My husband and I stayed at Casa El Pío for 6 nights while on Isla. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. The rooms were so clean, bright, and airy. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on when not at home! Coffee maker, fridge, water supply all were great! The roof top deck was perfect! We watched the sun rise up there. It was windy a few days during our stay, so my hubby grabbed some drinks from the store and we used the loungers for the day. It was perfect! The location is ideal! We walked around everywhere and it was wonderful. Jose was great! He helped us secure a golf cart when we decided to explore the south side of the island. The cleaning staff, I wish I knew her name, did such a great job. Each day we came back to a wonderfully cleaned room! I only have positive things to say. My hubby and I normally like to travel to different areas, but we are already talking about a return trip to Isla, which will include a return stay at Casa El Pio. Thank you all so much for the little touches that made such a big difference!

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to write this review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us so much. Casa el Pío exists for travelers like you and it makes our hearts full to see that you enjoyed your stay with us so thoroughly. I love your "can't go to the beach today" hack of buying drinks and cuddling up on the roof. That's what it is there for! That and the sunrises <3. I am so glad that the staff made your stay better, as well. Jose is a wonderful treasure and our housekeeping family, Ofelia and Fabiola, are miracle workers. They keep the rooms sparkling and stocked with coffee day after day and we are so glad you noticed their efforts. Please come back any time. Isla is a magical place to revisit and we'll here for you to call home when you return! Hillary

Just returned from five lovely nights and enjoyed our stay! Room was bright, white and contemporary...used the refrigerator and the water bottles. Loved in-room self serve coffee. Shower and bath were nice too. Appreciated the attention from housekeeping. The hotel feels so quaint and private—saw one guest once during our stay. My only complaint—and hear me out on this: room number five faces the public road and it is noisy even without town celebrations. Each night, I heard at least 3-4 dogs bark and then howl back and forth ALL NIGHT and a cat or two in heat screaming (sounded like a human scream). One night at 12:30 am a group of young adults had a shouting match and four of the men started fighting. A tall man in a cowboy hat came out of one of the homes and stopped the fight. None of my sleep-aids helped (Benadryl, melatonin, or ear plugs). So I went to the pharmacy and got muscle relaxers. If you are a light-sleeper, don’t reserve #5 or bring ambien. ;) The hotel can’t control this. I understand and it didn’t take away from me loving this small hotel. Thanks for our lovely stay! Can’t wait to come back. 💕

Melissa Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. It really REALLY helps people find the right place for them and we can't thank you enough. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and had so many nice things to say about us and the experience we try to provide. We do apologize for the noise on the street. It's true that we cannot control it and some nights are quieter than others, certainly. It does sound like you got a sampler platter of what our neighbors can offer! If you ever do return to stay with us, the back rooms (#1 - #4) of the property are considerably quieter. In those rooms you really do just hear noise if there's an event in the square. Thank you again!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during our honeymoon. To be honest, everything was just perfect in this hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. The shower was perfect. Everything we needed was in the room. Fridge, blowdryer, coffee machine, beachtowels. We loved all the personal details in the hotel. A few examples are the shower haiku and self made brochure & ‘Aloha’ book with local restaurant/activity recommedations. The colors blue & white in the whole hotel really gave us the feeling that we were staying on an island. The location of the hotel is everything you need if your visiting the island. Located in a side street in the centre, just a 3 minute walk from the ferry, 3 minute walk from the shopping and restaurant street and about a nice 10 min walk from Playa North. There’s a beautiful rooftop where we went to every night that was a perfect ending of each day. Next time we go to Isla Mujeres, we will book Casa el Pio again. Thank you José & staff!

We had a lovely stay at Casa el Pio. The staff were wonderful and helped us book activities and were in general super friendly. Rooms are very cosy and clean, and the rooftop is amazing. It has very few rooms though, so book well in advance. Extra pluss for having bottles and water for refill, so guests don’t have to buy a single plastic bottle the whole stay :) Nora

I had another great stay at casa el pío. They have great WiFi, huge rooms, coffee pot & fridge with welcome beer, etc but the best feature is the roof deck. It has beautiful views of the sea and sunrise. It’s a quiet location but close to everything. It’s spotlessly clean. There is also a relaxing courtyard with dipping pool.
