If you're expecting to have anything close to a 5 star luxury experience you will be sorely disappointed. With the reviews I thought I showed up to the wrong place. While the rooms are nice and certainly spacious the public space is crying for an update. The pool is nothing

I haven't been back to Viceroy Riviera Maya in 10 years. The hotel is still as special and beautiful as I remember. The villas are private, the service was intuitive, and the food was exceptional (the culinary team were also gracious in accommodating my vegan and gluten free

Heads up - we stayed here and the Esencia as wanted to see the difference. Esencia wins but is a lot more expensive but doesn’t win in all criteria ! Villa 29 - had a great plunge pool, table and sun beds. Very secluded. The plunge pool was a slight hassle. The running water

So we went last June and Did the myan indulgence package / so everything is included except Loster tails $(20) up charge and then some super high end tequilas or scotches. We would sit by the pool all day and sign off on a $300 bill / basically the food / and liquor gets charged to your room / then zero’d out / now tips are not included and These Guys work their butts off / so plan on taking cash for tips or just put the tips on the bill and pay for it when you check out. This place is the single Handed best gem in Mexico / currently planning our return trip. Oh Dinner at Le Mera is amazing and it’s included as well!! Drinks in your room / included

The Villas around and near the pool area are not private. Instead choose one in the “jungle”. They are all quite secluded. RLW
