We had a great time at the resort, food was good and pool area was nice. Everything was nice until we needed to solve an issue. We booked just the rooms for 3 nights, and decided to try lunch on the second day. We have a group of friends that said good things about lunch and dinner. After lunch I went to the front desk and asked about the all inclusive and how to upgrade. I also told her we had just had lunch and if we upgraded that day lunch would be part of the all inclusive and she said yes. So we upgraded for 2 days. When we did the check out the receipt had the bar and lunch from the first day and we didn’t pay attention and just paid and left. When we were in the ferry I realized we didn’t have lunch on the first day ( we got food from a different place and just had a couple drinks in the bar) and we called them to talk about it. The front desk told us to call again on Monday (we left on Saturday) to told to the manager about it. So we did today, after calling 3 times and talking to the manager all that they offer was a free lunch if we go back. He said the receipt was in the system for a few days and we couldn’t have a reimbursement. We called when we left and was told to call again in a few days. That’s such a frustrating solution, and even if is just $30 bucks it’s enough headache to not go back. I would love to make a 5starts review considering everything else that was just great, but this miscommunication + solution offered made us very upset and feeling like taken advantage off. My husband and I along with a scuba group have visited here many times. The service we receive is always top notch. Cornelio one of the employees here was fantastic and gave exceptional service to us. Mario at the drink and bar stand made the best fruit smoothies and always could give us a good laugh. The daily volleyball games were the best! We love visiting here and will definitely visit again.

1st the positive...Can’t say enough good things about the staff. They were friendly and trying their best to do what they could. Food and beverages were embarrassing. Eating the same exact menu two nights later after it wasn’t even good the 1st time. Watered down alcohol. Very disappointed!!!

We've stayed at the Hotel Cozumel and Resort 4 times in the last 18 months, for a little over a week each time. The staff is extremely friendly, and welcoming. We've seen much worse service at much more expensive Cozumel resorts, so you get the best service at the best price here. We've done both the European and American plan options. I would say the all-inclusive option is worth the extra, even for a non-drinker. On nights where dinner is a buffet, the food was good, but not great. On the nights where it's table service, it's truly excellent. The lunch table service pool side was really nice. The rooms are nice,and housekeeping service is always excellent. The ease of diving from this hotel is what makes it perfect. Whatever operator you use, you get picked up at the Hotel Cozumel dock, and there are excellent rinse facilities to take care of your gear after diving. The facilities are all great, but it's the fantastic staff that keeps us returning.

Dingy rooms, dated and buffet was not great, no shaded areas to get out of the hot sun. Good drinks, good food off the menu. Close to town. Nice friendly staff. Just needs some updated rooms and common areas.Aybe some different buffet options

Really enjoyed our dive trip to Cozumel. This hotel was recommended by Stacy at Funjet vacations. It didn’t disappoint. Great location and is close to town. This is not a five star resort but we didn’t expect that going in. Very accommodating and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Thoroughly cleaned every day. Great pool area with a separate private beach area on the ocean side of the highway. The main hotel is not on the beach but it has a restaurant, dock, bar and private beach on the ocean side. Just a short walk through the tunnel or cross the road to the beach. Paradise Divers is right there. Even if you don’t dive with Paradise, there is a rinsing tank and gear lockers available. Very nice breakfast buffet served every morning. Opened early so we divers with early dive departures could get fresh hot coffee and good eats before we left. We came back from diving to a hearty lunch buffet. Tons of divers use this hotel for good reason. Would definitely go back here again.

The Good Pool area and seaside man made beach were nice. Snorkelling in front of hotel was ok (saw a ray and variety of fish). Breakfast buffet was good and bed was comfortable. Location suited me fine with a 20 minute walk to town and 2 dive operators across the road. The Not so Good The biggest complaint was the lunch and dinner. I tried two lunches and one dinner and finally gave up. Soggy fries, burrito with no fillings and pizza with no toppings. Would’ve been nice to have a dine in option for a 10 day stay. The bathroom is also in desperate need of a renovation. The traps have no covering (sink or shower) so don’t drop anything or it’s gone. The traps and floor drain also stunk the room up. The place has potential with improved food and a bit of maintenance in the washroom. It was priced accordingly so as a budget stay it’s acceptable. Don’t expect luxury resort living.

Hotel was very convenient for divers, and a great location on the island. The food could be better, limited good options for vegetarians. However, the staff at the pool and ocean were great wnd very helpful (Sylvia was excellent and then bartender at the oceanside made great drinks)

I would never stay here again after my 10 night stay over the Halloween Holiday. Yes, 95% of the employees on direct contact service are so nice! I tipped great and Thank You again to the Whole Staff, including Daniel, Rudy, Christian, Amado and the whole non-management Staff My Mom taught me, if you can't say anything good, then don't say anything at all. This is my best effort at that. Thank You. The front desk staff and especially the Manager ar weak. Upon trying to check out, I discovered I lost my CC. I had paid the bill 100% ahead of time. But I only had about $18 to get to the local airport then to Hou then Tampa out of parking, fees etc and uber to Sarasota. Im age 64 and it really shook me up with anxiety...I had some tears. Then... the very rude tall MGR man said I owed $22 for overpriced bottle watter that was delivered in my room. Last time I check, guest here have a right for clean bottle water in their room. I kindly asked him if he could waive the overpriced water so that I could use my. $18 for taxi to local airport. He said hell no and started to get beligerent with me.....even tho I promised to send him whatever amount he was going to screw me on. I spoke clearly , didnt yell.. asking w tears of anxiety in my eyes...and still Mr X had NO compassion and told me he was going to call police over some overpriced $22 water !! The old owners had it figured out obout how Relationships.work in long run....not saving 22$ then running off this local referral partner who brout at least 10 other guest who stayed multiple nights and spent lots of money here Plus great Tips! The same week! No never to return! Wonder how many thousands of dollars that little $22 and how many future lost rooms were caused by that hapless Front Desk Mgr cost the new fancy brand name Wyndam because oh his unprofessional mocho response? Thousands of lost potential guests.....just quietly never seem to reserve a room and check in. XXXX:: This was suppossedly elevated to top mngt but since they didnt even apologize to me, that shows things were broke back then. Beautiful property....maybe better Training and Mngt Accountability have been implemented???? So I borrowed about 10$ from a person feeli g sorry for me. Sad Sad group unless they haved changed significantly. Food had gone downhill too.
