This was our first time at Fiesta Americana. Very impressed with their commitment to guest safety. Every employee was wearing a mask and a shield. I bit of overkill if you ask me, but it made people feel safe so that was appreciated. The room was fantastic and the mini bar was re-stocked every night. Every room (except the first floor) has an ocean view with patio furniture for a coffee in the morning or a drink at the end of the day. The restaurants are spacious and clean. The only problem is you have to make a reservation every day. The food is good and there are plenty of options. I am not sure how kid-friendly the menu is. I didn’t see any grilled cheese, chicken tenders or macaroni and cheese on the menu, but I am sure each chef would accommodate special requests. The main reason for our trip was to dive. The hotel has a pier but that is where their commitment to diving ends. There are no lockers, showers, or rinse tanks. You will have to lug your gear across the sand, across the street and all the way up to your room. This hotel is not diver friendly!!!! The major downside of this trip occurred upon our arrival. We were greeted warmly and asked relax with a welcome drink because they could only check in one person at a time due to Covid. What a streak of luck because as we were being held hostage, they pressured us for a meeting with their “vacation club” representative. After waiting 30 minutes I would have agreed to just about anything just so we could check in. What a colossal mistake! A high-pressure time share sales presentation followed. Yea, I came on vacation so I could impulsively commit to $17k initial investment + $1200 annual maintenance! Long story short; great hotel with better than average food. Not diver friendly. Say no to the vacation club! The free 25 minute massage is NOT worth the 90 minutes of high pressure sales.

We stayed at Fiesta Americana for 5 days and had a marvelous time! The hotel room is basic but it has all the essentials. It is clean which is most important to me. Anyway, we only stayed in our room to wash up and sleep. They provided everyday cleaning to ensure that the whole hotel stayed covid free, considering that all tourists came from different parts of the world! Regarding Covid, they take this pandemic seriously. Mask is mandatory except when eating or in your own beach cabana. They have hand sanitizers everywhere. And they clean all surfaces on a regular basis. I felt safe here. And the hotel is not crowded so it is easy to social distance. The food is great! And they have enough variety to choose from. However, the Asian cuisine is a little weird. This is not particular to this hotel. I think anywhere in Mexico, Asian food is a little off. Well, why pick Asian food when there’s plenty of Mexican and grill choices. I ate fish everyday and loved it. Ask for the habanero sauce to go with your food. It adds that spunk to omelette, steak, tacos and even fried fish! Yum! Save the best for last! The service is impeccable! Attention to detail is excellent. Everyone is really doing their best to keep the tourism economy going in Cozumel as that is the only source of income for most of them. They remember how you like your drink from ordering it the day before. Our servers Arturo, Manuel, Luis, Gabriel, Isabel, Lidia, Oscar, Adid are the best! They serve you with a smile. They even do things beyond their role as servers. I asked one of the waiters where I can get beach towels. Instead of him, telling me to go back to the poolside, he took care of it and got the towels for me! Great service! If you plan to have a massage, ask for Jasmine! Oh my, she is great! She gave me my much needed massage! I’m telling you, everyone in this hotel is great! Go and book your stay!

Had a great trip here in early August 2020. first trip out of country after Covid and was a great experience. We were greeted at the hotel with a shoe dip and a spray of antibacterial on the hands . All the employees had masks . Every employee there was very courteous and very helpful. There were a few people on the property but not overwhelming. We were diving and being picked up at the dock so breakfast across the street worked out very well. Even though we didn't dive with the onsite shop, they kept our gear at their shop and rinsed it down for us after our dives. The food was very good especially for lunch at the ceviche place for ceviche and shrimp and fish taco's. All of the dinner restaurants were good but especially liked the asian and the italian. The little sushi shop was fabulous. Anyway you had your fish, it was cooked to perfection in any of the restaurants. HOT Tip: you have to make dinner reservations in the morning if you want to get a specific time for dinner. Only disappointment was that I had read reviews about paddleboarding and other activities that you could do there and it was only for the Explorean guests. You couldn't even rent them for a price. I was told I would have to go down to town to rent a paddleboard. Also the lifeguard "caught" me swimming off the shore without a life vest. I quess they have rules but it's hard to get any exercise with a life vest. Maybe if I had been on a paddleboard I wouldn't have minded wearing a lifevest....just sayin!

Vacationed in Cozumel. This place was exactly what we needed. The attention and help we received from Miguel as we arrived and through our stay was great! Jorge and Edgar (Batman and Robin), bar tenders in main lobby, made the experience exceptional! They were so friendly and attentive to us! They knew exactly what we needed and made our stay so fun! Easy to talk to and even under pressure they handled themselves with great respect and were always happy to help! These guys really made a difference. They need to be told they make a great difference for the guests as we walk in/out of resort and while hanging out in the pool or lobby. Great job guys! Hope to see you guys again soon, We will be back!

Overall wonderful vacation. Beautiful resort with excellent service & outstanding food. The bar by the pool had a very friendly bartender, named Henry, with quick service. Everyone of the Grille staff employees were top notch. Especially Arturo, Catalina, Gabriel, Manuel, Luis, Isabel & Jorge. They were extremely friendly & precise. The entire staff at the resort go above & beyond to take good take of you & to make your trip memorable.
