Miguel is amazing!! Really showed us a great time and always kept us entertained!! We had so much fun with Miguel and everyone at Mia, he always made sure we were having fun! Hope to see him again next time we travel back to Mia!!
Our stay at Mia Reef was like never before. It’s an all inclusive resort and they make sure to go an extra mile to see you happy. Staff are exceptional too. Alberto attended us at Restaurant Sarimar and he is such a humble guy who takes care of you with sick gentle pure smile on his face. He also suggested us some cocktails to try which were really good. Staff who were in the kitchen are so helpful too. We truly loved our stay and will definitely come back with more people this time. Ohh, we also got a free upgrade to Honeymoon suite. Cannot ask for more.
Great retreat from the Northern "spring", with Isla Mujere's fresh winds, warmth and sunshine in abundance. Great swimming; fabulous bird observation, with a very responsible hotel management protecting the large bridled tern (Charron embrigado) population on the Caribbean sea side in its May-August residence. Wonderful staff in all areas, and great food. Music and activities in abundance. Beach-front cevicheria provides outstanding seafood in very fresh and safe forms. Roberto ensures everyone a warm welcome and excellent service.
We have been coming here for 20 years. Originally we had it as an Avalon timeshare that went broke and was taken over by MIA some years ago. This was our first visit since Covid. MIA has done some nice upgrades in recent years, but it is now a mandatory not so good all inclusive. The dinners in the two restaurants are really good, perhaps 41/2 Star. One is a grill that had probably the best Argentina sausage and Caesar salad I’ve ever had. The other is a Mexican restaurant that is also very good. Unfortunately, the breakfast and lunch buffets are mediocre at best. Some of the buffet food was not worth the calories, although some was good. The pastry was mostly not good. Either was the coffee at breakfast or lunch, although the dinner coffee was excellent. The resort has an exceptional location. Great beach. Super staff. Very romantic. The rooms are very nice. Great balconies. Fabulous views. Adequate furniture. Too bad about the buffet food. Since all inclusive is mandatory, we surrendered our “timeshare” membership and won’t be back, even though the deal offered to continue as a MIA Club member was fair.…
Angel Baltista went above and beyond to make sure my birthday dinner was the best! He made me such a great surf and turf, the most delicious pistachio soup and desert. Beyond happy. Thank you, Angel!!
Elena is the sweetest, most communicative concierge I have ever met. Thanks to her me and my boyfriend had a photoshoot to represent the Mia Reef hotel. It was an amazing experience, all thanks to Elena. She upraged our rooms and made us feel like superstars!

A++++ food excellent, service excellent, container service excellent. They took very good care of us from the very beginning. They welcome you, genuinely are friendly and not pushy when trying to sell anything. There was so much food, so fresh, authentic of all kinds. We never had to wait for a table, for a chair, for a beach area, for anything. Everything was readily available, clean, well equipped, excellent service all together. Big shout out to Gabo from the entertainment team who was beyond friendly and enthusiastic. We enjoyed his entertainment and friendship. We will go back for sure. Off note; I travel with my husband and my dove month old Which was an excellent place because they had all the accommodations need it for my baby.
While yes the hotel location is beautiful I can only advice you to be VERY careful. I had my wallet stolen at one of the private sunbeds. This was on a very quiet day and happened during the (only) 20 minutes we left our private sunbed for lunch just 50 feet further. When we came back my wallet who was VERY wel hidden in my bacpack was gone (I always put some stuff on top of my backpack when I leave). We notified the hotel of this and they did little to nothing, they said they would take a look at the cameras the next day. Note that there was a camera pointing DIRECTLY at our sunbed and we also knew the exact timeframe when it happened. We got a lawyer involved to obtain footage to the camera, and all of a sudden 3 days later I get a call my wallet was ‘found’ (someone brought it at the front gate bridge according to them). Knowing there is a camera pointing DIRECTLY at our sunbed as well as the help they refused to provide and not wanted to get the police involved we can only assume this was 100% an inside job (no one can enter the hotel premises as a non-guest). This ruined all of our holidays as we had to get lawyers and the embassy involved! My only advice is to stay far away from this hotel, they are total CROOKS!…
