If you're looking for a good central place to stay with a nice pool area, this is a good option right across from Santa Lucia plaza. Just keep in mind that lowest priced rooms are not great and book something better. Best rooms are facing the courtyard/pool area. Some rooms smell moldy/musty, so make sure to see the room first before accepting it. I also suspect they give worse rooms if you book via a third party, so you may want to book direct instead. We were first assigned a Superior room (highest level) with 2 beds on the top floor facing the pool. It was nicely appointed with comfortable mattresses and a huge bathroom. However, it was the last room left, likely because it smelled extremely moldy. Airing it out didn't help, so we moved down one floor to a slightly less upscale room with 2 beds and harder mattresses. This room had a faulty toilet but we decided to deal with it as there were no other rooms left at the hotel. Our mini fridge didn't work, but the staff did bring another one. Cleaning staff was nice but not always on top of it. They often forgot to leave a towel or two or to clean the room without us asking. On the plus side, shower pressure in the rooms we saw is amazing, and showers have huge rain shower heads. A/C is quiet and works well. The pool area is amazing with hammocks and loungers, perfect for relaxation. Breakfast at the steakhouse attached to the hotel is included. You can select any dish from the menu and you receive juice and coffee as well. This is a nice perk as the food is well-made. Make sure to tip the waiter, or they'll remind you that tip is not included. The same restaurant also provides room service during the day. We would definitely stay here again, but would probably only choose a specific room in the Superior category.…
Well located comfortable place to call home. Rooms large and spacious, staff super friendly, awesome free breakfast including freshly cooked eggs, pancakes, ham/cheese quesadillas, coffee, juice, and fruit plate. Pool area nice and comfortable. Plenty of health/safety protocols. Nice place!
We were greeted wonderfully upon arrival. This boutique hotel is in a great location of Merida. Our luggage was spray sanitized, temps taken, shoes sanitized, etc. Hotel knew we were traveling to celebrate our 30th anniversary. They had extra touches in our room-flowers, chocolate, etc. We had originally planned to stay at another hotel in the area but they had ac/water system damage due to recent hurricane but I had contacted Casa Lucia and they were quick to reply that they were up and running without any issues. The elevator was not operating on our stay so that was a negative. Upon arrival our room was hot and stuffy/the ac had not been turned up prior to our arrival and we were hot/tired from a long day of travel. We walked across the street and enjoyed great food and drink-great pizza, etc. We never used the pool, our room was quiet near the back of the hotel. Breakfast included in the attached restaurant was quaint and wonderful. We decided to leave one day early as business was finalized earlier than we expected, hotel offered us 50% back on that last night stay.…
This boutique hotel is just amazing and the staff even better. We met a wonderful people during our stay! Victor at the front desk was beyond helpful and really name us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay.
We stayed here during our travels through the Yucatan region and it was great. We were the only guests for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Breakfast was hot and fresh served out by the pool for us, the restaurant was closed. The pool was a life saver in this hot region. The room was very spacious and had great AC, We were in the Chichan Itz room, but they all seem to be similarly sized just different bed arrangements.
