The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, the pools, the beaches, the landscape all amazing! We checked in for our honeymoon, I had booked a romantic dinner on the beach from online from the resorts website for our first night to celebrate the beginning of our honeymoon. When trying to confirm the dinner at check in, I was told I had to go to the restaurant to confirm. So I go to the restaurant and they had no confirmation of my booking. I booked, paid for the experience, had my confirmation code/email and showed them my confirmation email. The resort did not have any other availability while we were visiting for this experience. The restaurant sent me back to the front desk, they did not help me whatsoever with refund, told me because I did it through the website I need to email, I tried to cancel from the email I had received with the confirmation, but was blocked from canceling because I already checked into the resort. The front desk was not helpful in refunding me my money or trying to accommodate us in another way, I have emailed and called several numbers with no help whatsoever with being refunded. I still have not been refunded my money for a service we did not receive. In my opinion, the service at this resort was horrible, not helpful at all. If a guest is visiting and paying for a service accommodations should be done!!!! If booking online does not go directly to the resort, it should not be offered on the website, it is false advertisement. Another issue with this resort is the rooms are outdated, the jacuzzi tub did not work on our balcony, we had to call maintenance the first night to come and fix it. The shower took over 5 minutes to warm up and never got very hot, the knobs in the shower did not work either. There is not enough loungers in the beach/pool areas for guest and there is not enough towels for guest either. The first day we were told they did not even have any towels available. First impressions are everything and from the moment we checked in, we knew this resort was not for us. We had just left Dreams Riviera cancun and the service there was above and beyond! We were very disappointed from the moment we arrived. Another disappointment was the service at the beach/ pool areas takes forever, we sat on the beach for over an hour with no one even coming over to us. Also, to even get a towel you have to ask one of the staff members coming around because the bins are empty. It took over an hour in the beach area to get service, so we were sitting on loungers with no towels. The food at this resort is very good I will give them that, but I would never recommend this resort to anyone. The island is absolutely beautiful and plan to return someday, but will find another resort to stay at for sure.…
We booked our stay directly through the hotel. It was easy and the costumer services was pretty good. We requested a special dinner celebration on the beach and we arranged our transportation from the aiport to Isla Mujeres and from Isla to our next hotel in Cancun prior to our arrival. The process was very easy. Hotel's Transportation was cheaper than trying to get your own ride. I made the reservation directly through the hotel and it iwas worth everything. You will be cruising on a little yacht, watching the wonderful sunset while drinking a Corona on your way to heaven (FYI weather conditions might affect the boat ride. I would ask about weather policy.) That was our first impression of the service provided by Zoetry. You arrive directly to the hotel. No hassle with your luggage of any kind. Our little private dinner by the beach was everything and more. The staff made it very special. Thank you! It's a small hotel and the beach is not big, but for us, it was perfect. We visited Playa Norte not too far away. It was beautiful, but too crowded. We preferred to stay at our hotel. Not many kids here. Not ideal for a family with small children. We had our 8-year-old son with us. He didn't mind; he went kayaking and played his guitar, but there isn't much to do for the little ones. Our room was spacious, very clean, fresh sparkling wine every day, the food was delicious, the yoga class in the deck by the ocean was wonderful, fantastic service... great All-Inclusive!! I loved it here. We didn't want to leave. The Hotel is a bit outdated, first night we heard traffic noise from the street, but the room has two doors. The main door and a second one that leads to your room. Once we figured out to close both doors, we slept like babies. We were told they will close for renovations in the near future. If the level of service remains, We will be back as soon as they reopen. This part of my birthday trip was very special! Thank you!!…
For a relaxing and pampered get away vacation this is the place to go. We appreciated the smaller scale of the resort as it was quiet but had enough guests and activities to connect with others. The pool area was nice, especially the warmer saltwater pool. Unfortunately, there often were not enough lounge chairs for all of the guests. The pool side service staff was very friendly and attentive. Thanks to Ulysses and the all the other exceptional wait staff. We participated in outdoor yoga that had a lovely view. Jess is a good instructor who encouraged us to challenge our practice. We had massages and other spa treatments. All were excellent. Nora and Anna have magical hands. The main restaurant had exceptional food freshly prepared throughout the day. Try the "green juice" at breakfast. The ceviche was blissful, and all the seafood dished