I loved this place! Everyone was incredibly lovely and the breakfasts were delicious. My room was cozy and comfortable with the bonus of the spa bath--definitely worth the splurge. I'd definitely stay here again next time I pass through Merida.

The hotel was clean, colorful, tastefully organized and decorated. Small pool was great for cooling off in the evening. Rita at the front desk was super helpful and informative. Very nice breakfast included with several options, including some kid friendly ones. A bit removed from downtown in a quiet neighborhood so it’s a bit of a walk (15 mins) to the main downtown area. On street (not reserved) parking, but generally available.

We stayed 5 days at this hotel. Super staff, friendly, knowlegeable and capable. Great food with a limited menu that the kitchen will adjust. Clean pleasant rooms. Lovely setup. Jan and Rita are the owners in a hands on way and are both lovely people. Wine selection is mostly serviceable Mexican wines, which we enjoyed. Bright and airy. Couldn't ask for more in the old city of Merida.

I will NEVER patronize this place again! My son and I stayed there overnight while emergency electrical work was being done on our Airbnb. We enjoyed the place and was even planning on paying to have our family come stay there during their visit next month that is until.... The guy that manages the place shows up at my Airbnb door unannounced scaring the crap out of me and accusing my son and I of stealing a glass WATER BOTTLE! I have never been so insulted. We paid for EVERYTHING we consumed. I also tipped the service staff. We travel all over the world for work! We are not those type of people! We did not touch a single drop of water that was in the room because I literally walk around with a hydroflask full of water as I prefer to consume it cold. He then said “well maybe your son took it” My 12 year old son couldn’t care less about a glass water bottle! He said well I have my cleaning lady on camera putting 2 bottles in your room and now there’s only one. I said well, I’d definitely like to go back and see that video. ( he refused) When I asked him to call the authorities, he had nothing to say and called me “emotional” I feel that this was probably racially motivated and we were stereotyped. I plan to take this further and warn others about how we were treated. It’s a shame that such a beautiful place would operate like this. I’ve never felt so insulted.
