The Mia Reef has a pretty setting, on a tiny island off the coast of Isla Mujeres, with warm turquoise water and lots of colorful fish. The rest of the hotel was totally underwhelming. Rooms were dated and fairly basic, the beach area itself was small and crowded, the luncheon and dinner buffets were literally inedible, and I didn’t appreciate being constantly hit up to attend time-shared presentations, especially as this was not a hotel I would ever want to return to. In addition, there was a screwup with my ride back to the airport, which simply never arrived, though I was charged for the trip. In short, this hotel screams low-rise mediocrity; I advise staying elsewhere in this pretty part of the world.

Excellent service and beautiful setting. Restaurant staff were super accommodating and friendly. The beach was gorgeous and I recommend reaching out to Rich from the concierge team, Yuri, Kevin, Nancy and Isabel. The team made our stay extremely enjoyable!

We had a great time at the MIA Hotel visiting with 2 little children. There is a private beach with small waves and sand that little kids can play in and build sandcastles. Food and service was excellent! I'm especially grateful to Reyes Ruiz for making me a fresh espresso every morning.

The Mia Reef was exceptional, great snorkeling, great service and very quiet. The food was really good and borrow a bike and take a ride and explore the island it's so worth it! We really enjoyed the staff they went above and beyond.

Fabulous location, beautiful beaches, decent food, idyllic water color. Great location for the kids. Overall the staff was friendly & helpful with a couple of exceptions. Our wedding coordinator Aimee was amazing!! Perfect ceremony!!

Andrea was great at check in. Very friendly and quick service. Kevin was also incredibly friendly and Yury was able to give us a room upgrade. We were instantly greeted with cold water upon check in. Absolutely beautiful location. Beach is amazing. My kids loved swimming with the fish in the crystal clear water.

Warm welcoming since we arrived ! Amazing staff by Yuri, Isabel and Rich. The hotel 5 stars and the beach one of the best in the world! Food and drinks amazing with amazing amenities and the sunset and sunrise speechless! I really recommend this hotel for kids, couples from around the world