were well prepared and tasty. Thanks to Jorge we learned a bit about Mexican wines. The 7-course dinners at Le Mettisage were creative, flavorful, and aesthetically presented. We appreciated all of the live dinner music. After dinned we enjoyed hanging out in the lobby bar with our resort friends and the delightful bartender Hilario. The front desk was very helpful with all of our transportation issues and question. Malena the Concierge was a delight to work with and made consistent efforts to be sure we were well taken care of. The activities director Leo was a dynamo of energy and engagement! From salsa dancing, soothing cucumber eye wraps to a special Mayan birthday celebration. He really made our stay special and memorable. Kudos to the house keeping staff for all of their special room decorations. The facility is showing its age, but we understand they will be doing an extensive remodel soon. We hope to return to the updated Villa Rolandi …
Admittedly, this was my first vacation in 7 years. Long overdue. I booked an all inclusive with Destination Fun Travel, which was the best idea ever. Every single aspect of my travel was seamless. The moment I arrived in Cancun to the taxi to Dreams Resort to the Zoetry via boat transportation. What a way to arrive! I was immediately greeted with a “Welcome home,” followed by a warm welcome from beautiful Anna at the desk who explained everything. Off to my ocean view room on the main floor…at first I was bummed I didn’t have my own jacuzzi- yet after talking to other guests- it didn’t sound like it was working for them. I felt immediately lucky to have that gorgeous patio door open up to walk right down to the spa, pool, or beach. I loved sitting on my patio at night as someone with insomnia listening to my music, drinking my champagne, & soaking up the glorious stars over the ocean. There was only one night of loud neighbors for a wedding party that were imposing- and a yacht that docked directly across from me blasting Spanish pop music til the wee hours of the night. The staff addressed my concerns & the trip continued beautifully. Favorites…by far…Yassel & her beautiful yoga flows by the ocean, Leo, the Guru of the resort is remarkable. Loved! His ceremonies make you feel connected to ur spirits. Beautiful Nelly in the little hotel shop was an angel filled with love. The guys on the beach working their tails off accommodating every single request with a smile. I loved them. All the great servers in the restaurant accommodating anything I wanted even when it was late. The ceviche…the guacamole…the seared seafood…sooo good. I can’t remember everyone’s name- but it was absolute magic. Every single person says hello, smiles, is accommodating- from the front desk (thank you, David), to the guys on the boat, to the guys at the front drive up, to the ladies in the spa…the pools, the views, the margaritas…the beach…the other great ppl I met from around the world…I had the best time. I didn’t love the water pressure in the shower all the time- and the room, while beautiful, never felt entirely clean- a little sticky on surfaces here & there- and snacks/soaps were never replenished as I’d hoped—even when I left notes requesting for housekeeping on. The towels & robes not the softest- but that was minimal compared to everything else. The beach…my trip to Playa Norte—-spectacular! Go to TARZAN bar & grill! Favorite. All in all, excellent service all around. Beautiful staff. Beautiful property. Made new friends & had an experience of my lifetime. I’d definitely return. Thank you to the wonderful crew at the Zoetry. Much love, Amy …
I am ashamed to say that this is my first review of Zoetry Villa Rolandi--and I just came back from my fifth visit. And I am already thinking about scheduling my sixth. I have fallen in love with the island. And even more so, I have fallen in love with ZVR. I love its small size. I love that it's set away/apart on the island and is wonderfully quiet. The food is fantastic, and the restaurants are so accommodating. The rooms show a little wear and tear, but are still wonderfully comfortable (especially the bed); I know that renovations are on the way. The views from just about anywhere on the property are breathtaking. But the people there rise about all of those great traits. I have never been somewhere with such an amazing and attentive staff. Ivan the General Manager is fantastically responsive. Eligio and all of the women and men at the front desk are fantastic and so helpful. Hilario in the Cozy Bar is so fun, and it is a real joy to see his face each year. The waitstaff at the restaurants are all wonderful--and I especially love some of the middle-aged male waiters who remember all of my preferences. Jafar, Ulisses, and the other pool/beach server are fast and so accommodating. And the housekeeping staff are efficient (and I love that they do my laundry with such care). The guys who run the hotel's boat are great too! While I can't imagine going anywhere else, ZVR isn't for everyone. If you're loud and need a big party atmosphere and lots of entertainment--or things to do with kids--ZVR might not be your cup of tea, but that's why I love it. I love what a refuge it offers me and how it's the perfect quiet, serene, and stunning place to unwind. The resort is pretty perfect. And one could easily never leave. But if you go, do make sure you leave the property to see a sunrise at Punta Sur, visit a couple of other restaurants (Rosa Sirena, Tiny Gecko, Soggy Peso, Lola Valentina--and some tacos stands are big favorites), see Playa Norte (a beach club day is always nice to experience that gorgeous beach and all the people...and then I happily retreat back to ZVR), etc. I go alone. Solo travelers are in the minority there, but it's perfect for me. You get treated like royalty. And I have made real friends with others (including couples) who are there when I am. I am devastated I am back home, but hopefully I will get my next visit scheduled and will be back before I know it.…
