We stayed in the hotel for only one night, unfortunately. Because we loved the ambiance, the room and the location. Very friendly staff and owner. The hotel brings you back to the old days without being outdated at all. Authentic feeling of how people lived in these great mansions. Very special place and highly recommended!
A room that will make you feel like a sisal (henequen) baron. Spacious enough to have a football game in the room, high ceilings which could fir another room and furniture from La Belle Epoque. Chef Gama is worth having dinner at the hotel.
We spent 4 nights at the beautiful Mansion Merida Boutique hotel last week and enjoyed every minute of it: The luxuriously appointed hotel is absolutely stunning: Breakfast in the courtyard with Yucatan and international favorites a la carte, music and dancers to enhance the ambience. Our room was stunning, featuring 25 foot ceilings, detailed floor and wall designs and antiques. The bed/matress was very comfortable and air conditioning powerful. All rooms were very clean. The hotel is located within one block of the main square - you can pretty much walk to any restaurants, shopping and sites. The pool is good size and comfortable to lounge at. We enjoyed two dinners at the hotel restaurant and sat outside, enjoying the view of the square nearby. Food quality was excellent, particularly for the Yucatan delicacies. The bar tenders were well-trained and the bar well stocked. The personnel is professional and warm. The general manager, Raul, ensures that every guest has an excellent experience and will go to great length to assist. We booked a private tour to Chichen-Itza, Izamal and a Zenote through the hotel, no problem. This is Mexico at its best!…
I have been traveling for decades but seldom I have found such a mix of discreet luxury and elegance. The rooms are really original and in fact you live more in a rich house than in a hotel. The service is good and the restaurant as a very interesting menu.
We have not been on vacation in Mexico before and chose Youcatan peninsula. Mansion Merida offers everything you want: big rooms, high ceilings, luxury furniture, breakfast on the balcony with wiew of the garden. Excellent bar and restaurant. We had view of the park and the cathedral. We could not wish anything better except for possibly faster wifi.
My friend and I stayed here last minute (you will see her review on Trip Advisor, too). Ivan in reception was so helpful, so was Jafet. My friend and I are well-traveled and usually would not need reception/concierge services to navigate a new place. However, Ivan and Jafet helped us coordinate support for an incident outside the hotel that eventually in bed the police, and coordinated our COVID testing for reentry to the US at the hotel. Also, if you have a chance to chat with Brandon, the pianist at breakfast, he is so pleasant, too.
My friend and I had an amazing stay at this hotel, which is a beautiful oasis in the city. We booked our stay very last minute due to unforeseen circumstances, and Ivan helped to ensure that we could get into a great room quickly. He also supported us with navigating an unfortunate event that happened outside of the hotel and offered us great recommendations for places around the city. Ivan is one of the kindest and most supportive staff members we have ever encountered! In fact, all of the staff at the hotel are helpful and thoughtful. We particularly loved listening to the beautiful music played at breakfast, relaxing at the pool and taking in the beautiful decor. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Mérida!
I stayed at the Mansion recently for a week with my lovely wife Helen. We had an excellent time. The service was some of the best service we have received in a hotel. They let us check in early for no extra charge. They let us check out late for no extra charge. Our room was fantastic and had strong AC, WiFi. There is also a mini bar and cable TV with many English language channels. We really enjoyed the breakfast each day which was included in the price. The swimming pool is a great way to cool off and it was uncrowded and they will serve you drinks there. The owner named Raul checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything. I will post a photo of my wife and myself with him in the middle. To summarize, Five stars in every way!
The food, the service, the ambiance, the amenities... WOW! Cannot overstate how spectacular our stay was. We had many daily excursions planned but enjoyed the hotel and its wonderful staff so much that we cancelled all of our day trips. We stayed in the Imperial Suite and opted for their "Romantic Dinner" on our last night. Absolutely incredible!!! The "Romantic Dinner" was simply superb and something we will remember for the rest of our lives... the ultimate in service and 5 star dining. The suite was better than we had imagined with its 5 balconies overlooking the park and its towering ceilings. A true journey back in time but with all the amenities of the 21st century. Raul, the owner, and his wonderful staff made certain to attend to every detail of our stay. We've stayed in many top-rated hotels in the U.S., Europe and Asia and NONE provided a more positive and memorable experience. If you're visiting Merida this is the place to stay. In fact, Mansion Merida alone is worth the trip to this beautiful city.…
This hotel is everything you wish it was, amazing location, authentic in every corner, the service is exceptional, all the staff is friendly and quick to response to all your needs, whatever you need, they can do it for you. We left feeling like royalty, we loved this hotel and the owner, and hope to return the soonest. Thank you.
