Villa Escondida is an inviting oasis in the heart of Cozumel! Once you enter through door, the gardens & pool area make you forget about the hustle and bustle outside. There are restful hammocks & comfortable seating to enjoy the wonderful climate. The rooms are comfortable & supplied with everything we needed. David & Magda are wonderful hosts! They made us feel right at home! Magda’s breakfasts were delicious!! Local cuisine at it’s finest!! The location is perfect for walking to the waterfront, the Square, shopping & lots of great restaurants. We are already looking forward to our return next year!!

My husband and I stayed here for one week in Jan., 2023. Our suite was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfy. The location was quiet yet close to the main restaurant area. David and Magda were wonderful hosts with lots of great suggestions for restaurants and things to do on the Island. And we started each day with a delicious breakfast and coffee. Would definitely return next time we venture down this way again.

This is home away from home. My wife and I have been coming here for 12 years and will not stay anywhere else on the island ( we have stayed at other hotels before discovering this gem). David and Magda have taken us into the family and we couldn’t be more pleased with the beautiful setting, friendly culture that is their bed and breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, Magda makes the trips with her Caribbean French toast and other breakfast delights. It’s walking distance from the island center where you will find many great restaurants (Le Chef , Guidos) and shopping. The rooms come with maid service and the pool is beautiful.

This was our first time staying with David and Magda and it certainly won’t be our last. Usually we only visit Cozumel for 8-10 hours or so via a cruise ship, but this trip was definitely worth the extended time. This beautiful bed & breakfast is located in downtown Cozumel only a 10 minute taxi from the airport. There is plenty of shopping within a few blocks, a Starbucks only a 5 minute walk away (almost a necessity for my wife) and a great Mexican restaurant across the street. The air conditioned room was beautiful with a king-sized bed overlooking the backyard pool (which was so refreshing and relaxing). The highlight of the trip, without a doubt, was the authentic home cooked breakfast by Magda (which is included in the modest price). We had fresh fruit, yogurt, delicious pastries from a nearby bakery and a different hot meal each day (a tortilla, egg & green chile type breakfast; breakfast tacos and a chicken enchiladas dish) all made by scratch with fresh local ingredients. My husband I spent 9 nights at this beautiful villa, from the moment we arrived David and Magda made us feel at home. It’s the perfect location downtown surrounded by great restaurants, the bed is so comfortable and it’s a nice quiet oasis. We also used The bicycles to get around which was great. Magda’s personal touch with a traditional breakfast is so lovely and thoughtful and I would stay back there in a heart beat!

This was our second time staying with Magda and David. We absolutely love this B&B! Our room was very clean and pool was clean and beautiful. They also have an area to rinse and hang dive gear which is great. New air conditioners have been installed in every room making the rooms nice and cold! Breakfast prepared by Magda was amazing each morning and the coffee she prepares is the best (coffee drinkers you will love). Another great point is the B&B is located downtown which is great for walking everywhere or use the bikes that David maintains. Don't worry being in the bustle of downtown bc once you are in the compound of the home you are transported to a relaxing oasis.

I just completed a 9 day stay at Villa Escondida. My hosts, Magda and David, made my visit pleasant and relaxing. Their B&B is an oasis downtown with a beautiful garden, cool pool, and comfortable rooms. The location is convenient to good dining and near several dive shops. Magda prepares wonderful breakfasts that make it easy for me to catch my morning dive boat. Both she and David are excellent sources of information on things to do on the island and are also available for just a friendly chat. They really seem to love their island home and enjoy sharing it with their guests. I hope to visit them again very soon.

Like others that have reviewed, we have stayed with David and Magda several times. Rather than repeating what they have said, I would like to add an example of how they go the extra mile. Somehow between the airport and the Villa Escondida, I managed to loose my only pair of prescription progressive glasses. I was really besides myself. Magda immediately shot into action without me even asking. She got in her car went to the airport, retraced my steps, found the collective taxi I was in and actually was able to locate them!!! My wife and I returned from Cozumel earlier this month. Our time at Villa Escondida was without doubt a trip highlight. The property is beyond beautiful, right in the middle of everything, with the absolute best hosts on the face of this planet. Magda and David are a B&B Dream Team and made us instantly feel right at home. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast in the morning, well, good luck finding better food on the island. I have been blessed enough to visit some of the most beautiful locations and resorts on Earth. I have never wanted to rush back to any as I do to Villa Escondida. David and Magda...see you soon!!!
