Hotel's Favorite
The hotel facilities exceeded my expectations. Every area, from the beach zones to the pools and rooftop, was incredibly beautiful. I can tell that attention to detail was given in every corner of the hotel. Upon arrival, we were assigned a personal butler, making our stay comfortable from start to finish. Not only that, but every single staff member was exceptionally friendly. The programs offered by the hotel were also diverse and well-organized. This is, without a doubt, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

As soon as you get on the catamaran over to Isla Mujeres you feel like it's another world. The room was spot on, we just had to ask our butler to kindly get some of the automatic lights switched off so they didn't keep coming on at night. The decor of natural tones gives an elegant but relaxing vibe. The size of the hotel is just right, any bigger and the personal touch would be lost.
For me the decking area around the sea was the perfect area for relaxation and there were plenty of sea related activities such as snorkelling and paddle boarding on offer.
The food at the various different restaurants was delicious, I highly recommend the fish tacos!
But it's the staff that make it even more special, everyone was so friendly and up for a chat. However, special mentions have to go to Leo, who is part of the events team, and made us feel very much at home, always so charming and thoughtful and we loved the bike tour. Next, Jose who kept the drinks flowing, he brings amazing energy and I cant imagine how many steps he does a day! Also shout outs to Ale and Eric in La Vista who were so friendly and accommodating. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Overall we had an amazing time!
PROS: The service is top notch. Everyone there was so kind and accommodating. There was great attention to detail and high level of cleanliness. Food is generally really good too. Beds are comfortable. Quiet, luxurious property overall with some nice activity options. The servers all hustle and work overboard to make you feel accommodated. Some folks that really helped make the experience great - Elio, Omar, Eduardo, Juan, Elias, Erik, Luis, Jonathan, Abraham, Fernando, Amriani, Erika, Andres, Juan, Mose. Thank you to you guys and everyone else there! Finally, the beach area and pool area are both really nice. Plenty of space so you aren't fighting for a place to sit. The beach area is protected too so it helps mitigate any potential seaweed issues.
Cons: The main hiccup we had was that we had to move rooms a few times due to maintenance issues (AC and door issue). Also, the check in process was rough. It took 2 hours from the time we arrived at the marina and the time we were checked into our room. We waited a very long time for other guests that were supposed to join on the boat ride over that never showed up. This occurred during dinner time and we were very hungry while on the boat. The sea was rough too and we were exhausted from traveling. There weren't any snacks on the boat over. Lets just say it wasn't a great start. Also, for whatever reason, turndown service occurred only a few times during our stay. We made sure we didn't have the "do not disturb sign on". Lastly, I wish that there was more latitude on exploring the island/ocean. There is only a small area you can kayak or paddle board and the bike tour was limited to a small part of the south end of the island. But other than that, it was a really nice experience overall.

We selected Isla Mujeres impressions for our honeymoon destination. We booked the room, airline and transportation to and from property through Hyatt directly. Overall the Service and scenery were amazing. Contracted transportation to/from property was terrible, waited 2 hours at the airport for a private luxury vehicle pickup only to be told it wasn’t available and crammed in a warm musty shuttle. We were dropped off at the wrong ferry port and had to pay for a cab to take us to the correct port. We called Hyatt who told us they would reimburse us for the cab with a receipt. Good luck getting a receipt from a cab driver in Mexico. When we finally made it to the correct dock we could actually sit and relax. Once we made it to the property we were taken to the bar for a drink and then given a tour of the property. Once the tour ended we went to our room. We were told we were upgraded from the honeymoon suite to a paramount room. However, looking at all the listings it was shown to be a downgrade and we requested the honeymoon suite we originally booked. While we waited for our belongings to be moved to our correct room we were asked by two separate employees if we wanted to buy a membership for exclusive discounts and a better room for a minimal upgrade fee. The A/C went out in the honeymoon suite 3 times and on the final time they put us in an adjacent room while the AC was being repaired. Food/drinks were subpar. Food at most restaurants was poor quality and bland. Drinks were watered down or made incorrectly. The pools needed to be cleaned more often as leaves etc were always stuck to our bodies. The snorkel/kayaking area was very limited due to sea urchins. Overall the waiters and the butlers were very helpful and went above and beyond. But as usual beware of what you see on social media as it does not live up to the hype.

