Was absolutely thrilled with how great our 10 year wedding anniversary trio turned out! A huge part due to our absolutely AWESOME concierge Nestor! He was on top of all of our dinner reservations, and got us an early room service that we could enjoy before our early excursion departure. On one of our dinner nights, at Mole, he informed them of our anniversary and we not only got a bottle of champagne brought to us, but cake for dessert with a FIREWORK on it! Mole had the BEST wait staff, and the supervisor on that night was very attentive and personal with us. It was awesome! It didn't end there! We went home that night to a drawn bath, with rose pedals and rose pedals leading to the tub, another bottle, bathrobes and a DELICIOUS cake! That was done (minus the cake) another night but in the hot tub on the balcony! Forgot to mention the cards he left for us! Very thoughtful. All in all Nestor and the kind staff, EVERYWHERE we went on resort made such a great experience that we can't wait to get back to!

We just returned home from an amazing trip to the Paradisus Playa del Carmen. Our travel agent highly recommended Paradisus and booked a 2-bedroom Master suite for our family of 5. It was really two adjoining rooms and had the perfect amount of room for our family. Our room had the King bed and a larger bathroom and the kid room had two queen beds and a very comfortable couch/daybed in the living room. Both rooms had a balcony with a spa which was a huge bonus. We had wonderful meals each day. We particularly enjoyed the restaurants with the outdoor dining like The Market and The Grill. The atmosphere was just so beautiful. We could only get reservations for the fancier restaurants (Mole, Banta, and Vento) for 9:30pm which was a bit late for our family. If we return, we will make sure to book earlier reservations in advance. We definitely enjoyed the buffet and the cafe at the pool and ate lunch there several times. The customer service was outstanding. In particular, Miguel, Rafael, and Christian were all very attentive and made sure that we were happy. We rented a Bali Bed on our final day and it was the epitome of poolside bliss. Towels were continually replaced and drinks were neverending. We would definitely return and have only wonderful memories of our stay at the Paradisus. We will especially miss the adorable coatis and the iguanas! We never made it to the beach because the pool was so ideal!

Excellent resort! Don't let negative reviews of the beach deter you. It's a nice beach with powder soft sand. The water was warm and minimal seaweed. One Bedroom Master Suite was huge. Had everything you needed. The bathroom was fit for a king. The staff are amazing constantly serving you, checking on you, making sure you're having a great time. My 8 and 11 yo loved the water park and the pirate ship. Me and my husband did the water slides multiple times. My only wish was that the pool stayed open later than it does. The buffet was not bad. There were tons of options for everyone to pick from. I must say Mole was a great dining experience. The ambiance was nice. Soft music playing and nice lighting. Our server Moses was so kind and even brought out selections for us to try that we didn't order. His selections were amazing. We cleaned our plates! Try the grouper. You will thank me later. My husband barely got a few bites because our 8 year old was stealing it off his plate. So good!

We visited Paradisus in Sept 2022 and it was amazing! The hotel was great and the food was delicious. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. In particular the following staff contributed to making the experience more than exceptional Naos restaurant - Arlette, Maria & Valentina; Sunset bar - Joel & Alejandro who ensured we were looked after very well during the day. Thanks you to everyone who made it an unforgettable holiday!!

- construction onsite with loud noise, workers, Reserve pool is closed - no information on the Meliá site while booking - hotel manager informed about construction at check in but lied about noise - beach services for drinks close at 4 and towels at 5 - we paid for Reserve, not worth it - at $800-900 per night, it is a COMPLETE FAILURE AND WASTE - not an issue caused the the hotel, but the beach water is brown / red due to seaweed. Just FYI. In summary, at GO ELSEWHERE

We cannot say how great it was to stay at the Paradisus. As a family with two young kids (3 & 4) this was our first family vacation. The resort offered an activity for adults and children ever hour of the day. My husband went scuba diving, my kids LOVED the water park and I enjoyed everything about the trip. What made our trip exceptional was our concierge, Héctor. He did everything for us. Booked our dinners, answered our questions promptly, had surprises in our room for our kids and made our stay stress free. Thank you! We plan on coming back after the new year!

