We stayed at this hotel for the first time at the end of our two month holiday in Playa del Carmen. I can say this.... The staff is amazing and the grounds as well as the rooms are immaculate. House keeping, thank you, check in staff, thank you, management, thank you. Clean rooms, fabulous rooftop bar and pool.. Oh, and I better not forget our bartender on the roof, what an amazing young man. Great location, great service and a great stay. This is probably the only place we will go when we return.. I apologize for not remembering everyone's name....

We arrived with a reservation and they said they’d not got a room for 2nights in the same room, so they wanted us to change tomorrow. We didn’t want that for obvious reasons.., the desk manager refused to cancel and said I must call Booking.com for him. He was adamant that he wouldn’t help and said it wasn’t his problem that I wanted to cancel a room and I have a bad attitude. How strange…

The rooms are not like the pictures they are worn and dirty. The hot tub takes at minimum 45 minutes to fill and it doesn't fill with hot water. Then when you leave they will charge you for everything. They charged me 200 mx or $9 for a used bottle of body wash that was on the floor when we came into the room. $9 for a used cheap plastic bottle of body wash. Also parking is a nightmare!!!! When they say street parking available you better have tons of change before you come because the meters only take coins and nobody including the hotel will give you change. There are so many hotels in the area don't chose this one.

I wanted a rooftop bar, lounging under the stars, music, a high energy bar/bistro --and ever-flowing mescal drinks after visiting the Be Playa hotel website--along with a large hot tub in the center of my room to soak away all my stress. I was not disappointed. I had one relaxing week, made even more enjoyable by the excellent staff. Reception guru Alain answered all my questions and addressed all my needs--he's one charming and helpful amigo. (Massage? Pedicure? Gifts? Haircut? A driver? Side trips to beaches? Alain is the ultimate go-to guy.) I enjoyed my calm Mexican breakfasts (with endless café con leches) watching the colorful society stroll by and the dinners at the bar were outstanding. (Ask young bartender Daniel about the tasty salmon and rice dishes and what mixes well with mescal--he's a mixology master.) Housekeeping and maintenance arrived within five minutes when I had a few special requests. All in all, Be Playa was my place to be completely satisfied. (And that in-room hot tub--with magical potions provided to calm the muscles--truly epic.)…

Horrible rooms, all is broken and dirty, smells bad, the air conditioner does not work, I should go and pay another place, they said the rate is not reimbursable, even when they do not provide what they advertiste, far to be a boutique hotel. I have all the photos, please save your money and do not stay here. I have 3 rooms, all in the same horrible conditions. They use the “vintage “decoration to justify broken and no usable things. All the photos in the web site are not real. Horribles cuartos, nada sirve, todo esta sucio, muy lejos de ser un hotel boutique. No gastes aqui tu dinero, yo reserve 3 habitaciones las 3 en malas condiciones una peor que la otra. Huele horrible. Tuve que buscar otro hotel, y be hotel dice que el $$ no es reembolsable. Be Playa has a great view, environment and service by the bartenders at the roof top. The rock band, FUSA gave me an incredible night for my birthday. Vero, the manager also gave us a great service.

I got their biggest room and it was too big for one person. Lots of space. The bed seemed like a California king. The breakfast was included and it was a restaurant, made to order breakfast that was really good and kept me full till dinner. Alex at the front desk was very helpful in booking excursions and giving advice about places to go and travel options. I booked a Chichen Itza and Cozumel snorkeling tour with them and both were fantastic. They picked me up and dropped me back off at the hotel. The tour guides for snorkeling were very helpful in trying to get us acclimated to the masks.

We stayed at this hotel for 12 days and the experience was great. It's perfectly located, just a few steps from 5th avenue, where all the fun happens. We had a wonderful time at the pool bar in the rooftop, the service was impecable. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. If your are staying at Playa del Carmen, Be Playa is one of the best options for many reasons: Location, amenities, service, budget, food and drinks, etc.

I stayed at this hotel with a crew if 15 people for work last month and the hotel was amazing. The restaurant and pool bar are wonderful, and the manager helped us in so many ways with all of our requests. Extremely accommodating and just a great place to stay especially if your looking to have fun and go out to restaurants and bars. I will stay here for every work trip to mexico for sure.
