Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious--we loved everything we ordered and opted to have dinner at the hotel more nights than we planned, because it was so good. The location is within walking distance to most everything we were interested in exploring within the city, and it is a hip, up and coming neighborhood. We always felt very safe. We looked forward to our wonderful conversations with Nelson throughout our stay. He is the perfect host-interesting, informative, and friendly.

This hotel is one of the nicest i have ever stayed in, not because of the facilities but because of the people. The owner is wonderfully down to earth, he took to calling me "New york" and always stopped to have a conversation at breakfast, our breakfast waiter was lovely and the reception staff superb. The pictures on the website are very realistic, rooms are basic but the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room, they are clean and kept that way the whole time we were there. A couple of things to note, this is a tiny hotel so you will get a very personal experience, we felt very safe and secure and don't be put off by having to ring the door bell the first time you arrive this just adds to the charm. Just a couple of notes for the hotel we appreciate how safe and secure the hotel is BUT we would definitely recommend safes in each room, i would also recommend explaining the hotel pool is tiny and really just a plunge pool, there are no sunbeds and i certainly didn't feel comfortable swimming in it as there were people having dinner very close by. Apart from this it is definitely worth staying at!!!

Spent 4 nights at Medio Mundo. A small hotel, not at all like a big chain hotel. The rooms are charming and comfortable. The bath rooms too are a good size. I think it feels like old time Mexico. The interior courtyards are lovely. The staff was great, very attentive and helpful. I am not a vegan but the vegan breakfasts I found quite good and enjoyable. I was coming from a cold northern clime so being able to sit outside to enjoy morning coffee was wonderful. I found Merida a wonderful and interesting city. Highly recommend the city and Medio Mundo.

Upon entering Hotel Medio Mundo, you are promptly greeted, your bags are carried and you are provided with incredible service from the get go. Nestled in Merida Centro, everything you need is all around you and you can access many amazing restaurants, bars, museums and so much more all within walking distance from this Hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the patio is beautiful and the entire hotel feels like a little oasis. The staff were extremely accommodating with our travel and check out times, allowing us to stay in the patio area after we checked out and watching our bags until our flight. The complementary breakfast was to die for and I cannot recommend their restaurant enough. All in all this was the perfect place to end our trip and I will definitely be coming back.

In our eyes a 5 star. Just what we were looking for. A cool tranquil oasis in the middle of bustling Mérida Centro. Everything you need and more! The Wifi is great, the beds perfect the food to die for and the ambiance and people are perfect. The pool is a refreshing beautiful spot after exploring Merida’s city Center. I would recommend this hotel easily. Nelson and his staff are friendly accommodating and provide excellent service. A note of appreciation to Nelson’s wife for her amazing hummus and babaganoush ❤️
