My husband and I stayed at Los Itzaes in February 2015 and very much liked this bright & inviting boutique hotel. Rooms are spacious & kept very clean. Lobby area is pretty with the hanging plants. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. A small continental breakfast is provided, but really, you're in Playa del Carmen - go out...

Like you said, we offer a small continental breakfast, but of course you can go and experience real Mexican food. We also offer a buffet on a nearby restaurant for $100 pesos. This hotel has surpassed our expectations. This is the kind of boutique hotel that makes you feel like you are living a country, a region, a city, a neighbourhood to its fullest (vs a big hotel with no character). Now, keep in mind it's a small boutique hotel and even if things are not perfect all the time, it's an...

My husband, daughter and I spent 4 nights at this cute family run hotel in March 2015. Small rooftop pool, but size was not an issue since we had the pool to ourselves pretty much all four days (which our 6 year old loved). Close to numerous restaurants. One minute walk to La Quinta (popular tourist strip) and two minute...

Well maintained and quiet hotel by Playa standards. Excellent housekeeping and friendly front desk staff. A shallow, but nice rooftop pool where you can escape beach crowds. Close to a couple of decent restaurants. If really hungry try the all you can eat Brazilian BQ just down 10th. The only downside, no ice buckets nor an ice machine.

Great place to stay cheap and has all the essentials. Pool was nice to swim in. Beds were comfortable and was a close walk to pretty much everything including the beach. The staff were friendly and most of them spoke good English which was sometimes handy.

My brother stayed in Los Itzaes for several days when scuba diving in Playa del Carmen. The hotel is located a couple of streets away from the center of the tourist district making it both quiet and convenient. Public parking is available behind the hotel for $12/day. We found the staff to be very accommodating, the rooms very pleasant and...

Great place to stay and location. Front desk had plenty information on what to do and where to eat. Friendly staff and excellent rates. Loved the energy saver feature the hotel has in every room. From the swimming pool you are able to see the town and the ocean.

Hotel is centrally located on Avenidas 10 which is a short 3-4 minute walk to the beach ( blocks are very short) and just around the corner from the main drag Avenidas 5. This is my third time staying in playa but our first at Los itzaes...the rooms, entryway and roof deck pool are absolutely beautiful and for those reasons we will likely stay here again.
