This is NOT an all inclusive resort. Extra charges are incurred for certain wine selections which we only found out about after our third day at the resort. The food is hit or miss. Mexican beef tends to be fatty and tough. Avoid the "rib eye steak", which I ended up tossing to the crocodile in the lagoon just below...

This was our first stay at the Blue Diamond resort. We were very impressed with the overall cleanliness and laid back comfort of this resort. This is a gated resort and we felt very safe. The ability to walk the grounds of the resort, especially in the evening, was a real treat. A lot of time and attention is spent...

First off, I'd like to preface this review by saying that if nothing goes wrong during your stay and you don't need to contact management, this could very well be a five star experience. I normally take negative reviews of management with a grain of salt, because how much can they really affect your stay? Well it turns out the...

We just returned yesterday and we're back in snowy PA. So yes the plan was to escape the PA winter for a while....mission accomplished. First we found this little known....or talked about resort 2 years ago while on a beach walk from Secrets Capri. Costco had it on their site with a pretty fair deal....at least compared to what I...

My trip to Blue Diamond was the result of my friends who are members of Blue Bay's Circle 1 club. We were very fortunate to have an incredible beachfront Casita. It was stunning, spacious and pristine. The service was fantastic and especially good with a good tip. (Tipping was new to me at a resort as my only other experience...

My husband and I visited Blue Diamond Riviera Maya at the recommendation of a friend. His review? A great facility, but the food is just okay. He really could not have been more accurate! This hotel was formerly owned by Mandarin Oriental and when you arrive at the grand hotel lobby, you can see the Mandarin influence. The property is...

We booked this hotel last fall and went in feb 2015. At the time we had booked we didn't realize it was an all inclusive resort - we tend to avoid all inclusive resorts because usually the service, quality of food is mediocre, and I don't drink nor do we eat much. Not to mention the crowd can be a...

We were impressed with all the restaurants and could not have asked for more. The staff was fantastic, they were friendly and went above and beyond all expectations. Cesar would show up at...

Overall stay: Fantastic. Now for some details. Ambiance: This is a quiet place. No hawkers, the ever-present time share folks were not too pushy. Food: Very good, no buffets, eating took a long pleasant time. Place: Unique in that the suites are either located on a river, cenote or the ocean. We had our own private little yard in our...

My husband and I went with another couple for 5 nights at the end of February 2015. This was my fourth all-inclusive in Mexico but my first time to this resort. I loved the quietness and the size of the resort. It wasn't overwhelming as some bigger resorts are and not crawling with people so you can actually relax. There...