Dear rPROD0405, I am sorry to hear that your honeymoon experience at Isla Mujeres Impression did not live up to your expectations and that you faced several setbacks during your stay. It is disappointing to hear about the problems you encountered with transportation, room assignments, air conditioning and the quality of food and beverages. I take your comments very seriously and will share them with our management team to address the issues mentioned and improve our services. It is important to us to provide an exceptional experience for eveyr single guest, and I am very sorry that we did not meet your expectations in this occasion. This Hotel is way over rated. The facility is beautiful but be mindful it is built on a cliff and to get from the water to the lobby (main level) is like working a stair master for 5 min. I didn't count, but someone said it was 119 steps up. An elevator would had been nice. The Butlers we were assigned were very friendly but only could accommodate about half our request. It would had been nice if they told us what items booked early that we needed reservations for so they could accommodate. Instead they would ask what do you want? I don't know, I have never been here. The maid service is advertised 3 times a day. We had our room serviced 4 times in 7 days and we had to ask for it each time. Mini bar was to be stocked daily and we were asked upon arrival for any request. It was not stocked regularly and we constantly had to remind them of what we wanted. (including water) Room service was timely, as our Breakfast was delivered on time each day. However if you would like a pot of coffee, or an omelet with something other than eggs you had to call. (We found this out on our last morning there) Also you have to request they come take the dirty plates, If not I believe they would had been in the cubby all week. They started to smell after the 2nd day. Pools are nice with limited seating. Bar tenders were good but we have had better, more personal service at our Secrets resorts. We would have enjoyed a variety of vibes for each pool. Maybe a DJ at one and a Singer at another or something. I'm not saying a college spring break, but something besides the same Musiac that played through the entire hotel. Dinning service was the slowest I have ever seen. Each dinner was 2+ hours. We had to ask for drinks to be refilled (even water) and table to be pre-bussed once finished with a course. This is defiantly not 5 star service. Beach was very small and partitioned off by there pier. The slide is only available 2 hours a day for some unknown reason. The kayaks and paddle boards only go to the edge of pier so they are worthless. I'm sure this is for safety reasons and this is the sport a lot of boat tours visit as this is some of the best water around the island. I could keep going about how disappointed I am in this resort. Again, it is a beautiful Hotel but it lacks a lot, especially for the cost.

