful, Very local feel to it. The greenery inside in the main lobby is luscious and well taken care of and beautiful. My room at 1st glance was pretty decent ( their premium room), it had king size 4 poster bed, 2 ceiling fans in the room lots of lightning though a couple of the lights didn't work. Ample charging spots for all your devices. Smaller TV that offered Netflix and Amazon prime. Decent sized closet and an in room safe they give you the lock and key upon checkin. The staff were very friendly. Water was a small waterfall shower head, takes a min but hot water is good. Truly like a rainfall water pressure. Toilet requests not to flush TP, so get some baby wipes and dispose in the small garbage can. The not so good: If your a light sleeper and early to bed type of person it's definitely not for you. Maybe with ear plugs though I didn't try. There are live bands below that play nightly and they are very loud and run at least until 11-11:30 PM. You literally will hear 3 different types of music at the same time. The bed very very firm almost like sleeping on the floor. So if you like that type of firmness on a bed you're good, lots of pillows including body pillows. I have to go buy one of those egg carton type topper things to put on top and it didn't help. They provide no bottled water in room though, they did have a water cooler downstairs in the lobby that i saw later. They also don't provide any kind of coffee in the lobby in the mornings , pretty much 0 amenities. They do give you a voucher for a continental breakfast across from them I didn't try that either. This hotel is literally smack in-between everything and very hard to spot. Your driver will have to park down around the corner and you will have to walk a little with your suitcases. I stayed 3 nights and my back can't take it anymore, Also a light sleeper tho a night owl. This truly is you get what you pay for type of place. Just not my type of place. The pix online are very accurate.…
The perfect combination between great location, great price, good service and decor. It’s located in the middle of the 5th Ave. You can sometimes hear the bands playing or people shouting, but if you don’t complain about it, the rest is perfect. Nice vegetation at the lobby, the breakfast includes coffee, fruits, toast, granola yogurt and muffin at a beautiful Italian restaurant close to the hotel, and it’s included a gym pass to go everyday around the corner, great gym too. I recommend this accommodation everyday and I will definitely come back.
The hotel was clean and very well decorated! it had a great vibe and great location to the action. However, it was very loud at night. Great place to party, not so great for sleep and quiet. Also We loved the garden inside the hotel!
Im a traveler and i have been in 3 different hotels in playa del carmen , this hotel is not giving you anything but trouble , bad vibes and absolutely not good service . The room are old and mold . Till 3 am you cant sleep because of the noises from the strip. You have absolutely no service to your phone or wifi unless you sit downstairs far from your room . They employees are just looking for how to take your money and what are you doing wrong , you feel always watched and not comfortable , they are not nice and talk between them self . If you come till mexico you diserve to feel happy , fun and welcomed in the place you paid for . There are many many places in playa del carmen so even if it will be 20$ more at least you going to have the vacation that you want and not to struggle with simple thing like wifi, Cell phone reception , and bad attitude from the employees…
I booked 2 Weeks for 1000 Dollar. Finally I had to pay 160 Dollar more. "It's our Change" was the answer... Very bad change. The restaurant "La vagabunda" in front of the hotel for the breakfast very unprofessional! They forgot every day something in my breakfast or some order came very late. WiFi worked not very well! Cleaning Personal was kind.
This hotel was not the one from our vacation package. It did not book this hotel, but the travel agent transferred me due to mold smell in the only room left in the other one. This is an important item to note when you come. after a few days you can become sick but still forgiving the smell damage. The stay was nice, room clean and smelling nicely, people are great, I've been offered options to chose from.
Centrally located and cozy hotel. Fernando from the reception was the most helpful and best employee of the hotel. He did everything possible to ensure a great stay. However, his colleagues are not as helpful and did not provide a good service.
Hotel is outdated and in need of repairs. Rooms are very Humid and musty. The property is centrally located and many local attractions are within walking distance. Lots of restaurantes, bars and nightlife. Staff is friendly.
We stay in a “suit” room but please be aware pictures shown in the website are not exactly what you will get. They have extremely uncomfortable beds, the mattresses feel like concrete solid. Also, heaps of mosquitos due to the trees inside the hotel. Hotel rooms and shower definitely need a renovation as the bedrooms are run down. The staff are not always at the reception, so anyone can enter the hotel late at night. If hotel was renovated and have a friendly customer service will definitely be a great stay as the location is perfect.
The location is really good is just in the main street where are the restaurants and bars, the hotel is good BUT the water didn't flow in the showers in many rooms in my room also drain in the shower got stuck and the hotel crew just said, "Yes, is normal we can not do anything to fix it"
