What an amazing weekend! I have to commend Angelo, Kevin, Dora and Laila for making my stay at Paradisus SO PERFECT. Everyday greeted by name and always providing such fun and memorable days by the pool! The resort is clean and well kept, I will say the layout is a bit odd and you have to walk around / out of the way to get to things (but thats just the building itself). Food and drink accommodations were perfect - I just wish the bars would serve later than 2am..... !!

Hotel's Favorite
We just got back from the Paradisus this past weekend. We stayed for 4 nights and booked through Costco. The Costco package included flights, hotel and shared shuttle to and from the airport. This resort is huge and has 2 sides, we stayed on the La Perla side which is adults only. They also have the family friendly side called 'Esmeralda'. They are connected so you can walk from one to the other. We enjoyed our stay, it was clean, the staff was super friendly and the food was good considering it was all inclusive. The drinks were definitely not on the strong side but nothing extra shots on the side can't fix. We really liked dinner at Fuego, La Palapa and Passions. Tips: -Bring paper straws/reusuable straws with you, they don't provide any straws. -You can tip in USD, you don't need to convert your money to pesos before coming. -They will sit you down when you check in to get your reservations in for your dinner plans (which was nice) but they will end the conversation with an upsell for their time share type service. -If you order a regular margarita/mojito, so on, they will use whatever house liquor they have, but if you ask for a shot they usually give you a name brand (hornitos, casadores) -take mosquito repellent. -Passions is the only restaurant not included with the all inclusive, it ended up being $85 per person for guests. It was a cool experience but it's definitely bougie food (pate, tartar, caviar, etc)

Just got back from Paradisus La Perla. This is a very big resort. I found myself getting lost regularly. My room looked exactly how it does in the pictures. Very nice and spacious. The picture is a little deceiving because I thought that there would be a fish tank behind my bed but its just a light up picture. But the bed was huge and comfortable. Food: I really only ate at the buffet because I was not able to get reservations at any of the other restaurants. I could see the buffet getting boring if I had to just eat there for a whole week. Overall nice resort I wouldn't be in a rush to go back I'd probably try something else but not a bad stay.

My husband and I are so glad we chose Paradisus, La Perla (Royal Service) for our honeymoon. It is truly an incredible resort, with exceptional customer service. The first thing you will notice about Paradisus when you arrive is the sheer scale of the resort. It is huge. I really liked that when you arrive in a taxi, they have a check in / check out system. As the resort is divided into 3 sections, we had a buggy take us to the La Perla section of the resort which is for Adults Only. We stayed in the Royal Service Master Suite. It was very spacious, with a king size bed and a jacuzzi both in the bathroom and out on the balcony. The staff and their level of customer service was definitely the highlight for us. Amongst the 100’s of staff there, a few individuals really stood out for us. Renau at La Palapa is an incredible man. He is very knowledgeable, warm and just a tip top professional. Truly an asset to the Melia Group. The guys down at the Royal Service Private Pool, Elias, Daniel, Jorge, Alfredo & Amelio. These guys work so hard and they do it all with such professionalism and good cheer. We are really going to miss them! Finally, we would like to thank our butler Ximena. She checked in on us everyday, was very accommodating to all of our needs, including changing our dinner reservations multiple times, making sure our mini bar was constantly stocked with what we needed and even making sure I had the right pillow for my neck. There is about 12 restaurants in the resort, all with very different cuisines so you have plenty to choose from. Our favourite was La Palapa, it has such a nice atmosphere, really relaxed and the food is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only negative thing we felt about the restaurants was the wait time to be seated. Let’s say we had a dinner reservation for 8pm, we would arrive and give the hostess our name and room number. We would then be asked to ‘wait for a moment’ and then sit or stand around for 5-10 minutes before someone would come back and take us to our table. We just weren’t sure what we were waiting for? We made use of the gym, which is of a reasonable size. We liked that there was a main pool, which we called the ‘party pool’ when you were in the mood for a DJ and good music. As well as the Royal Service Private pool when you wanted to chill and relax. The YHI Spa is a nice touch. We utilised the steam room, saunas and spa. We felt the price list for the massages though was very excessive and could not justify paying those sorts of prices. There were also things like salsa classes, yoga, etc. All in all, we had a great time here and would definitely recommend this resort to our friends and family.
