Since 1998, owner Sherri Davis & staff personally take care of all guests on a daily basis. Six spacious, comfortable villas are situated around a relaxing tropical garden, pool, waterfall & jacuzzi area with hammocks. Villas are nonsmoking & have king beds, A/C, Flat Screen TVs/IPTV, free Wi-Fi, kitchens with dishes and porches. Located in a regular neighborhood behind the downtown tourist zone, many “locals” eateries, a park & neighborhood grocery are just around the corner.

We enjoyed our week long stay at IslaMar! The property manager Andrea was extremely helpful all throughout our stay. She was prompt with replies on WhatsApp. She gave us great recommendations for snorkeling, car rental, restaurants, and more! We had a fun filled week in Cozumel and also spent quite a bit of time lounging and catching up on some work in our lovely villa. We had a very comfortable bedroom, living and dining area, kitchen, and bathroom. We love staying in places more in the local part of town to be able to experience the local culture, restaurants and shops. The location is only about a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride to the waterfront and tourist areas. But we honestly preferred staying further away from the hustle and bustle. We loved walking around and getting to know the area. We had absolutely no problems with the neighborhood and everyone was extremely nice! We enjoyed eating at the local taquerias, going to the local supermarket etc! We would stay here again next time in Cozumel! Thank you to the staff at IslaMar for making our trip to Cozumel even better!…

We had our first stay at Islamar Villas, but hopefully it won't be our last. A quiet place to crash in between all the fun we had in Cozumel for 10 days. Rooms are nice and clean, people are friendly, and it felt very safe to us. We were able to walk around the neighborhood and find places to grab a bite to eat, and we actually started to learn our way around pretty well. Thanks, Sherri, for opening up your home to us, and thank you Andrea for taking such good care of us. Can't wait to go back.

I cannot say enough good things about this little gem! Perfect for our needs, stayed 2nd floor great view courtyard and pool. Andrea, Jeanette so good to us, a bit of a walk to centro but not a problem. We often would walk down to eat walk back. Get items from store and enjoy our little spot. Definitely recommend.thank you so much Andrea for ALL the help and great care!!

Sometimes saying less is more… We have stayed at Isla Mar for 15 years and everything is perfect on all levels. The staff takes very good care of the Villas, swimming pool and grounds . We look forward to visiting IslaMar in the future.

Sherri and her team are full of information and ideas; they make staying in Cozumel feel like home. You can't beat getting away from the tourist traps and enjoying the incredible food and sights of Cozumel. We loved being able to wake up to the quiet pool area to start our day. We made several trips to PalMar where we snorkeled, ate amazing ceviche, and learned all about the butterfly sanctuary. We can't wait to go back, and now we know why so many people come and stay for weeks at a time!

This was my eighth time in Cozumel and by far the best. I bring my bike and ride around the island every day. A cycling paradise, and so is the IslaMar. It's location in the middle of town makes it ideal for an authentic Mexican experience. Everything is within walking distance. Grocery stores, restaurants,and downtown are all close. The villas themselves are charming. It felt as if I was staying in a friends house. The kitchen is well equipped, the shower is big enough to hold a meeting in, the bed is comfortable, and the backyard comes complete with a cat and newborn kittens. The staff is great, the whole place is clean and well maintained. I am looking forward to coming back in November

Thank you Sherri and Mauricio, Roger and I had a wonderful time at your Villas and Play Mar Beach Club. We had excellent water to go snorkeling, great people at the villas and at the beach, wonderful weather, fantastic ethnic food in the neighborhood, and a nice time visiting with other folks at the villas. We will be back!!!! We had a great time and put on 200 miles on our scooter. We got around! !!! Love the island, GREAT PLACE TO GO. Thank you again for taking us to the airport for our return flight. I stayed on Cozumel for 3 weeks (this being my 5th trip there) and I can say this place is my favorite by far. It's an amazing cozy little villa and I enjoyed coming home at night as much as going out! Everyone is super friendly, things were clean to my mom's standards (which is almost impossible) and I always felt safe! I will definitely be going back!

We purchased a dive package with Dive Paradise through IslaMar and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the price was excellent with the dive package. The Villas are a few blocks back from the main drag, but that's a good thing. The neighborhood is quiet, there is great authentic food in walking distance, and the cab ride to "Mega" was only 40 pesos ($2.50). Pay in pesos because it is cheaper. The exchange rate is 17:1 at the banks but 10:1 at a vendor. The staff was helpful although we weren't there much as we dove all day and were gone most of the time. The diving is EXCELLENT .. world class. If you haven't dove the reefs at Cozumel, what are you waiting for? :)

We visited Cozumel in March 2016 and stayed at the Islamar vacation rental location for a week. This location is a great place to stay. Cozumel is dominated by the Cruise Ship industry and Islamar is far enough removed from the crowded areas to give guests an authentic experience of the community apart from the tourist crush. At the same time, if you want to partake of the touristy stuff, it's a 20 to 30 minute walk to the oceanfront and the downtown core. And if you don't feel like walking, there's always taxis coming and going and it only costs a couple dollars to get there. The apartments are spacious and clean, and the grounds provide a nice quiet spot to enjoy the sun and pool. The neighbourhood has everything you could possibly need, grocery stores, a bakery, restaurants and bars that are popular with the people who live here. A great perk for guests who stay at Islamar is access to the PalMar beach club. Beaches aren't great in Cozumel, but the snorkelling and diving are fantastic, even snorkelling from shore. So while there are a number of access locations to the water in the area, there are very few places that offer a sandy spot to sit with beach chairs and umbrellas. And the few that do exist are pretty crowded. That's where the PalMar beach club really shines. It's located about 6 or 7 km from the apartment, a nice and easy bike ride away and there's all the amenities you could want. Beverages and snacks across the road from the sandy beach front where tables, chairs and loungers are available, and then you can have a leisurely swim and snorkel right there. We've been snorkelling in several locations in the Caribbean, but nothing even comes close to this. I doubt you'd have a better experience on a boat excursion out to deeper waters. Sherri is a wonderful hostess, and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They were available to answer questions and help, yet we felt completely free and comfortable and never felt crowded or surveilled. They even helped arrange bike and car rentals for us. There were several services provided that exceeded anything we experienced at other rentals, namely cleaning every second day, our sheets were changed 3 times over the course of the week and there was always an abundance of towels available. I've not had that level of service at other apartment rentals before. A small suggestion that might be a great addition to the comforts would be to have a small supply of kitchen linens (a couple dish clothes and towels), some dish washing liquid and perhaps a bit of plastic wrap or aluminum foil. These are supplies that I've had available at other apartment rentals and they made things quite convenient.
