In all my travels across Central and South America, this is one of my favourite hostels. Clean, friendly, quiet and a fantastic pool. It's not a party hostel and is a bit out of the way, but in a proper authentic part of town. It's a great place to chill out for a couple of days. Kathy who runs it...

As my title says...it is a very tidy, clean and comfortable hostel..... i couldn't ask for anything more. The lady who runs it sets the rules and you follow them which is why it's a well run nice hostel.

I spent such a great week at Amigos hostel! Kathy is a wonderful host, providing excellent information about local food, activities, directions... as the hostel is situated uptown, it is surrounded by delicious and cheap local restaurants, away from the tourists. The garden is absolutely wonderful, with its hosts such as iguanas and hummingbirds, the swimming pool is just perfect...

Kathy, the owner has been living in Cozumel for more than 20 years, but she's originally from Cancun. It's a great place to hang out, relax and meet people due to the hostel's relatively small size (approx. 20 people) so many hang out and simply chat during the evenings. The location is in a local neighbourhood, conveniently away from the...

We stayed both in the dorm and in the private room during our week there. It's clean, well maintained and there's always nice travellers around, open for a conversation, a common cooking or a beer in the wonderful garden area. The friendly owner Kathy helps you in any questions, so enjoy!

Stayed for four nights in dorm beds as a couple. Wasn't high season but about 8 other people in hostel initially. Dorm room very clean and serviced daily. Hot water showers, AC in room which Is switched on overnight and ceiling fans. Fans were a little high and when asked immediately turned off no problem. Nice garden and pool lots...

Very pleasant place to stay, chill out! Little bit far from the town centre, but in quiet part of the town, big garden (you can even taste the fruits!), you can relax in a shadow in a hamaka so as in a chair or in the pool, escape from heat...nice.

The was the cleanest hostel I've every stayed in. My friends and I stayed in the Avocado room with 3 single beds and private bathroom and a small kitchenette. Kathy was very knowable, her explanation and intro is a bit long. She runs a tight ship! Which in turn keeps the property clean and well carried for.
