I have been diving in Cozumel for over 20 years and have stayed at multiple properties including the Fiesta American, Cozumel Hotel and Resorts (under a variety of names), Casa del Mar, Plaza las Glorias (no longer under that name) and Hotel Barracuda. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. Village Tan Kah's strength is the people involved. Roberta is charming... More

Thanks so much Dr Will. We are glad that you had a great time and hope that you will return soon! Just let us know when you arrive that you would like to have a rinse bucket for your camera and we will insure that you have it since the first day of diving. More

Village Tan Kah is a great place to stay if you are diving. Right across the street from the scuba shack. The rooms are clean and spacious with great air conditioning. Can't beat the price and diving.

Excellent little resort near the Southern edge of San Miguel. You can't beat the value of this resort. Coupled with the optional dive packages, this is a Diver's dream location. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Within walking distance to main square (30min?) or take a taxi that frequently cruise the main road. A light breakfast of fresh fruit,... More

We go to this resort at least once a year (since 1990) as a couple and with friends. Since we go back and back and back I think that says a lot for how much we enjoy this location, the staff, the diving, the breakfast, the hotel, the friendships we have made, and the guidance we receive from Roberta, the... This was my first trip to Mexico, and I'm so glad we stayed here. It's a cozy place nestled in between two big resorts, you can barely see the entrance unless you know what you're looking for. From the map it looks like you're on a busy street but it's easy to cross during most times of the day. We... More

We spent an excellent week in Cozumel at Roberta’s Village Tan Kan and diving with her Eco-Dive Cozumel operation. The Village is an older, quaint, clean, and charming hotel. Roberta’s Scuba Shack is just across the street. The Shack has a well maintained stock of rental gear, knowledgeable staff, and a secure walk in dive locker where you can hang... More

This quaint little hotel is associated with Roberta's Scuba Shack across the street. So convenient and easy to make those morning dives, air out your scuba stuff and to run back if you have forgotten something. The night watch man, Victor is there and on duty, if you need to know something at night too. Roberta, the owner arranged for... More

This quaint motel is nestled between Casa Del Mar hotel and the Park Royal hotel It's across the street from The Scuba Shack and is just a short taxi ride from downtown. It's clean, quiet and comfortable with hammocks for relaxing in after a day spent diving. It's a small motel with only about 8 to 10 rooms. We there... More

Good location for diving--right across the street. It's a little bit of a walk to the main drag but a peaceful and well taken one with plenty of neat places to visit along the way. This is a hotel that is wonderful to visit where you can detach from the world and just relax. Will stay herre again when I... More

The Village Tan Kah and associated dive operations Scuba Shack, Blue Bubble Divers and Roberta's Dive Eco-Cozumel provides a small, family style, full service dive resort nestled between Casa del Mar and the Park Royal. There are a dozen or so rooms spread among 6 or so building within a "wooded" oasis. The rooms are large, generally well designed and... More
