booked superior king suite. nice, clean and modern design. the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I loved the ladies at the front desk. I had laundry to do and they provided the service at a good cost. they let us check in early and answered any questions we had. when it was raining, they offered us umbrellas. a nice touch was when we came back, parched. and there were always 2 glass water dispensers with I think lemon + pomegranate? detoxing water. was a nice refreshment every time we stepped in. I loved our room. it was spacious, clean, and convenient with a good hairdryer that hotels usually lack on. anything that was needed was delivered in a prompt manner. 10/10 would come to this hotel again. thanks playa marquee! you guys were great. give everyone a raise!

Great location. A block from fifth avenue, friendly staff, rooftop pool, big rooms with 10ft ceilings and great balconies. While some other reviewers have mentioned the noise level from the street is very loud we did not find that to be the case, if you are used to complete silence when you sleep maybe it would be an issue but if you live in a large city the noise isnt really even noticeable. The hotel does provide earplugs in the room in case the noise is too much. Beautiful newly renovated rooms, we had the king room, note the shower is glass and faces the room, which is great for a couple maybe not so much for friends. Very secure area, 24 hr 711 store a block away, several cafes and restaurants and a pharmacy immediately around the hotel. Check in is easy and fast. The rooms look exactly like the pictures. Fridges included in each room, robes, a yoga mat and safe.

The entrance is not well marked and the front door is controlled by the receptionist, so if they are not at the desk, you may not find your way in easily. The staff were very knowledgeable and helped us arrange excursions to Chichen-Itza and Las Coloradas. There is a sushi restaurant adjoined on the ground floor and a rooftop hotel restaurant. The king suite we had was spacious and open planned. The bed was comfortable. The only issue we had was that due to the proximity to 5th Avenue, we heard loud music as late as 4am as the hotel had insufficient sound insulation. If you are not a night owl, you can find accommodations in quieter areas that are still walking distance from 5th Avenue (central area).
