We had a great time exploring Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. Highly recommend Playacar Palace, best food and service! Carmen was the best bar tender at the pool, but all the servers work as a team, the food and drinks were great at the pool! Dinner at the Italian restaurant was also fantastic. Rooms were very nice.

My wife and I went to Playacar Palace for a couples trip in October. We arrived in Cancun and were informed that Hurricane Delta was hitting Cancun at a Category 4. Our membership at Palace Resorts was the best thing for us. They took us in and sheltered us with about 3500 other guests to their Convention Center at Moon Palace. We were completely safe, great accommodations and plenty of food and water. Once Hurricane Delta passed, we were able to head to Playacar Palace for our vacation. One of the most beautiful destinations in Cancun. We were greeted by the staff with open arms, right after a Hurricane just hit. We had an amazing two weeks at Playacar Palace. Every morning, we had great service at breakfast. Francis the manager at Del Mar welcomed us every morning. Dionicio, Portfirio and Sortero were amazing. Friendly and kind each day. We were at the beach everyday to enjoy the amazing ocean and view. Ignacio, the Lifeguard, kept us safe and watched over our area all week. Gaby was awesome all two weeks bringing us ceviche, special drinks, and great lunches. Edar, the diamond pool concierge, made our days at the beach special. He works extremely hard taking care of our every need. He had our beach chairs set up for us everyday.. We also had a great tour on bikes with Brenda around Playa del Carmen. The activity Director Alex is the best. Great time paddle boarding early in the morning. Then he had great entertainment in the evenings after dinner. Elvis is alive!! The Mexico Show. Thanks Brenda and Alex. Dinners were amazing every night. The Italiano and Momo Restaurants are excellent. Jesus, Antonio, Dubar, Ricardo and Luis are the best. Had great suggestions for creative dinners and deserts. See photos. Antonio, the Manager, really went out of his way to make sure we had the best table, romantic dinners, great wine suggestions and amazing creative deserts. Momo has the best Teppanykai Table. Jonathon and Mario are amazing chefs. Paola, the manager, really made sure we had great service from Antonio and Pablo. They also have been creative by adding Shabu Shabu menu. Very different style if dinner, excellent. Cesar iand Miguel helped prepare a great dinner for us. Would never expect this in Playa del Carmen. Very creative. We had an amazing special dinner on the beach for our last night. Lobster, Salmon, Shrimp, Steaks and great deserts. Fabiola and Olivia really took care of for this dinner. The General Manager, David Rubio, runs an amazing Vacation Resort. The best on in Playa del Carmen!. We couldn’t have this special vacation without Paola and her team member, Tania. They had all our dinner reservations, spa menu and activities all ready for us for the two weeks. They really make our trip special. Thank you David Rubio for your whole team. They are like family to us and they always have a smile on their face, in the aftermath of the Hurricane, they still provided the best service, food and ambiance that a couple could ask for. Go to Playacar Palace.

We have been coming here for over 10 years and we just return from our week vacation on November 8th. Very disappointing to say the least. First of all, they promised us 1,500 resort credits which they didn’t honor because their policy changed as of August 1st. Even though our reservation confirmation stated that we were entitled to the $1500 resort credits per room, they still would not honor it. Secondly, The food in the Italian restaurant and at Momo‘s Japanese restaurant was horrible. And lastly, the way they treat their staff is absolutely ridiculous. One of the pool waitresses who is such a hard worker was crying because of her boss Omar. This is very hard to witness.

We were evacuated to here from Cozumel palace due to Zeta. Upon checking in, we were given a double bed with partial ocean view. We asked for a room that is comparable to a “king size with ocean front” because that’s what we paid for! Response from Katrina “oh we don’t have any available and we are waiting to check everyone in.” Ok We let it go since a hurricane was on the radar. Following day We asked for a room change again, an upgrade or another room with a king size bed. Response was nothing is available and the rooms at playacar are actually more expensive. At least you are not staying at a shelter. Well, this was why we paid $400 instead of $40 per night. Secondly, we didn’t ask to get evacuated and had to drag our luggage onto the ferry then back to Cozumel!!! Cancun and Riviera got hit just as hard by the hurricane. And How can you have no rooms if the resort is only serving 25-30% capacity???!!?? And when we asked for a partial refund for the night we “stayed” in a double bed room, they refused because the situation was in the hands of act of god and the resort continued to provide us food. This is an all inclusive so I believe that’s what your customers had paid for. You are supposed to provide us food!!!! But shout out to Mario and Antonio at the habachi grill, yall rocked and deserved the tip!!! In short the management doesn’t value nor respect you as a customer. During this pandemic, they should be appreciative that they have business and not be frugal. However, They have not only lost me as a customer, I’ll not recommend and ensure that all my friends, family and coworkers will not stay here nor any of the sisters resort.

The hotel has been remodeled extensively, along with the pools. We preferred the more adult style resorts as we are middle aged adults. We have been to this resort several times and , the upgrades are very nice with, usb connections at the bedside. The shower has the rain head with plenty of pressure to make you feel rejuvenated. The wait staff are very attentive and usually return before your drinks are finished. The Air conditioning in the rooms is much better but ,the thermostat reads in Celsius. A simple google to covert C to F degree. You can request your favorite sodas to be restocked in the mini fridge and, it is maintained daily. The restaurants leave more to be desired as due to covid restrictions, leaves the staff a little overwhelmed, making sure you get hand sanitizer to every guest who enters the restaurant before you serve yourself. Mask are required in the hotel and restaurants, unless your seated. I would highly recommend. The spa did overcharge our credit card converted pesos to dollars.
