We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bucaneros! The ground floor room was perfect for my special needs I have mobility issues due to a stroke! The room was very accommodating, very clean and comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful! They have very good service and recommendations for activities! I highly recommend this hotel I’ve stayed twice they exceeded expectations! I will return!
Thought the hotel was very good for the price. Air conditioning and showers worked well and location was great. Room is small with no where to really put suitcases, which was expected after seeing reviews. Only issue was our bed frame was kind of broke so kept banging into wall every time we moved. Few minute walk to beach and right downstairs from all shops and restaurants. Obviously will not have all the extras of more expensive hotels, but for price definitely was worth it
The hotel is quite affordable. Its only three blocks away from the most beautiful beach in Isla Mujeres. It includes breakfast which although does not have a variety of option, it is fresh and it's ok. The only problem is that the hotel does not have an elevator. So, if your room is on the 3rd floor, you'll need to carry your luggage all way up.
This hotel is in a brilliant location to everything. The staff were lovely and helpful especially taking our suitcases up and down the stairs. Our rooms were cleaned every day and was equipped with a fridge and air con. However the room was a lot smaller than the pictures and it was a tight squeeze for me and my partner (and we are both about 5 foot so pretty small ourselves). Other than that it was a great stay.
The best thing about this hotel is its great location right in the centre of town with easy access to lots of bars and restaurants, and a short walk from the ferry and playas norte and central. Inevitably, there is some noise. We were there at carnival, so it went on until the early hours, but normally it should be quieter by about 11pm. Our room was a huge disappointment, not what we had expected or as in the photos. It was small, with a noisy fan, but very good air con. The bed was squeezed between the wall and a large pillar, necessitating some acrobatics for getting in and out of bed. The fridge was not working, but that was fixed, and Wifi was quite poor. At least there was a wardrobe for hanging some of our clothes. The bathroom was quite small - more acrobatics, but towels and basic toiletries were replaced regularly. And everything was kept nice and clean. Breakfast was quite basic, juice, tea or coffee, toast, some cakes, and a freshly prepared fruit plate, the saving grace of this meal. The breakfast ladies were very nice once they got to know you. Reception staff varied from very nice and helpful to disinterested. This hotel needs updating, certainly the room we were in. If you want a comfortable stay you have to go for their suites which, I think, are not only larger but also furnished better.…
