Detailed Reviews

The hotel is new and clean with many convenient amenities. It’s an easy walk to any sites and restaurants (Merida has so many good restaurants!). My husband and I stayed in the junior suite for four nights. The bed was very comfortable. We even had a spacious patio area overlooking the garden. As a light sleeper, I didn’t hear any traffic noise or other guests. The walls were thick enough that we never heard a peep from the guests in the room next to us. The staff was very nice and helpful. Gino, the owner, always had a bright smile on his face and offered us tea/coffee.

We decided on Acqua in Bocca after searching on line for a hotel 1) within walking distance of places we wanted to see and 2) with plenty of fresh air and a small number of rooms to limit contact with large groups. This place fulfilled and exceeded our expectations.
The hotel entrance and long, narrow lobby are unassuming, but lead to expansive interior gardens and a gorgeous pool, which is illuminated in changing colours at night. Our room was very large and well-appointed, with good quality linens, good internet connection, and plenty of room for everything.
We never needed to take a taxi to tour Merida, because the hotel was an easy walk to both the main plazas and the Paseo Montejo and other destinations.
The entire facility was extremely tasteful, clean, and well-maintained. We stayed for an extended visit and would have happily continued for an even longer time . The owner was extremely attentive, helpful and generous, and the staff are pleasant and thorough.
One caveat - People with mobility issues may want to check for a ground floor rooom, as there is no elevator.

Everything was perfect. We stayed three days and tried two different rooms. The double room is already very nice but the suite is absolutely magnificent. All rooms have exceptional beds, are very well equipped and decorated, connected televisions, absolutely nothing is missing. The staff is very friendly. the hotel is right in the center. The best restaurants and bars are everywhere. and my dog accepted the little extra with great pleasure. I would return without hesitation.

Quiet, comfortable, attractive hotel in an excellent area. Several of the rooms have private patios. Gino and all his staff were extremely accommodating when we fell ill and allowed us to extend our stay. They brought us endless cups of tea and ensured we were comfortable. Truly excellent service!

The decoration of the hotel is beautiful, everything is new and clean. The bed is very comfortable, and the big screen, the staff very helpful. Entering the room required climbing stairs which is uncomfortable if you bring a lot of luggage. The room was a little smaller than I expected although the bathroom was quite large. It is well located, there are clothing and souvenir shops nearby, a food market almost opposite and a restaurant one block away, access was obstructed by repaving works that will take maybe another month.

The hotel is a gem!!!! How wonderful to have found such a beautiful place!! I always want to stay here when I come to Mérida!! Furthermore, the owner of the hotel (a French man) is the kindest person, he was always looking out for us and brought us coffee in the morning :)

Fantastic Centro location within easy walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and historical sites. Rooms are clean and very comfortable, Gino and his staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The complimentary cold water, tea, coffee, and cappuccino were awesome. We often began our days enjoying these while sitting in the lobby.