Second time visiting with small children. 1st time pre-Covid with concierge service (now called reserve). We went in Aug2022 with reserve-swimup option from room. Hotel was perhaps 40% full for reference. Our first 3-4 days/7 were not so fun as our youngest got sick (not due to hotel) and hotel staff and our concierge Nestor Herrera were amazing in helping where possible. 5/5. We still enjoyed ourselves where possible and kicked into high gear reminder of trip. We only stayed on resort, except small walk left of hotel beach to public beach (senotes naturales: natural inlet pool). Breakdown Food: very good to excellent. Portions ample. We never at at buffet. I’d skip the Japanese one unless teppanyaki table. Market place was so good we went twice. Mole (Mexican one) is ok but menu has become more “gringo” so don’t expect anything off the menu and exotic (unlike last time I had crickets and other local delicacies). Not staff fault, survey/market reserch what majority of visitors like. Fish restaurant was very nice too. We never had dinner at olio but almost had lunch and breakfast there everyday. The black rice lunch dish was too good, had it 4/7 times! Pros with olio it opens early, and close to reserve side, for reserve clientele. The snack-bars were also decent. One can eat healthy at most places at resort. Good options. 24h snack-bar at reserve was nice, as there were sandwiches and fresh fruit readily available. Drinks at bars is definitely palomas. Can’t go wrong. Note: bar at reserve pool is the best one, fastest one. No alcohol is served at bar at splash park with is ever so smart! We don’t need to see uncle Steve drunken dance at kids splash zone. Pools. Splash park is 5/5. Enough slides 5 total, to entertain everyone of all ages. Small splash area for toodles which was very nicely appreciated. Main pool had pirate ship (kids loved it), reserve pool is nice as not as crowded and unique for reserve clients. Beach was very bad. Turbulent opaque water and full of red algae. We dipped feet and after kids got rash, stayed pools and community beach. The water levels shrunk as city is not actively keeping senote maintained. Pity as I loved it last time. It was OK this time. Swimup was amazing. If you have funds, do not hesitate. Take it. Just keep in mind…leave nothing outside. Coati go everywhere, their home… Kids zone at reserve was great. Short (30-60 min) but they really liked it. The kids club activity near beach were fun for kids. Our concierge Nestor was VERY attentive, his positive and bubbly personality was very much appreciated by kids and ourselves, he made sure we had a great time even during a difficult start. Fitness club (adult side) was nice and clean. Sadly, fitness room in reserve side was closed due to Covid. Premium drinks ar reserve side was also nice touch. We ordered pizza and pasta often for kids via room service, very helpful and speedy. We did mistake few times to place trays outside room…bad idea! Coati are everywhere and will trash the dishes like a rock band at fancy hotel suite. For those that can afford reserve- I have no regrets and one gets priority for dinner reservations and times. We had early dinners (young kids) which was important for us. Buffet opens later which may be difficult for some. I also recommend swimup if available and within your budget. So nice to just pop into a pool from room, and quick dip or swim whenever. I’ve been to this hotel twice and I cannot think of any other hotel to visit in cancun. We’re believers. Out of hotels control, but getting transportation to and from hotel via Air canada was fair to bad. Takes 60-80 min, many stops and since low season, we were 1-2 rooms at this hotel. We got a minivan without drinks, washroom and faint AC. Not a great experience but again-NOT a hotel issue just a warning for travels to ensure they got that portion sorted out to not add stress to transport. $5 USD water bottles at airport bus terminal 500mL, price goring. Hotel was great in collecting suitcases and bringing them to drop off area. Sunscreen is $40 usd at stores for 20 mL so bring your own. Even at local pharmacy 200 m beside hotel is $25 usd. Give 4/5 overall as beds were kinda soft and pillows not fluffy and supportive. Not the best sleep but again-not a hard deal breaker. AC was very high, so bring appropriate clothing for small toddlers or infants. Final verdict: great experience, would return, highly recommend reserve service (but I’m sure it would be great even if not available) and more so swim up. After this review, Nestor will be in high demand :-) but he was really professional and attentive to our needs. Now go book your trip.

This resort has been nothing short of excellence in every way. The food, the staff, and the facilities are top notch. My only tiny complaint is that the rooms could use more outlets for phone chargers and whatnot. Aside from that, my family has thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
