The best thing about this hotel and our stay was the bartender Rene at the pool who made the best mojitos ever!!! Ask for Rene when your at the pool and make sure you order his famous mojitos! He has great customer service and knows what he’s doing it so give him a good tip because he is well worth it! Breakfast buffet was good and staff was very friendly Mole the restaurant was also good but the other restaurants were not that great and the service was not as friendly. Reservations are also hard to make and need to be made a few days in advance.
We just returned home from an amazing trip to the Paradisus Playa del Carmen. Our travel agent highly recommended Paradisus and booked a 2-bedroom Master suite for our family of 5. It was really two adjoining rooms and had the perfect amount of room for our family. Our room had the King bed and a larger bathroom and the kid room had two queen beds and a very comfortable couch/daybed in the living room. Both rooms had a balcony with a spa which was a huge bonus. We had wonderful meals each day. We particularly enjoyed the restaurants with the outdoor dining like The Market and The Grill. The atmosphere was just so beautiful. We could only get reservations for the fancier restaurants (Mole, Banta, and Vento) for 9:30pm which was a bit late for our family. If we return, we will make sure to book earlier reservations in advance. We definitely enjoyed the buffet and the cafe at the pool and ate lunch there several times. The customer service was outstanding. In particular, Miguel, Rafael, and Christian were all very attentive and made sure that we were happy. We rented a Bali Bed on our final day and it was the epitome of poolside bliss. Towels were continually replaced and drinks were neverending. We would definitely return and have only wonderful memories of our stay at the Paradisus. We will especially miss the adorable coatis and the iguanas! We never made it to the beach because the pool was so ideal!…
superb place we had a great stay there with our 2 children the service the quality of the food and drinks are very good the staff very concerned for us special thanks to Angeles from the staff varied food and the à la carte restaurants are worth a visit
We stayed here for one week, our concierge Norma was the absolute best. Being greeted with a cool towel as soon as we got to the resort was nice! We were in a swim up reserve and I highly recommend that. It was very relaxing and absolutely beautiful. We are not into the party crowd so it was nice to relax with some music but not to loud. Our pool concierge Alfredo was the absolute best!!! He knew what my husband and I were drinking every day and brought us refills at the perfect time! Daniel at the towel hut was amazing he made sure when we wanted a bed by the pool that we had plenty of towels and he brought us our first drinks as soon as they start serving. Once again I can not say enough amazing things about Norma she went above and beyond for us. It was nice to come back to our room on our anniversary night to a bubble bath and lights turned down. She also made sure we had breakfast delivered to our room before we left for our excursion and before we left for the airport. The spa was really nice! We enjoyed doing the hydro sessions every chance we could! A cold jacuzzi was new to me but felt amazing! This resort was exactly what we expected. We loved the hibachi and la palapa was amazing. We plan on returning soon and will request Norma for our next visit!…
Just returned from an amazing holiday. Check in was fast and efficient and we received a free upgrade. The one bedroom master suite was amazing! Lots of room for our family of four. We paid more for The Reserve and I think it was worth it. We used the pool everyday and received help with our dinner reservations. Our concierge was helpful and kind and tried to do something special for the kids each day. Really enjoyed the drinks by the pool and snacks in the lounge as well. The food at the buffet was great as well. Made with care. I tipped most times but can’t say it made a difference in regards to the service. The staff were kind and eager to help regardless. My nine year old loved the waterpark. We were in Mexico for six weeks and this was our favourite resort by far. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. One thing I do wish they had available at all times of the day is milk. I travelled with a little one and found it a bit tricky to find a place to refill her bottle. There was a lady working at the bar outside of the buffet restaurant who outright refused to give my toddler milk one night which was upsetting. She wasn’t kind about it either. I quickly found someone else willing to help though. Guess she was having a bad day. Also, don’t pay for the hotel laundry. It’s outrageously expensive. There’s a place a ten minute walk outside of the resort (Lavendrea Monterossa) that will do a large laundry bag for less than 50 pesos. The ladies working there are hardworking and kind. We tipped and it was appreciated. Bring everything you need with you because the resort stores are expensive. We did some walking outside of the resort and found what we needed for a fraction of the price. Top notch stay. My second time here and won’t be my last. Thank you Paradisus. We had an amazing time.…
This was our 2nd time bringing our family to Paradisus Playa Del Carmen and we had a great time as always, especially our kids (2 & 5 years old) We stayed in a junior suite king bed with a pull-out couch which was very spacious for all of us. They moved us to the Reserve building because we needed the pull-out, and the normal junior suites didn’t have them. The Reserve building was awesome though – close to the main area with all the food, next to the “pirate ship” that our son was obsessed with, and a short walk to the massive water park that the kids loved. Room service was very important for us since the kids always need to munch right after a nap. Typical delivery time was around 45 min-1 hour so we made sure to plan ahead. Wifi and cell service is also super important for us since my husband had to work from the room sometimes. Connection was excellent – this was a big reason why we moved to this resort the last time we were in Mexico. Our previous resort in Riviera Maya didn’t have good cell service. KIDS CLUB – Yadira, Yessenia and Karla were amazing and even put up with my 2 year old son who could be a handful! My 5 year old daughter was always asking to go, and they would do her nails, braid her hair and make tons of crafts. My kids also made some friends there from our flight so it was a great place to meet up and play. Not to mention… some free time with my husband was a huge bonus! Don’t really have any complaints other than I wish the beach was better. That’s not the resort’s fault though. I was never a huge fan of the beaches here. Highly recommend this resort, especially if for families with young children!…
This is a go to place it is amazing and if anything Norma Ramos is the best person to do business with she is an amazing person. The food and drinks were amazing. We stayed in the reserve which is the adults side and it is well worth it
Abril Cordero was pleasant, friendly and helpful Always did her best to accommodate my family with a baby. Always answer our questions and referred us to the right person if she wasn’t sure. Thank you for service
Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation especially if you are celebrating something. The service was over the top and very personalized to us. The entire complex employee group did everything they could to please us.
We visited Paradisus Playa Del Carmen for the week to celebrate multiple 40th birthdays with friends, total of 3 families 15 people. We stayed at the The Reserve 1 Bedroom Swim up suites and the rooms were AMAZING. Our Concierge Jonathan was incredible, so helpful, responsive, knowledgeable, just THE BEST. He would set up our rooms every day for the kids with surprises, fun scavenger hunts, balloons, treats, gifts, the kids all loved it. Also a bottle of champagne and cake for our birthdays. The hotel was beautiful, clean, elegant, spacious. The Swim up suite feature was so amazing b/c we would just swim to our friends rooms every day. The only room complaint was the lighting was dark and there were issues with the power and outlets. Also the staff continued to wake us up knocking and calling asking about cleaning the room every morning when we kept saying that we didn't want the room cleaned or we would call if needed. But it was fine. Definitely recommend the whole experience but the only thing that was lack luster was the food. Mole was not great the 1st time but we went back and it was much better food & service. Aguamarina was horrible both food & service, the food was inedible. Bani Family and Capella were good, but nothing was great. Maybe that's what you get at an all-inclusive. The room service breakfast every morning was decent thankfully, the Croque Madame was delicious. Also did not like that all of the pool and beach bars and restaurants closed either at 4pm or 6pm every day, way too early for hotel guests with so many hours left of sun. Definitely stay at The Reserve though b/c you are really given outstanding service. All in all I would love to stay there again one day, it's pricey but for the most part I think pretty worth it.…
