My wife and I have been trying to get away and visit Merida for years, we found this beautiful B&B hosted by Dave & Patrick. What a wonderful place, one of the best B & B we have stayed in. Our excursion to the Haciendas was amazing. . Our breakfasts were delicious, along with Patricks home made English muffins, very very delicious. Merida is a beautiful and safe place to visit. We are glad its open.. Merida has so many places to visit and explore. We highly recommend this beautiful B&B with excellent services. Thank you Dave and Patrick LeeRoy & Celia

We had such a good time here. Its not just the nice rooms, pool and roof terrace (where you can watch a couple of hummingbirds doing the rounds), its about Dave and Patrick who are so welcoming and helpful and great fun to be with. We had a complete blast here. A superb breakfast was prepared for us each morning with constantly topped up coffee, which set us up for the day. We had originally booked a stop in Celestun which we cancelled and instead did a daytrip with Dave and Anson (another guest). It worked out really well. Dave was as enthusiastic about seeing all the birdlife as we were and knew where to tell the boatman to go to make the most of the trip, following it up with a swim and lunch at a beach restaurant which did the best shrimp we've ever eaten. On the way back we diverted via a couple of small towns to look at churches and ruined haciendas as well as learning all about otters and bears from Dave and Anson....who knew! They had also organised a ticketed masked party while we were there with Mardi Gras coming, which was a really good night.Just wonderful to sit down and talk to so many interesting people of varying orientations from different countries. It was such a refreshing change in this increasingly polarised world. Don't be put off by the distance from the centre. The Uber app. works here and they turned up within 5 minutes every time and it was so cheap, and there is a really nice little family run Italian restaurant only five minutes walk away if you don't feel like going into the city to eat in the evening. If you're travelling to Merida, try to stay here. You owe it to yourself.

Hosts Dave and Patrick have a lot of heart, and it shows in all they do. From delicious homemade breakfast in the morning, to the evening gatherings at happy hour, and everything in between. My two weeks in Merida would not have been the same without them and their wonderful 4-legged friends!! Tour the jungle during the day, enjoy lunch, then steam room and massage when you get back to the hotel. The garden is charming, the property is relaxing, and you can let yourself be pampered for a while. Thank you!!!

The b n b is beautiful, you enter through gates that transform you to another place. Once inside the hosts Dave and Patrick could not have been more accommodating- anything you need, food, drinks, tours, meeting people in Merida- they take care of everything! And are hysterical! Had the best time as a single traveller, felt safe and welcomed. I had thought about going to The Diplomat which is a much higher priced hotel and am so glad I didn't- while in Merida I visited and it is very cold and feels pretentious, completely the opposite of Ochenta y Dos which is like home away from home and very elegant. I will be back and 100% endorse Ochenta y Dos!

This is a beautiful, well designed house with lovely but comfortable furnishings. Dave and Patrick are wonderful hosts, so willing to help make your vacation memorable. They have a wealth of knowledge of the whole area, which they are willing to share. The ambience is one of relaxation and leisure. Very comfortable bed and we loved showering in the “garden”. The heated pool was just one more measure of comfort we thoroughly enjoyed. Having left my little dog at home, I was badly needing a “doggy” fix and their 5 adorable, well behaved little rescues added so much to our stay. We left having made new friends over the evening Happy Hour’s interesting conversation, delicious wine and home made appies. I must add, breakfasts were delicious, with all guest around one beautifully set table, sharing their plans for the day. We are looking forward to our return visit next Winter, Thank you, Dave and Patrick...have a great trip. Norman, hope you loved your hair!
