Las Escaleras is located within walking distance of everything downtown. Neil was very helpful and provided us with information about restaurants ect. Check in and check out was quick and simple. The set up of Las Escaleras is very accommodating with access to a full kitchen, reading area and pool.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 Days, room 1. The home is lovely, centrally located, helpful tips in a book in the room. Maps were handy as well. The bikes were nice for Sunday bike day. Out of all of our B&B experiences, I just didn’t feel we connected with our host. He was professional and cordial, but I lacked a connection that we have experienced at other places. Lovely to have the wine, beer, coconut water honor bar! Always felt safe walking and exploring the city from this home base as well.

We just spent 5 lovely days soaking up the sun and culture of Merida and enjoyed our relaxing and comfortable stay at Las Escalares. I cannot say enough good things about this warm and welcoming guest house: - the location is easy to get to and an easy walk to the Central historical district - the house itself is charming and well appointed - the host is well organized, a clear communicator, helpful and kind - the pool and grounds are beautiful and comfortable - the setting and street is tranquil and quiet - the bakery across the street serves croissants rivaling anything I've tasted in France Overall, this was an excellent choice for our stay and it was a very good value, too.

We enjoyed our weekend in Merida staying at this lovely guesthouse. It was walking distance from the ADO came ternpminal, and to the centre own attractions, NEil was a generous host and accommodated our very early arrival. Communication prior to arrival was excellent and helpful. The guesthouse is as described in pictures and we enjoyed the courtyard, the rooftop terrace and found our room to be comfortable and welcoming.

My husband and I drove to Merida from Cancun to escape the resort trap on my 39th Bday, so we made a last minute booking here through Airbnb. The place is as beautiful as it's pics. The host was welcoming and we appreciated meeting his 2 cats lol. He offered nicely detailed suggestions on nightlife, restaurants and cultural experiences printed out and in your room. Usage of kitchen is allowed and the top 2 levels of the home are decks for lounging. We met 2 other families on the property, 1 from the Netherlands and 1 from Berkeley, CA. Merida is a said to be a super safe city where you can feel comfortable walking at any time of the night. We definitely enjoyed parking the car and taking the walk through the super nearby restaurants, cantinas and squares. You can truly walk anywhere from the house. Super sweet. We only had 1 night but could imagine having a few days here quite comfortably.
