By far the worst place we have ever experienced! And we've been to many countries and stayed at many places. We stayed 5 nights in Riviera Maya and decided to extend our trip and drive to Merida for a few days. We stayed at haciendas before but we decided to try Santa Cruz. We only booked this place for the Master Suite. We have 2 small children and the room was what we needed for our family. We reserved the room online through their website, only to drive all the way there for 4 hours to be told that the room is not available. First off, when we arrived there, there was nobody there to greet the guests. When the host finally showed up, he was very impressed that we were even there. After being told that the master suite is not available, we had no choice but settle for the rooms they had to offer because it was late and everything else around was sold out. When we got to our rooms, we realized that there were 2 separate rooms in one building, which meant that my husband and I had to split up and stay with one child in each room due to safety. One of the rooms had a strong cigarette smell and was very dirty. There were black stains on the bedding and hair in the sink in shower. There was no common area where the entire family could spend time together. If that wasn't enough, they had a wedding that night right outside our windows and the entire place was booming until 3am! We have nothing against wedding, but the hotel should have give us a courtesy call when we booked, to let us know that the night will be loud. Lastly, we booked an excursion the following day, and we asked the host to set us up with a driver for 9.30am which he said he did. In the morning I sent a message on whatsapp to front desk with no answer for 40 minutes. I called front desk and the girl there had no clue about the car. Eventually, they figured out that the transportation can't be there until 11am, after our excursion! At that point, we had to cancel the excursion, packed our suitcases and went to front desk and told them that we are out of there. We checked out after only one night, we got in Ubers and went to Chable. Awful, awful experience.

My husband and I stayed two nights at this beautiful hacienda. We appreciated the friendly and courteous service we received from Ricardo at reception. Our room was tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The food served at the restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent. The well-maintained grounds are stunning with tropical plants, many walking or biking paths (bikes are supplied for free), two heated pools and a man-made cenote. But it's during the evening that it becomes magical with beautiful lighting throughout the property. If you are looking for a romantic get-away for a special occasion or just because, check out Hacienda Santa Cruz.

Very disappointed with the lack of quality and very high prices for the food. Really beautiful place but the food is just below average. Pork was dry, servings tiny and prices very high. Love the atmosphere but won’t go back to eat.

If you want to relax and enjoy nice food and atmosphere, this is a place for you! We loved it, very clean and a beautiful lagoon to chill out at with the nice weather of Mexico. Especially the breakfast is outstanding, fresh juices and special omelettes with good coffee.

We had a nice stay overall but few things bothered us like the noise of the employees talking in the morning( could point is that they wake me up everyday !), service at the table not so professional , very slow ( too much of laughing in the big kitchen, we could see and hear it ). Then the constant tipping.... we are not americans, not used to tip for a normal service, that is annoying at you have to deal with that every meal ...We do not tip like that in Europe... Spa is not run by the hotel and really expensive. Nothing to compare with a normal spa .. Overall the stay was ok ...

We visited Hacienda Santa Cruz to attend a local arts and crafts show. They have a huge pavilion which is perfect for such events, including weddings. The gardens are beautiful. After the show, we walked through the gardens and had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant, Valentina, there. The food had a variety of delicious flavors and the service was impeccable. There is a spa on the property and at least two pools. All the staff are welcoming and friendly! We hope to go back again and stay overnight in one of the casitas! A perfect day!

This hacienda is lovely and atmospheric and wonderfully restored. It is just a short drive outside of Merida. The location is perfect for exploring Merida during the day, then escaping into the past, a very luxurious version of the past, for the evening. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is great.

An Extraordinary Local Sopress! I have to say, I never imagined finding a place like this in this area of the city with the edges of it, separated from everything, interned in nothingness, with the air and atmosphere of the true Yucatec people! With its very warmth in the treatment of its staff that is originally from the small town that houses it (Santa Cruz Palomeque). I had the opportunity to experience a gourmet dinner of sustainable and organic character from the hands of its chef Pedro Celestino, a menu based on the Yucatecan culinary tradition, with elements of Indigenous, Traditional Mexican Cuisine with a Vanguardia technical execution. In the gardens while the sun was falling, a group of at least 15 pax were delighted with a 6-course Banquet with Mexican wine pairing Boutique! Definitely a must for at least a good massage at your Spa and an Invaluable Gastronomic experience! Ask for the day pass, although I would stay to lose myself within its walls of more than 400 years [1640] at least 1 night!
