The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive. They came up to the room to check in with us shortly after we checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Central location, very walkable. Several restaurants in the hotel, many in the surrounding area and mall. Parking in the garage was free - you just have to validate your ticket at the front desk.
We loved the hotel and rooms were clean and spacious. It is close to the tourist attractions One could walk to them. The food at the club level was all meat. We are vegetarian/ vegan and even their salads had meaty in them Regular tea wasn’t available. But they were very responsive when I gave them feedback and the next day I had more options for breakfast and snack. The concierge was polite and helpful. The town of Merida is quaint and charming Overall a very good experience
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Merida, Mexico and the Fiesta Americana is located in central area of city, so could walk to certain places or always had cab readily available. I was there for 4 days and staff was super friendly even tho I don't know any Spanish, luckily my daughter is fluent so that made it easier, I recommend if traveling to the area for buisness or pleasure..
What a fantastic hotel centrally located close to restaurants, plus only a 5 min walk to Walmart and Starbucks. Big beautiful foyer with an awesome Mexican restaurant for lunch or dinner. The only concern was that the pool faces the sun all day and with ZERO shade options, it was impossible to hide from the hot sun, even in the pool. BUY SOME UMBRELLAS!!!
Best hotel in merida Friendly staff great manager Spectacular hotel close to everything heart of downtown Great beds, beautiful rooms and view Very peaceful ambiance great place to relax and enjoy the mall lower floor Everything you need at your fingertips Enjoy your stay I know I will be there soon to enjoy another vacation at my favorite hotel We’ve been staying there for years and still enjoying it.
Beautiful Readers: Consider please that I just stayed one night; I arrived late at 6:00 p.m. to check in, and get ready to sleep a little bit and then get dinner outside at downtown... then I returned to sleep and next day get breakfast and say good bye from this hotel which I was a repetitive guest (2nd time). +5 Your lobby was Scented and was the best. The balcony you can admire when the sun goes down with an amazing sunset. Luxury toiletries were excellent, and what to say about the Bed at room 351 and 5 with comfortable mattresses. Fiesta Club breakfast service was good. Variety at its good. KRYSTAL at the reception she was amazing. FRANCISCO from bellman he was full of charm and kindness. PAMELA from telephone operator always speaking trough the phone with a smile (i could hear it!) These 3 were the only who had a genuine guest service attitude! ;) -1 I had no personalized treat at the check in process, I got dinner outside the hotel since the waiters at Los Almendros did not offered me their restaurant to catch me and dinner inside the hotel. I did not use their spa due the lack of interest from the receptionist at spa with me to book an aromatherapy reflexology massage. :( -1 The air conditioning vents with mold in poor condition. The water from the toilet and rainshower with a bronze colour (according to reception there was a problem and the hotel ran out of electricity) which I understand that the hotel cannot prevent such electricity anomalies. After the experience I had, I was upgraded to a suite on the executive floor with access to breakfast at the Fiesta Club, and there was no call back about how I was or my stay at least, probabbly I expected the same level of energy from the first time I visited the hotel. My travel expectation was 5 stars, I know that I am a demanding traveler who is always looking for a pleasant stay. For last I must type Thank you to Federico Rubido who emailed me by Booking dot com who offered his genuine apologies. I might come back.…
Hi, Avoid the pool facing rooms, there’s a very noisy compressor. The hotel is ok, a bit old. Staff is mostly nice. After 5 days we‘re still waiting for a refund of our 200$ déposit. I have been calling the hotel twice and been put on hold as many times… very unprofessional, I sent a claim to my bank…
We left hotel today and won’t be back ever again. It was dirty, dusty, absolutely miserable what they are doing to save on single peso. We slept on improvised mattress!!! Instead of a mattress pad they’ve put two feather duvets attached with something improvised to hold on to the whole “ bed structure”. We lost any sleep wondering why we have to struggle to change position. Photos attached: mattress ” structure”, cracks in the walls, how much they charge for coffee $ 😹, how much for the bottled water if you wish coffee and today’s price list for this “luxury”. From $7,000 mxp to $27,000 mxp. Oh well, they forgot I was there to celebrate my birthday, they lied to us about room orientation but they are SORRY!!!! I’ve booked two months in advance, but they’re responses are just oblivious. They don’t even ask guests to wear masks, no one cares. Large groups of people screaming yelling no masks anywhere including tiny elevators. Do the research how many’s times General Manager had to apologize here rather then to do something. Showering guests with apologies while charging us like it’s a real hotel. Please review attached photos. P.S. pool tiles are falling apart covered in black mold.…
Loud music playing until 4am on a tuesday staff did nothing had to leave at 5 to catch a flight. The hotel was clean and rooms were good. The staff was ok. Good location but not a good idea to put people on a side where there are bars open all night.
The service was terrible, toilet didn’t work at all, shampoo containers as well, the phone device wasn’t working either. Everything seemed old and with lack of service. Spoke with the manager and did little to make service better.