First let me begin that it’s clear with the exception of the front desk staff who appeared mildly interested with our concerns. The restaurant, housekeeping and pool staff did the absolutely the best they could do with what they had to work with. So my review is not a reflection of them, but of the Zoetry hotel and mainly the Hyatt hotel branch. 1) Upon arrival at the airport we discovered that our transport was forgotten, I called the main reception and they sent one with the excuse that they were running behind. But yet did not have our name or flight info. 2) They did not give us the room we asked for and called the room we did get an upgrade. It was not. 3) upon our arrival we reserved a golf cart for 24 hours to be picked up the next day at 5:pm and retuned 5:pm the following day. We went to pick up the golf cart only to be told that they did not have one. Ruined all our plans for that evening and the next day. They provided no solution. 4) Tried to order room service only to find out that they phone in the room did not work. So we had to walk up to the front desk and place our order or ask for someone to be sent to our room for the order. Again did not to fix the problem. 5) with only 2 restaurants and one of which required reservation. We were unable to get reservation during our entire stay. 6) Only one guy working huge entire pool and beach area who was clearly in a bad mood understandably so, because excluding us and other guests their was a large group of 18 people that were very demanding which delayed everyone else getting drinks or food, if any. 7) finally the condition of the room and amenities were less then adequate. Stained sheets, torn towels, torn bathrobes, broken phone, and last but not least mold on the lounge chair cushions. For 700+ dollars a night, come on Hyatt you can do better. I can honestly say that although I loved the location the tranquility and the private beach I will find it had to return. It’s clear that they are more focused on the new builds and are neglecting this little Jen.…
This small slice of Paradise went above and beyond any expectation I had. From the moment you walk up the steps until the moment you walk out the door, this hotel makes sure every single aspect of your day goes well. The tranquility of the resort, coupled with the amazing attention to detail made this stay completely amazing! I cannot wait to return!
My husband and I were not sure we would like a small resort. We have travelled all over Mexico staying at many all-inclusive resorts from Dreams, Excellence, Karisma, Iberostars and more. We absolutely loved our experience with the Zoetry Villa Rolandi. The resort was stunning, the food and fresh juices were amazing, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed meeting Leo, Hilario, Antonio, Ana, Jabar, and Dave the jeweler. We will definitely return to this fanatastic place.
Plus and minus + Location. Nice private eqsy going place with a small but nice beach (not to compare with North Beach but you can swim and enjoy the water) + Service attitude from the beach, pool, restaurant and reception personnel. They really make the difference, kudos to them that know something is not working right at the hotel but they don’t give up on the attitude! + Food. Great, fresh, and tasty food, prepared with love. It shows the kitchen personnel are there to do a job in all of its extension Now the minus: - Housekeeping and maintenance. Linens with stains (not just one but several), pillows with ripped zippers, couch with ripped zippers on the covers, terrace with old stains, jacuzzi with broken pieces, sink where only the hot water works, bathrobes with ripped sewing (changed them after we ask for it, but to offer them in the first place is unacceptable). - Pool area. Floors are not cleaned, umbrellas are really just ripping apart and to a certain point not anymore useful (not all of them but again, to leave those there for days and days and believe one will not notice is unacceptable) And no, we didn’t ask to talk to the manager because we are here on vacation not working to make sure they do their job. Is a little hotel, the manager should be on top of it, even if they do not have a budget for renovations, a little sewing/real cleaning here and there would make a difference. And yes, we were here in one of the most expensive time of the year and for that is kind of a “let’s ripped them off” behavior. We really hope the place would get renovated, change the management and keep the nice, sweet, committed people they have in the team. No, I don’t need an apology, just do your job! With that being said, we concentrate on the good and had a relaxing time in Isla, again, we are not here to do someone else’s job. As to weather we recommend the hotel, scroll up, make your choice and if you come don’t get angry and enjoy the ++++…
The staff is helpful and professional. The included laundry service was really nice. We enjoyed both restaurants. Leo was the star of the experience, leading salsa dancing, a Mayan ceremony, and bringing Mexican bingo to the pool. We also loved the Yoga classes.
