A truly perfect three night stay, in every way. Signposts on the street made the hotel easy to find. We were greeted graciously on our arrival and given helpful tips about the hotel and environs. Our second floor suite was spacious and scrupulously clean, as was the entire hotel, including the delightful pool. Our hosts and all the staff were... More

We were there last year for our honeymoon. This place is a marvel owned by a very friendly couple : Rita and Jan. Every detail is beautiful, wherever your eyes land. There are hammocks in the rooms, happy hours and a chef (!!!) Rita and Jan were always eager to share there Merida tips with us and because we loved... More

This was a very friendly place, where both English and Spanish is spoken. The beds are comfortable, there is both ceiling fan and air conditioning, and there is cable TV. The rooms have good space, the bathroom is quite roomy, and the showers have an overhead spigot, spacious, and the water hot. The complementary soap has a honey base to... More

After staying at some pretty basic places in Mexico, Merida Santiago hotel was a breath of fresh air. Hidden behind closed doors on a quiet street right in the middle of Merida was a beautiful hotel with friendly staff, five star room and wonderful food. The owner was great, he sat down and gave us a full run down of... More

This fantastic little hotel is a real oasis and the owners, Rita and Jan, could not do more to make you feel welcome and to help you to get the most out of your time in Merida. The hotel was very clean and bright, and our room and en suite were large. There are only six rooms, and Rita and... More

Rita and Jan have created an amazingly warm and inviting setting for their guests. Happy Hour next to the pool every day, provided a great opportunity to meet and chat with other guests... and we even enjoyed some of the best food in Merida at their Restaurant. Breakfasts were always tasty and freshly prepared, not to mention great service with... More

Merida is "hot" in May. The Hotel Merida Santiago was the perfect place to stay. Great AC and a refreshing pool to cool off in. We initially booked two nights but we enjoyed the place so much we stayed one more. The owners Rita and Jan were the perfect host. Very informative about the area...where to dine..sight see...etc. they also... More

The title of this review says it all. Rita and Jan are incredibly warm and so helpful. The B&B is a wonderful place. We loved it. Lovely rooms (with hammocks!!!), a small (but more than adequate) dip pool, kind and helpful staff, and a fun happy hour.

Jan and Rita had a vision and they realized it many times over. The rooms....superb. The amenities....without parallel. The hosts ..... simply the generous warmth of a Yucateca wife and savvy of a Dutch husband. I have stayed there perhaps 6 times.... my searches were over after my first stay at Santiago.
