We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It felt pretty well located - about 12 mins from the Plaza Grande and an equally easy walk to the Passé de Montejo - so we only found ourselves getting an Uber twice in the trip. We treated ourselves to the big room with the bath and it was incredibly beautiful. We have stayed in many fantastic hotels and this one was definitely one of the best rooms. The air-con was also efficient which was absolutely essential in Merida! The staff were always friendly and the room was super clean. We chilled by the pool during the afternoon on my birthday which was a lovely escape from the heat. I ordered a cocktail which they gave me for free which was a nice treat. A couple of little wobbles prevented this from being a 5*: - the bath was amazing but really badly designed and flooded the bathroom (and couldn't get hot enough) which meant I could only face using it once - they didn't replenish the bottle of water which I found surprising - there is no fridge which meant we couldn't keep our own water chilled - there is a lack of storage (particularly no drawers) and not enough hangers in the wardrobe - there was building work in the lobby but no one notified us of it and I was woken up before 8am due to the noise of the construction - I know these things are necessary sometimes but they should have let us know when we checked in to manage our expectations. Without a doubt I would recommend and gladly stay here again.…
Very nice boutique hotel well located in the centre of the town. Guarded parking facilities Lot of attention in the interior design : wooden furniture, flowers, outdoor pool area. Rooms are spacious, the outside shower is incredible. The full set is peaceful. Very good breakfast, with a charming tableware. The staff was very nice and so helpful during our stay. We highly recommend the hotel !
I really loved my stay here, this place really delivers. As far as overall design, when you walk in it is immediately calming. There is a beautiful courtyard and pool and a patio with tables for eating meals. It feels like a little oasis in the city. My room was absolutely fantastic. The design was modern but comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept really well. The design aesthetic is just cool without being gimmicky at all. The folks working there are lovely and so, so helpful. I wanted to book private transport to Uxmal and some cenotes and so I emailed them ahead of time and they arranged everything for a great price. The day of my trip they coordinated my departure and even gave me a box lunch to take with! I would absolutely stay here again and I've already recommended the place to friends and family. I truly don't understand anyone who would give it less than a 5/5 rating.…
This hotel is conveniently located just on the edge of the touristy centro, near the southern end of the paseo, and down the street from a few of Merida’s best restaurants. The service is friendly and helpful, and they have a parking arrangement nearby in a garage. The pool is small but lovely—we spent hours in it—enjoying the quiet of the courtyard out of the hubub of the street. We stayed in Room 1, which we recommend—large room, huge bathroom, high ceilings, all nicely appointed. Plenty of air conditioning. No noise problems. The plumbing is a little weird, but met our needs.
I can’t possibly gush enough about how wonderful this lovely hotel is. We had the pleasure of staying twice during our Yucatán vacation, and still that didn’t seem enough. The gorgeous property strikes the perfect balance of charm and hospitality, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and frictionless. The rooms are well appointed, bathrooms clean (with ample space), and beds very comfortable. We will definitely return, hopefully soon.
We loved our weeks stay los Palomas. The hotel is beautiful to the eye, and was everything you could ask for in a small boutique hotel. We got to know Jessica, the manager who was fantastic and assisted us in any needs we had and this carried on to the rest of the staff who were so absolutely nice and professional also. The room was always spotless, as were the hotel grounds and the daily breakfast was wonderful. Thanks to all our new friends at Los Palomas; we will be back!
Absolutely stunning boutique hotel. The staff were really good people, made sure we had everything we needed but not intrusive. Very knowledgeable too and helped us with our tourist activities in the nearby area for Pyramids, Cenotes and the beach. Fantastic breakfasts. Fresh fruits, eggs, coffee, fruit juices. Perfect start to the day. The interior courtyard with pool is absolutely stunning, you can tell they really put a lot of effort into creating this beautiful space. My wife & I aren't finished with Merida, there's still so much more to see and so many incredible restaurants to experience so we will absolutely stay here again
The design of the hotel is very thoughtful, and the outdoor/courtyard space is especially beautiful. Great location near both local hotspots and the historic city center. The staff offered great recommendations for day trips and things to do nearby.
After our Airbnb got flooded due to the huricane we 'rushed' to this hotel, to find a haven of serenity, nice smelling rooms (which is rare in moldy, humid Merida), dry feet and above all - a very welcoming staff. The smaller character of the hotel makes it very peaceful - yet you have more than enough private space, since the court yard is way bigger than you'd think and so nicely decorated by Paloma (hence the name). My husband's birthday literally fell in the water, but Residence Manager Vladimir pro actively asked me what I had originally planned for him and went above and beyond to make my plans reality. He drove all the way to the other side of town to buy a gift, a cake and candles. In the rest of our stay we were impressed by his skills to 'feel the room' everytime. He has a great sense of hospitality - smart, friendly and very service oriented. We got the room with the garden view on the ground floor - which had an outside shower. If it's available, book this one! It really adds a lot of value! During the weekdays we need to work and the WiFI was good enough to do video calls at the same time - both in the hotel room as on the terrace. The pool is very nice and the daybeds are super comfortable. Even so comfortable, that in the weekend we just stayed there and ordered food. The breakfast is simple, but very tasty and there's more than enough nice restaurants (go to Apoala!!) around on walking distance or you can order food through Rappi or Uber Eats). There's also a communal kitchen - in which we could cook a full meal on one night. In short - we had an amazing time! We were planning on staying 2 night and extended it twice to a full week. Thank you to the great staff!!!…
Escaping from Delta hurricane we drove to Merida and stayed for 2 days at this great and cozy hotel. Which is very well located and with very good maintenance of the property. What made our trip AMAZINGLY good; having in mind we were in the middle of storms and close to a hurricane, was Vladimir the guy at the front desk and who’s also running the show at the hotel. He did EVERY SINGLE thing to make us feel welcome and helped us go through this difficult trip (every restaurant and Store were closed). Vladimir attitude and service is out of this WORLD! Thanks a lot for your help Vladimir!!!
