If you plan to visit Merida and DON’T stay at Casa Ana B+B, you’ll be missing out on a most absolutely wonderful place. Situated on a quiet street, it features a clean, comfortable, nicely decorated room, a small pool surrounded by a magnificent garden (great for relaxing after a hot Merida day), excellent and varied breakfasts, you’re only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the center of town...all at a truly reasonable price. We paid 50 USD in March 2022. Two words sum up Casa Ana: tranquility and beauty.
I highly recommend Casa Ana to my fellow travellers in Yucatan. Rooms are big and super tidy, the staff is welcoming and very helpful, and the inside patio of Ana’s house is a dream you can enjoy at any moment of the day. Flowers, trees, birds and the pool will make you feel warm and cosy. The place is nice, clean, very quiet and close to everything :)
This is my second time staying at Casa Ana and it never disappoints. The touches, the home feel, and the hospitality is A1! Mariana and Ana are the best hosts in town and the attention to detail is absolute perfection. I stayed there during the Holidays in December 2020 and they were following all the Covid guidelines and then some. I felt totally safe and the room and house were spotless. I highly recommend Casa Ana. We will be traveling to Merida in June and of course, I will staying at Casa Ana.
We visited Merida for a wedding and Casa Ana was the perfect retreat in a busy Mexican city. It’s within walking distance to many restaurants and other local activities. We happened to be there in July and it was very hot. It was nice to have a pool to cool off in right outside our door. The hosts were very nice and always willing to help us navigate the city. Every morning we were treated to wonderful fresh fruit for breakfast. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable.
What a beautiful spot in Merida. It has become my home away from home. Planning another trip to beautiful Merida and it would not be complete unless I stay with the two very kind and hospitable ladies at Casa Ana.Exceptional breakfasts. Great bedrooms to sleep in. Beautiful gardens. The best hospitality. I think this will be vist 4 or 5.
Recently I stayed at Casa Ana. My stay there was wonderful. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever had. Casa Ana is beautiful. The accommodations were very inviting. It is a great place to stay. I highly recommend it when in Merida.
We spent 8 nights at Casa Ana and it was great. It was very hot in Merida and after a few hours out and about it was great to come back to the hotel for siesta in the pool gardens or in the cool of our room. Ana is fluent in English having lived in the US for number of years so she was very helpful. Everything is very clean and comfortable. We met interesting guests at breakfast each morning. Well located with the town centre and excellent restaurants within several blocks...long blocks that were a little bit challenging for my husband who has mobility issues but doable. What would I suggest? Provide free drinking water. It isn't a big cost to have one of those big bottles on a dispenser and would mean a lot to the guests.
When visiting an unfamiliar place for the first time, do you want to stay in a comfortable friendly hotel. Or do you want to stay in a beautiful home away from home, with a host who makes you feel welcome and special. A host who has all the answers to your many questions about this new location and a host who goes above and beyond when you need help with a more out of the ordinary issue. Creative and delicious breakfasts start your day just right. A comfortable room with lovely hot showers. AC and fans. A beautiful garden with various cosy sitting areas around a small pool. Not to mention the resident cat with personality and a touch of feline attitude. Do not hesitate to contact Anna for your next stay in Merida.I promise you will not regret it.
Casa Ana is the perfect place to stay in Merida. It is a small, quiet, Bed and Breakfast run by two extraordinary women. Casa Ana is a small, clean, quiet, comfortable, safe, and centrally located bed and breakfast. Each of the rooms has its own bath and air conditioning. There is a large garden between the front house and the most of the places guests stay. In the garden, there are chairs on which to lounge and a clean small pool. Outdoors, under a roof there is a refrigerator for guests stocked with bottles of water, where you can also store your own libations. The owners serve a great breakfast every morning, and you cannot beat the price, at $60/night. In addition, you can walk from Casa Ana (fewer than 6 blocks) in three directions for many choices of great restaurants, bars, museums, and shopping. Take a taxi or a lorry to beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches, only 35 minutes away. Rent a car/take a bus to see the Yucatan's IXMAL ruins, only 90 minutes away. This winter will be my third several week stay at Casa Ana; it has my highest recommendation.…
We stayed at Casa Ana for 2 nights with a young child. The hosts were amazing: very helpful, nice, they treated us almost like family! Communication was no issue, they speak great english. The place was clean an quite, we enjoyed the little pool in during hot afternoon. Hosts also have bottled water and sodas for purchase. It’a about 10 min walk to the city center, we did it with the stroller. Sidewalks were challenging at times but we were able to get around without issues. Overall great place to stay, I would recommend to anybody!
