I wanted an alternative to the pricey and peoplely all-inclusives on the island of Cozumel, which is my favourite Mexican location due to its small uncomplicated airport and close proximity of a variety of beaches. Alicia's turned out to be a wonderful choice for my needs for a quiet retreat in a smaller more personal accommodation. I basically know very...

We had a great experience. Alicia greeted us when we arrived, and gave us some tips on where to go, what to see, and where to eat. The property is very cute, and more importantly, clean. Our room was perfect with a nice sized bed, a refrigerator, air conditioning, and a clean bathroom with hot water, and great water pressure...

I was a little nervous to stay here --mainly because of the price. I thought $42/night with breakfast might be too good to believe. But I am glad I read the TripAdvisor reviews and gave it a try! We actually had 2 rooms, one in the main house for the kids and one across the patio for us. This was...

This is not for your typical tourist....It is not fancy!....but it is spotlessly clean and safe, the owners are wonderful and the lovely puppy that sleeps by the front gate is a sweetheart by the name of Canela (Cinnamon!) Mayan breakfast by Chuco! Alicia is a great hostess....The room was simple but nice....the neighborhood is NOT in the tourist zona...

My wife and I spent a month at the guest house. It is located about a mile from the busy tourist areas in the city. We arrived via taxi and were greeted at the gate by Alicia and of course the ever vigilant watch dog Apache. We were shown to our room at the back of the property. Comfy bed,...

My fiancé and I stayed at Alicia's for 3 nights in Feb. We were met at the front gate by Alicia and her sweet dog Apache and welcomed in to her home. We were shown to our room which was very clean (as was the entire home). We were shown around the house, the patio areas and introduced to Chuco...

Great location, with restaurants, grocery store and bakery within walking distance and even better on a bike! You can zip downtown in 10 minutes or bike to one of the beach clubs - excellent way to explore the island! Loved it! Very clean, with a comfy bed and great hosts! We enjoyed chatting with our neighbours and Alicia while eating...

We booked four of the five rooms for our scuba friends over Christmas and New Year and had a great time. The house is far away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area yet easily reached by inexpensive taxis. We had a very friendly welcome and our hosts made certain our stay was comfortable. We would love to...

I really enjoyed staying at Alicia's B&B. I was there for 3 weeks at the end of Feb to the beginning of March. Alicia and Chuco were very good at giving one the lay of the land. There is a big grocery store that is very close by if you need some groceries. The local restaurants are reasonable and tasty....

Your authentic Mayan breakfast will be prepared by your Mayan host, Chuco, at your request between 6:30 (perfect to catch that early dive) and 9:30 (great if you're the party-late and sleep in person). Breakfast varies from a delicious Mayan egg dish or omelets to fresh empanadas from a local vendor. We can also accomodate many other requests, such as...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Alicia's Bed and Breakfast is located in the middle of San Miguel on the island of Cozumel. We are located in a neighborhood that has many restaurants, stores including Sam's Club a few blocks away. Wal-Mart or the Mex. version is there as well. Chuco cooks a fresh breakfast everyday which includes fruits in season and a full breakfast which includes egg dishes, and waffles, french toast, and some local favorites. We have a dog that loves guests but keeps out non-guests. There is a biological park located about 5 blocks away. We are handy to any beaches either on the east or west side. Chuco and Orlando are both very good at answering any dive guestions. Orlando is a dive master and knows all the great places to dive. Chuco was a dive captain for many years. ... more   less
