I've stayed at vistalmar twice now, once solo and another time with my boyfriend. The room are very basic, clean and nothing special. However, I always know what to expect and keep coming back. The owners are great, the housekeepers are super friendly and The price is right!

We stayed for 5 nights and were pleasantly surprised. There are many long term and repeat guests which gave the place a family feel. The rooms are basic and clean. The location can't be beat. A nice, laid back place to stay.

I'm currently 19 years old and I have been going to Isla for 2 years now. I can tell you out of all the fancy hotels on the island, hotel vistalmar, is the most superb when it comes to the warm hospitality of the island. Though the hotel has a rustic appearance its balcony views are breath taking, from the...

I've stayed at this hotel before and it is a no frills option. It is very clean and the staff is very nice. If you are looking for a no frills, basic place to stay near the beach and action, this is a good option. Nothing fancy but very affordable.

I stayed here with my friend during a 3 month trip in Mexico. We loved this place for it's sea views, proximity to the beach and main street, and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and tasteful, and last but not least, the price was right!

This hotel is a gem of its kind. It has great views of the boats and waterfront as its just across the street from it all. It's laid back, sort of funky and certainly cheap but the location and the fun people who go there yearly make it wonderful. Large social veranda where gatherings happen all the time. The rooms...

My wife and I have been staying at this hotel for 7 winters and we have met a lot of professional people from all around the world and many gloriously friendly Canadians. True, there can be some partying from time to time but this is not Fort Lauderdale. A simple request for quiet is usually sufficient. The rooms are comfortable...

This was not the first time I’ve stayed at Vistalmar. I’ve traveled a lot in Mexico and this is your typical low price Mexican hotel. We paid $25 a night. The room was clean, the water hot and the furnishings basic. We had fan only with no air conditioning. It was only March, but if we stayed in July or...

Clean, friendly, lots of hot water for the shower, ideal location for shopping, restaurants and beach. What more could you ask for at an unbelievably cheap price. We felt very safe at all times on the island. Only 2 minutes walk to the most stunning beach.
