Great hotel with the most amazing staff! We spent a week from Sept 2-9 wish we’d stayed longer coming from UK. We had some trouble at the airport with private transfer as no-one there waiting on us, so had to find the taxi rep - not impressed after a long flight- next time I would just choose shuttle bus with TUI. On arrival at hotel we were greeted warmly and efficiently. Visited Moon Palace years ago, Playacar is much smaller but perfect for us this time with older child as looking for a quieter holiday. Hotel is spotless clean, food is good and plentiful, staff knowledgeable about menu regarding gluten free options (being coeliac) I would prefer Cafe del Mar food to be labelled what is gluten free to avoid asking all the time- but staff always happy to help or make something special in kitchen to avoid contamination. Staff in the hotel made our stay extra special - Roberto in Cafe del Mar - such a warm caring man whose English is amazing and able to have a full interesting conversation everyday made breakfast and lunch enjoyable and always ensuring we had our favourite drinks ready on arrival, including Israel, Manuela. Every day at the pool special shout out to Rodrigo and Perla at the wet bar serving us all day delicious cocktails at the pool and never without a smile. Ignatio and Aaron on hand every day to assist us with our sunbeds and umbrellas.Letitia at the lobby bar also very warm and friendly - a true asset to the hotel. Not forgetting Abigail our chamber maid who cleaned our room daily - always a perfect job. Thank you to all of the above employees who made our stay extra special! We will definitely return to Palace Resorts as staff are second to none in my opinion! …

This is a small, clean, well-kept resort with absolutely the best employees ever! The service is fantastic, and you're treated like family. From the front desk to your room, the pool, bars and restaurant's everyone is focused on great customer service. You won't regret staying at Playacar Palace. If you go, make sure and visit Carmen and Isabel in the lobby, Israel, Setero, Selena, Yesenia, Julisa and Rigoberto in Cafe Del Mar. Miquel in Momo's. Salvador in Lahana. Ignacio, Aaron, Carmen, Alexis, Benito, Perla, Daniela, Ingrid, Sylvia, Ana, Valentin, and Carmelino at the pool and beach. Also, ask for Eder and tell him I said hello!

Great time great staff. In the shuttle ride to hotel 2 other families were in the shuttle and had both been to the hotel before so I knew I had made the right choice on where to spend 7 days! Short walk to 5th Ave

I don't know where to begin...it was just magical as soon as we arrived. Check-in was a breeze, but we were a little early, so we grabbed a bite a Cafe Del Mar. DEE-LISH, and a great variety. Now off to our beautiful walk-out suite. Maria kept it clean and immaculate every day, complete with turndown service and some yummy chocolates. We had room service twice..quick service..food was great and HOT..! When we had breakfast at the buffet, Julian always greeted us with a smile, and we were seated very quickly. Israel, Roberto, Alexander and Jaime always made sure we had plenty of coffee, juices or water to start our day. Most days were at the pool. Rodrigo provided us with amazing service, along with Perla, Sylvia and Carlos. Gerson, Daniel and Eric kept us entertained all day long. Their energy is contagious, it was always a fun day with each and everyone one of them. Aaron and Ignacio set up our umbrellas and provided us with towels. They were constantly checking on us, moving the umbrellas so we weren't in the blazing sun. The pool area was immaculate. Ate at the snack bar, and the food was yummy..and great service. Again, very clean and well-kept. Dinner we tried the teppanyaki at Momo. Easy to get a reservation...food was amazing...service was fantastic. Our favorite restaurant was Madre Mia. Karla greeted us and sat us very quickly. We were also greeted by Herlin...very warm and welcoming. Alfredo was very knowledgeable about the menu (this was our first time here), and explained in detail all our choices. Angela, Arturo and Fernando were also there to make our dinner experience just fabulous..and it was delicious..! I complimented the kitchen staff on the way out ( Santos, Tonanzi, Cesar and Jesus) and they were all so charming. The service you get from this staff is just incredibel. They treat you like family, always anticipating what you will need. The grounds are immaculate..the beach was gorgeous (very little seaweed). We stayed in a walkout..beautiful, peaceful and quiet. We met many wonderful guests...and many amazing staff. We will be back for sure. Special thanks to our dear pool server..Rodrigo. He could not have done any more then to make our pools days just perfect. His service was incredible, and his personality was contagious...always with a smile and a warm greeting. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect day..everyday. He is amazing. Even our airport transfers were great. Two of us arriving at different times...different terminal..but they managed to pick up and drop off together. Thank you for making this a vacation of a lifetime.. Fabulous resort. Staff was super friendly. Everyday they had something fun to do. Five restaurants to choose from. Favorite was the Cafe. Different kind of menu every single time. Super clean and quiet. Highly recommend it.

What a fabulous week. We loved every minute. The hotel was so attentive and immaculate. We were looked after exceptionally well by our waiters, Roberto, Jaime, Israel & Alexander, so friendly and always made sure everything was perfect. A huge shout out to the entertainment staff who were simply the best, Erik, Daniel, Dana, Qerson & Rodrigo keep everyone entertained all day. The beach is beautiful and safe to walk on, we also took the ferry to Cozumel and were able to use the sister hotel for the day. We will be back for sure. We stayed in a presidential suite; which worked great for the 6 ladies on the trip. We loved the great care given to us by Paola Bautista Nuñez, Public Relations Vacation Club Manager, Daniel, manager of the restaurants and Ignacio, Diamond Pool Concierge. They were all professional and very attentive to our requests and just making sure our trip was fantastic. We loved the entertainment provided by @HappyBandMexico in Madre Mia one evening. Lizzy and Cesar were wonderful. She made sure we were all dancing and even taught us how to cha cha. Herson provided great entertainment by the pool. He led a great water aerobics class. And he remembered all of our names.

I loved my holiday at Playa, the resort was fantastic and just the right size. The staff really made it, they all wanted to please and couldn't do enough for you especially Jesus at the pool, Alfredo, Luis the bellboy, Sandra a activies desk, Roberto and Ricardo, I wish I could remember everyone else. We had a problem with the airconditioning in our room and they addressed the problem straight way and gave us another room promptly. The drinks were premium quality just as advertised and not watered down like at other resorts. The activities around the pool were great and playing volley ball and aqua aerobics with the staff was a lot of fun. If you wanted to improve the resort I would suggest that the pool be a little cooler as its not refreshing when its so hot outside, also we like to sit in the outdoor spa but you just couldn't it was way to hot and no one was in it the whole 7 days we were there. The nightly entertainment could do with some improvement, but having said that it wouldn't deter me from coming back again, only wish it was closer to Australia.…

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! From check-in to check-out it was flawless! Staff was very pleasant and entertaining and very hard working! Wish we could have stayed longer!
