Casa Dos Lirios is a boutique Bed & Breakfast located in the Santiago neighbourhood of Merida, within easy walking distance of many of the city's historic, cultural and culinary attractions. Our home is a beautifully restored "casona", built in the early 1900s, in a quiet, residential area. Our 5 comfortable guest rooms are situated in our mature garden at the back of our property, and separate from the main house. There you will also find our refreshing pool, and cosy sitting areas; perfect for relaxing after a day spent exploring Merida and the Yucatan. Our guest rooms are comfortably furnished with locally handcrafted beds, tables and armoires. We offer plush pillow top mattresses, high thread count linens, and hypoallergenic pillows for a restful night's sleep. Each private, en-suite bathroom is stocked with soft towels and organic amenities made in the Yucatan. A complementary gourmet breakfast is offered each morning, along with full coffee and tea service.

This was our first B&B experience and it set the bar very high. The property is beautiful and very well taken care of. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was to die for and every morning was different, extremely good way to wake up. Sue and Steve were very gracious host and were not hesitant to help give advise on what to see, what to do and where to go in Merida. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore Merida.

Casa Dos Lirios is one of the most beautiful and quiet bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed in anywhere in the world. After a busy day exploring the Yucatan, it truly feels like coming home when you return to your "casa". Sue and Steve are friendly and knowledgable hosts who always make you feel welcome. Every morning we began our day with fresh coffee outside our door in the walled garden. Next, we were presented by a tasty and innovative breakfast prepared by Sue with fresh ingredients. While the lodging itself is a bargain, when you factor in the quality of the breakfast, this restful sanctuary is a great value, by any standard. Its location is a convenient walk to the heart of Merida. Furthermore, ventures to other neighborhoods are made easier by very inexpensive Uber rides. Your hosts also can recommend fantastic restaurants. Sue and Steve introduced us to their friend Polo, who provides fascinating and inexpensive excursions tailored to your own interest and needs. Real travel means connecting and exchanging ideas with local people. Our conversations and experiences shared with Polo in Mayan ruins, haciendas, cenotes and in smaller colonial towns thoroughly enriched our visit. Polo is much more than a vehicle driver, he is a driver of passion and understanding. Ask Sue and Steve to connect you with him. We love the varied regions of Mexico, but Sue, Steve and Polo will bring us back to charming and safe Merida.

I don't have enough good things to say about Casa Dos Lirios! Sue and Steve were perfect hosts, the location is quiet but an easy walk to everything, and the rooms were tranquil and very comfortable. During our three night stay our breakfast was different and delicious every morning and the courtyard and pool were perfect for cooling off when the afternoons got hot. We felt pampered and relaxed the whole time- our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

My week at Casa Dos Lirios was truly wonderful! Owners, Sue and Steve, made me feel comfortable and welcomed at every opportunity. Their property and gardens are lovely, private and relaxing; the pool a welcomed treat at the end of a busy day. Breakfast each morning was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Sue's Triple Berry Baked Oatmeal is worth the trip alone! Merida offers travellers an abundance of unique sites to see and experiences to be enjoyed. Without hesitation I highly recommend Casa Dos Lirios and Merida as a destination that must be visited.

We just recently came back from Merida, Mexico where we stayed at Casa Dos Lirios Bed & Breakfast hosted by owners Steve and Sue Blair. Where do I begin? The courtyard outside of our room was outstanding and the pool and sitting area where we had coffee and breakfast was fantastic. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Sue even had ketchup for my French toast! The shops, markets and restaurants were a fifteen to twenty minute walk away. Sue and Steve's knowledge of the city and sites was very informative. A special thank you to Polo for being such a good tour guide. What can I say about Steve and Sue? Both of you were amazing. I would recommend Casa Dos Lirios to everyone coming to Merida. Thank you so much and hope to see you again. Larry and Sue