Dear Jim S, Thank you for taking the time to share with us your detailed comments on your recent stay, We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and offer our sincerest apologies. We understand your concerns about the accessibility from the beach to the lobby, and we regret any inconvenience you were caused. We are working on the following two options to reach our coast: a golf cart and an electric chair for our guest The irregularity in housekeeping and the minibar not meeting expectations is unacceptable. We are reviewing our internal processes to ensure a more consistent and satisfactory experience in these areas. Your observation about the need to vary the activities and music in the pools is valid, and we will take it into account to offer a more diverse and personalized experience. We understand that the speed of the dining service could have met your expectations We are concerned to read your comments about the service you experienced during your stay. Please be assured that your review will be shared with our department heads for corrective action We appreciate your honesty and look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back to demonstrate our commitment to excellence. This place was by far the nicest resort we've stayed in Mexico, and we've stayed at six other resorts over the years. It did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations. That said, sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, and we couldn't take the private boat transfer because of it, so we had to take the ferry to the hotel. If the weather is poor, someone from the hotel will meet you at the ferry dock with tickets, and when you arrive at Isla Mujeres, they'll arrange a taxi to take you to the hotel.
However, once we got to the hotel, it was amazing from the moment we walked in. We were greeted by our amazing butler, Martin, and his colleague, Eric, who took care of us the entire time. I'd highly recommend the Ocean Front room since it faces west towards the sunset, unlike the Ocean View rooms that only face east overlooking the Island and the local’s backyards—it's just not the same experience. Our Ocean Front room was absolutely gorgeous, with our very own hot tub, not just a jacuzzi, which we prefer, and was perfect for unwinding at the end of the day before getting ready for dinner.
The pools were amazing, but we spent nearly all our time at the beach. There is a beach along with beds and lounge chairs on the docks; they were extremely comfortable and never felt overcrowded. The service was some of the best we've ever had. They always walked around asking if we needed anything and we never had to chase anyone down. The food everywhere was incredible, as were the drinks. We had some of the best mojitos we've had, but they'll make you anything you can think of, and every drink was good. And they have an onsite mixologist who can craft amazing drinks.
There are a lot of stairs to get down to the beach because it's on a cliff, but it didn't bother us. It felt good to get a bit of exercise, although there's also a more gradual ramp you can take. The rooftop pool has amazing views, and the sunsets are great because you're facing west. The beds by the beach/dock are great, and the area between the dock was protected from waves, which made for calm waters, albeit not as clear as the open ocean area. The snorkeling near the docks was fun; we saw tons of fish where the private boat transfer drops you off. The slide was a lot of fun too, operating twice a day for an hour each time. The food was spectacular, and we generally prefer our room service for breakfast in bed.
Of course, any time we travel to these resorts, we love the Hibachi experience, and both Israel and Vitalino made it a lot fun.
Overall, it was the nicest Mexico resort we've ever stayed at, and we’d highly recommend!!

Pros:
First and foremost, let me express my admiration for the sheer beauty of this hotel. The aesthetics and decorations are impeccably done, making the property visually stunning. Despite not being as expansive as some all-inclusive resorts, the clever layout gives an impression of vastness, with numerous pathways, pools, rooftop spaces, and a plethora of activities to fill your days. The beach, in comparison to neighboring hotels, is serene and enjoyable. The inclusion of various water activities like snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking added a delightful dimension to our stay.
Secondly, a heartfelt shoutout to the programming and entertainment staff, especially Rogelio, Leo, and Pablo. Their contributions elevated our trip to another level, and we truly appreciated the personal connections we formed with them. The mixology workshop, the bike ride, and the salsa night were standout moments that made our stay memorable.
Thirdly, as a LGBTQ+ couple, we felt entirely at ease and welcomed at this hotel. Navigating a foreign country as a queer couple can be daunting, but here, we were treated with the same warmth and respect as any other couple. This inclusivity did not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for the comfortable environment provided.
Cons:
Regrettably, our arrival by boat was hindered by weather conditions, leading us to take the ferry and cab instead. Understandably, this altered our initial experience, missing out on the welcoming drink, tequila bottle in the room, and a tour of the property. The butler service, while satisfactory, could benefit from clearer explanations of its workings upon arrival, as we had to navigate it ourselves. Additionally, the shared butler system meant responses to texts were not always prompt.
On the beach, the waiting staff appeared consistently occupied, making it challenging to capture their attention or place orders promptly. Observing preferential treatment based on tipping or financial status was disheartening, suggesting a need for additional staffing. Enhancements in this area could significantly improve the overall beach experience.
The VIP services, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. The coupon book, in our opinion, proved to be of little value and could benefit from reevaluation.
In summary, while the resort's beauty and entertaining staff provided a positive experience, addressing the mentioned areas of improvement would undoubtedly enhance overall guest satisfaction.

