Security guard wouldn't let me take a picture of the area. Not sure what they have to hide - I wasn't even near the hotel, I was on Montejo near a parking lot. I was very polite asking a bit of history about the place, something to make conversation and was told to put my camera away and vacate the...

The hotel is quite tired looking. We arrived around late afternoon and when went to the room it had not been prepared. To get to the room was a bit like a rabbit warren. It is a reasonable walk into town but pleasant nonetheless. Taxis are very reasonable anyway.

So as far as high end hotels goes it's not a five star. Nothing that jumps out at you but the fine details are not there. Tubs and sinks have dated hardware, sloppy sealant around tub etc. Overall a really nice hotel and maybe it used to be a 5 star.... maybe working on a 5 star.. but not a...

Pros: Good location on a main street; friendly staff; Cons: The room floor and the toilet weren't clean; there are only two (very suspicious) towels - there aren't even hand towels!; there is no mini bar;

Having completed a tour, this hotel was the final night before leaving for Cancun. Although the hotel is quite ok, it appears to be too far for a tourist to enjoy the ambience of Merida. To walk even a half hour is a long way in hot conditions and then not know if you are in the right area whether...

The staff was incredibly friendly, on the few occasions I needed to talk to them about something they were very quick to resolve the issues. The room service served traditional Yucatecan food and was very good, although a few times it was delivered cold.

We stayed here for two nights in a room overlooking the famed Avenue. The room suited us very well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view from the top floor where the pool is located is awesome. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast seems a tad too expensive.

We were not impressed by this hotel. The room we had on the 6th floor had a view over the parking lot, and was quite small. Even smaller was the balcony. Some of the staff were nice, some looked like they'd rather be anywhere else but there. Bartenders that tended to us didn't speak any English so it was difficult...

Stayed for 2 nights, 15th and 16th July as part of a tour of Yucatan. We really liked this hotel. It's well placed, a 20 minute walk to the main town square. The rooms were very comfortable and well-equipped. The pool is on the roof and we enjoyed having lunch up there on our second day. Restaurant is good, we...

Very nice hotel on the Paseo de Montejo. The staff are polite and helpful. Nice beds and pillows. Shower was hot and plenty of pressure. Breakfast was great. We stayed here for six nights and lived every minute.Great food surrounds this hotel. Walking distance to shops and cafes. Bus stop on the corner and an oxxo just down the way.
