Playa la Media Luna hotel is located on the Northeast corner of the island, on a beautiful beach and a short walk from the restaurants and bars of town. We were there during a very windy time, creating a dramatic view of big, breaking surf. The rooms have great views and each has a porch with hammock. Rooms are comfortable,...

First of all, I have to say that we love Isla. This was our third time to the island and on the previous occasions, we stayed at Ixchel Beach condos, which were fabulous. We wanted to try something different this time and booked 11 nights at Playa La Media Luna, room 8. The view from our deck was spectacular and...

Room was nice. Staff was great and very helpful. Everything was clean. It's on a quiet part of the island, except the hotel's beach can get pretty windy, especially at night. Very close to Playa Norte, which is exceptional.

The hotel is excellent, not exactly in the center, which makes it a quiet and relaxing place. If you don't have a car or golf cart it's probably best to take a taxi from the ferry terminal as it is located all the way behind the convention center. The view from the rooms and the swimming pool is great with...

PROs: This hotel has a beach on the island that no other hotel can boost of! It is set between some rocks, which gives you a "personal beach" and nice privacy. The sand and shallow water is a little rocky, but the pool overlooks the beach, so you can enjoy from the pool area, if you prefer. The breeze coming...

We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. We decided to try the new budget rooms and the rustic room. The budget room is small, but clean. Nice balcony with two chairs and hammock, just no view. View is into parking lot or other rooms. There was some construction going on. We didn't use the balcony at all. The...

Its not trying to be a five star people so get over it. Its a solid 3 star with a fantastic location. If your looking for resort style service, go to a resort. If you want a quiet simple beach hotel you'll love it.

I stayed at this Hotel for four nights and everything was very good. The best thing: the view from the balcony (free hammock included)! You can see and hear the ocean and the waves every day and night! Nice pool area where you can have some drinks and sunbeds for free. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful....

We stayed at Playa La Media Luna Hotel on our last night in Isla Mujeres after staying for almost a week at the opposite end of the island. It's located on the north end of the island, which is the busiest, has the nicest beaches and the most to do. The hotel is tucked away in a weird spot, sitting...

My wife and I recently spent 5 nights here at the end of a month in Belize and southern Mexico. This hotel is a quiet little gem. We booked a garden view room for $90 US per night. The room was large with a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Nice big shower with hot water every time. Balcony with 2...
