Don't expect luxury. The location is prime. Showers were clean and hot. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the A/C worked. The only negative is the noise in the morning. What in the world is the restaurant staff even doing? Intentionally banging pots and pans together? Bring ear plugs and a fan - problem solved. For the price,...

We stayed in this hotel one night before our vacation rental was available for us. We wanted to be downtown since we didn't have our golf cart yet so that was really the only positive to this hotel:location . Otherwise it was not a very nice room, very basic which would've been fine for $40-$50/night not $88. The restaurant below...

First of all I would say that in Isla Mujeres the use of the word hotel is to broad. We came here from Playa del Carmen where we stayed at a 4 star hotel for aproximatly the same money. I will start with the good this hotel has to offer: 1. It's in a great location. Now for all the...

I arrived at the hotel and nobody was there to welcome me, a poor employee of the restaurant was left to figure out my situation, he then led me to the hotel across the street, when I asked what was happening he told me they changed my reservation He said my room was not available and I couldn't speak to...

I had stayed at the Hotel Belmar several years ago and loved the hotel. It is reasonably priced and in a great location. The rooms are simple but nice. I booked the hotel again for my latest trip without knowing that there had been a change in hotel management. There were some definite areas in which the hotel has declined....

Everything was up to Rolandi's standards. I have to disagree with the "treated like a thief" in the many times I have stayed at Hotel Bemar never has the maid or anyone else went into my room. Never been hassled about smoking or drinking. My room was at the back and the smells from the pizza oven is overwhelming. The...

Every time we left our room someone went into our room and there are signs posted that they will do this. Seems like an invasion of privacy to me. It's too bad that tourists have made them this uneasy about guests. We were asked to leave our key at the front desk every time we left the room. I would...

Its 5 minutes from ferry. Smack in the middle of town. Quaint 3 story walk up no elevator so be aware. We stayed in 3 rd flr room no view but who cares. Nice and clean comfy beds, great linens, roomy bath. No hot water to speak of but it was cheap $80 cdn per person which is a great...

I was across the street at a hotel that had much better reviews for 1 night but during breakfast could tell from the glimpse I had of the Belmar rooms that they looked better. When the man at the front desk of my hotel sort of rudely asked me for a $10 towel deposit (they already had a $30 safe...

We spent a wonderful time in this hotel in Febr. 2014. Loved the location, ambience and breakfast! I'm trying to book again but impossible to get hold of anybody.....be email or phone. Emails aren't answered and phone just goes to voicemail without any room for messages. This is really disappointing and I don't know how they run the business these...
