Me and my girlfriend had a great time at the pool and quickly realized what $1 can get you at the bar. YES, we got sick of the food so we rented a Jeep and went into town and to an awesome tequila tour. There's a lobster place that's walking distance as an option, too. Go on the sunset tour!... More

We were there with 2 other couples and we had a great time. We were told there were only 57 people there total so it was pretty quite. The food is what you can expect for an all inclusive. Breakfast was fine but since it wasn’t very busy lunch was ordered off of a limited menu and was fine. The... More

We have just returned from 15 days in Cozumel and what a wonderful stay we had at the Elcozumeleno. We have been going there for years at this time because it is the slow time of year, but this year the occupancy was extremely low. There were a few days that only 10 rooms out of the 273 at this... I'll go ahead and reiterate what most posters have already said-although the food may sometimes be mildly less than spectacular, the staff and service will blow you away. I truly can't say enough about them, all of them. They will make your stay worthwhile. Additionally, they have a beautiful beach with fantastic snorkel and diving areas, had an awesome view... More

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon Sept 14-20. We really enjoyed our stay overall. Very clean resort, top notch customer service, and plenty of activities to keep busy. El Cozumeleno took great care of us. The time we were there the hotel was only about 15% full...so basically very quiet and low key. Two things that could... More

I only gave this hotel an average because I'd really like to see them stay in business. This was probably the worst food I have ever eaten in public. In the past, the fruits and vegetables in Mexico were awesome. Not at this place. The watermelon was mealy and watery, no mangos or bananas, no fresh vegetables. Who could possibly... More

This was my 5th time back to Cozumel, my first time at ElCoz - and this is my favorite place to date! I visited with 5 other friends and we all had a great time. The best feature of this hotel is the beach. The beach is very clean, beautiful sand, excellent views, and best of all, amazing snorkeling just... More

I stayed for 4 nights with a buddy and while we were not expecting much in the way of food I was still disappointed. The food was at best acceptable but the selection for lunch the first few days was very limited and no buffet. The draft beer was served in small cups and had crap floating in it (I... More

My husband and I stayed at the El Cozumeleno in September for 7 nights. We had a wonderful time. We went during the slow season so keep that in mind when reading this review. Only 18% of the resort was occupied. You should visit Cozumel even if you don't choose this hotel...the island is gorgeous!! SERVICE: Awesomel!!! The staff was... More

We've stayed at the Melia and went by the resorts down the island (mostly by boat), and the El Coz's beach/pool combo was the best we saw. It's odd looking back that I rated everything 5 star but one, however I couldn't give the overall a 5 star. Lack of activities was the main flaw of the resort. Our first... More