This place is an absolute gem. It really can’t get better then Impression Isla Mujeres. As a frequent traveler to Impression Moxche I was a bit apprehensive to venture away from Moxche, but it was a great decision.
From the moment you arrive to the marina a representative from Impression will greet you and sit you in their private area. You are offered cold beverages until your departure to the island. Once you arrive you feel the luxury vibe.
All the food is spectacular. I’d say the only additions needed is to have more grilled varietals. Our favorite spot was the Tempyanaki (usually avoid them, but was told not to miss it) as Chef Vitalino and waiter were beyond amazing.
Angel our butler was attentive and amazing. He was detailed oriented and any requests we had he’d respond instantly. Absolutely incredible individual.
The cocktails were amazing as we all hung out at the rooftop bar and the main pool. The two bartenders Roger and Irving who we primarily ordered from made incredible drinks and would go out of their way to make sure nobody had an empty glass. All of the cocktails they made were spot on.
The management here has made this place an absolute gem. You can tell the effort that has been made with the staff here as EVERY employee at this resort goes out of their way to make sure guests are happy. The general manager, Mourad Essafi will walk the property frequently and talk to the guests. This is unbelievable as you don’t see this kind of interaction at this level of hotel anymore. I really appreciated this interaction more then anything else.
This is a place you just can’t describe in words and deserves a lot better review then I’m capable of writing. If you are on the fence because of the price I’d say it’s definitely worth the cost.
Thank you Isla Impression and we look forward to celebrating Courtney’s birthday in April. See you soon!

This resort is a hidden gem. It is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The food is healthy and delicious (all freshly made and presented like artwork). My favorite dish was the salmon toast on hearty grain bread and grilled snapper. You won't find any cheap food here, even the ice cream and desserts at the cafe are delicious, freshly made and works of art. There are various restaurants, so the variety of food is perfect (Asian, steak, Mexican, Italian and American plus a cafe with desserts) The bars were well stocked with upper shelf varieties and the bartenders were amazing. the rooms are gorgeous and supplied with everything you need including 3 bottles of wine, tequila, coffee and snacks with a mini fridge of non-alcohol drinks. Absolutely perfect all around.
There are only two negatives that I can think of:
There are 81 steps from the beach area to the main floor of the resort. Not a problem for us, but might be for some.
Getting to the island can be tricky. You need taxi service from the airport to the water port then hopefully you will have good weather to sail on the catamaran to the island. The catamaran only runs every two hours so you may have to wait awhile depending upon what time you arrive. The weather was too windy to use the catamaran which meant we had to use the ferry (its longer and runs on hourly schedule) then we had to take a taxi from water port to resort. Not a big deal, but with airline delays and catamaran/ferry schedules you spend the entire day traveling. The same situation occurred on our departure day, so we had to leave the resort 5.5 hours prior to our flight time (there was a lot of sitting around waiting).
There is not a large beach/sand area but there is an enclosed swim area inside the docks near the slide exit. You cannot take a long walk on the beach because there is only a small area owned by the resort (other areas of the beach are owned by someone else and you cannot go on their property). The resort offers a few activities such as yoga, cooking class, wine tasting, bike and paddle board/kayak tours but it's not a high activity resort. It's meant for pool and relaxing. There was a DJ on the rooftop one night, but this is not a loud, partying late night resort.

Impressions by Secrets Isla Mujeres, Mexico is a stunning, new resort by Secrets that meets up to all the well-deserved hype. From the first glimpse of the resort on the Catamaran to the wave goodbye by the staff from the pier, the week was perfectly spectacular. The staff was friendly and offered assistance whenever it was needed. The food is of the highest quality and all the tastes great. The two main pools are beautiful with amazing views. The beach is rather small, yet has a swimming area that is confined from the threat of seaweed and other debris. Easy access to the full ocean allows for snorkeling and scuba activities The rooms are fully equipped with couches, plentiful storage, double sinks, a 3-head shower and top it off with remote control room-darkening shades.

We did not go to any clubs so I cannot answer that . There are bars in the resort and have themed Evenings . Not a party resort though .
If not ocean front it will be lots of greenery .
The catamaran is about a 20 min ride. It’s a lot of fun and includes beverages! The wait time for us wasn’t more than 15 mins.
We booked a private car
