All oceanfront rooms, each with patio or private balcony for you to enjoy the beautiful sunsets or you can relax under the palapas on the ocean or around the fresh water pool. Friendly/helpful staff - on-site restaurant where food is freshly prepared and you can get a quick snack or full meal - on-site full service dive shop and scuba school. This is a smaller, more intimate hotel. The staff will know your name and you will know theirs after a few days. We like it this way and we will never change that.

Wife and I started at Cozumel Palace for a 7 day family get together and then after seeing everyone off decided to stay 2 more days. We made a huge mistake and got 2 rooms at Hotel Cozumel but in its defense it's perfect for people on a strict budget so I'll leave that at that. We visited BA this morning before our departure back to Virusville USA and the stupid panacea. We asked to see a room and a random one that was open was showed to us. It was super quaint and immediately reminded my wife and I of our first visit to Roatan. This place is so quiet and serene. Yes it's on the main road but ALL the rooms FACE the ocean so you're great with a noisemaker or you're a rock solid sleeper. We met the resident cat and went to the restaurant for breakfast drinks which were fantastic... use pesos... and watched old weathered women swimming to stay fit out in their protected estuary. It was a great view and the staff was beyond pleasant. We asked a couple near us about the hot water issue and they said all we did was leave the hot water running for a while and it got boiling hot. Maybe that's the issue with all the hot water problems. Seems very chill and perfect with just 22 rooms. Eva has done a great job. We are coming back in a couple of months...or weeks if this viral thing turns into ridiculousness.

Blue Angel South ( Turquoise) has the Red Eye Band playing Wed and Sun nights. Great food, sunsets and music. I highly recommend a night there. Please enjoy the music and food. The nachos is enough to feed four people.

We stayed here one night before we left Cozumel. This resort is a nice break from the all inclusive resorts. There are not many rooms and they all have a great view of the sea. There is no beach but there is a pool and beautiful area with plenty of chairs and hammocks. The people that work here are wonderful and will help you in any way they can. Most of the guests are divers and from what I hear they all are pleased with the diving.

Fabulous local appies and drinks paired with a beautiful ocean/sunset view. A small venue for the restaurant area but worth waiting if you need to. One of our friends actually suffered a cardiac arrest while snorkeling in the water outside this hotel and it was their staff who performed CPR on him until the ambulance arrived. They saved his life so every time we visit Cozumel we go back to the Blue Angel to visit and thank them. This is a special place for a few reasons 😇

Hello. This is Eva. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to write a review. The person you mentioned was Darren Cosentino. Darren traveled to Blue Angel to celebrate the end of a chemo treatment with his wife Sara. Th datay was on 06 December 2013. They had hoped to scuba dive, but Darren knew his limitations after his medical treatments and decided to snorkel instead. He went into cardiac arrest in the water. The person who performed the CPR and surely saved his life was Juan Pablo Maturano. Darren miraculously survived to live a few more years and even visited Blue Angel again. It was an emotional visit. I will never forgot our last conversation. He told me how much the visit back to us meant to him. He passed in May of 2016. His wife Sara,( one of the strongest women I have ever met), and Darren collaborated on a book "You Can't See My Scars.", the incident you mentioned is in the book. After Darren passed, Sara returned again to Blue Angel to give me a signed copy of the Book which I will always treasure. One of the benefits of owning a small hotel is that people are more open to meet and become friends with new people than a larger place. I have met so many wonderful people and I am so glad I got to meet the Cosentinos. I know this is really not about the drinks and appies but I wanted you to know Darren's history as you were there that fateful day. I am so lucky to have a place where people gather and meet over a meal and a few drinks. I am so happy that you enjoy yourself at Blue Angel. Thank you again, Eva Kristine Rasmussen

I spent 3 nights as a solo visitor. I felt completely safe in my spacious and clean room with a gorgeous view!!!! The pool area is right on the water with plenty of places to lounge in the sun or shade. Watching the boat activity was as fun as snorkeling (no charge to use equipment) right in front of the property. The restaurant has the sweetest servers and delicious meals; complimentary breakfast, too. There was a guitarist playing in the restaurant each evening. It was soft, lovely music to enjoy over dinner and a lovely view of the water. The only noise I heard was the traffic passing by in the morning. It was very quiet at night. I like the fact that it’s a mile or so away from the cruise centers. The walk into the town center is easy. I definitely want to come back here with my family and friends.

Hello. This is Eva. I wanted to thank you for the lovely review . I was especially happy that you mentioned being a solo traveler. I, myself, travel on my own quite a bit, and I am so happy to hear that we made you feel comfortable and safe. I find having a smaller establishment, that people are more apt to reach out and say hi and introduce themselves, I hope that I have a chance to meet you next time you come to visit. Until then....
