Set in the heart of old Merida this is an oasis of calm. The house from outside is neat ,understated and could be walked passed without comment. Once inside you enter a lovely garden area rather like a Moroccan riad in style . A small pool surrounded by chairs, lounges and hammocks . The attention to detail is remarkable, from...

It's like walking into paradise. The cool courtyard is charming and beautifully furnished, the pool is big enough to cool you down and amazingly pretty, the hammocks are the perfect place to chill while working out where to go next. And the staff are brilliant - friendly and full of local know-how. Our room (Lucia) - up a flight of...

We had a wonderful four day stay here. Everything was outstanding: the location, the ambience, the decor, the breakfast, and especially the staff. The courtyard was breathtaking. The pool was small, but because it was relatively deep at one end we were able to get a nice, refreshing swim. True luxury. We can't wait to come back.

To my taste the best hotel in Mérida. The Italian villa ambient makes it unique. Great service, my only complaint is that they don't have food service. But they have a great restaurant across the street (Oliva).

I can only whole heartedly agree with the other reviews. This is a gem of a place, beautiful , relaxing and very classy. We had a very nice room on the second floor with a balcony and a nice view over the roofs of Merida. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was just too bad that we only...

We had a delightful stay at Casa Lecanda. The courtyard is serene and private, reminiscent of the courtyards found in Italy - a private getaway inside the walls of the hotel to relax, swing in a hammock or read a book. The staff are all very friendly and who want you to have an exceptional stay. Would definitely recommend to...

Casa Lecanda was outstanding. A beautifully restored home it is an easy walk to restaurants and areas of interest in Merida. The rooms have high ceilings, original woodwork and tile, dark- wood furniture, mexican tiled bathrooms and soft lighting in keeping with historical authenticity. Our Mayan package was excellent and our guide outstanding. Each day we returned from our excursions...

The hotel is on a busy road but as soon as you step through the front door you enter a different world - tranquil, luxurious and staff that are one step ahead of you. Casa Lecanda has been beautifully renovated, it is a small boutique hotel with just a few rooms. The rooms have tall ceilings; wooden shutters; mahogany furniture;...

Beautiful colonial style building, elegant decorations and furnishings, lovely well equipped rooms, shaded courtyard. Charming helpful staff . Great location, less than 10 mins walk from the centre. Close to local square where there are free open air concerts and folk dancing for the locals.

We enjoyed our stayed in this beautifully designed B&B. It is very peaceful and quiet despite being right by a busy street. The location is perfect and walking distance for exploring the sites and restaurants of Merida. The room rate includes continental breakfast, cooked breakfast comes unfortunately at an additional fee. Our room was beautiful with 4-5 metre high ceilings....
