Just returned from a weeks stay at the Fiesta. I’ll keep my review short. Resort is average, food is good not great but does get monotonous, the Italian is the best restaurant, the staff is wonderful especially Gabriel and Miguel. The rooms are good size and the AC is cold. The beach area is closed right now for noncompliance reasons so if you’re traveling soon I would look into this. I would stay here again but only if I was able to get a great price again.

We visited the Fiesta Americana in Cozumel for the second time in May. We went back because we so much enjoyed it the first time. We still like the resort and will probably return again. This review though, is going to be about one specific event that occurred during our stay and how it was handled. Walking down one of the several ramps in the main area of the resort on the way to breakfast on our last full day, I slipped and was injured. The ramp was wet and there was a caution cone warning of the wet ramp. The ramp in question however, unlike every other ramp in the place as far as I can tell, did not have anti-slip tape on it. I know the resort reads these reviews and hope they will consider this a public request that they correct that omission immediately. Maybe they've even done so already. It's quite possible I would not have been injured had that tape been there, and that I would not now be two weeks post-surgery for a ruptured tendon, and not now be looking forward to a summer of physical therapy. The staff did mostly show concern when I was injured and, among other things, got me an ambulance. I won't review the medical care available in Cozumel (where I was misdiagnosed with a sprain) but I do have one more suggestion. While on the ground in pain and unsure what I had done, I was repeatedly presented with a "waiver of liability" form and told I was "required" to sign it by a member of the staff. The fall was an accident, partially my fault and forgiven. The form and the repeated, aggressive and frankly dishonest (I was under no obligation whatsoever to sign the damn thing) way it was presented in those circumstances was offensive. There's no excuse for that behavior and I hope they discontinue it in the future.

We enjoyed this vacation. It was our first visit to Cozumel and it was a more laid back, quieter vacation then Cancun. My daughter would have liked more interaction between the staff especially around the pool, compared to other resorts we have been to there was basically none.

We really enjoyed the Fiesta Americana Cozumel all inclusive. The staff were very friendly, barista Isabel Espinosa made us coffees with a smile every morning. (Smiling eyes as we all wear make these days 😂) The rooms were comfortable and clean, the resort was kept very clean and tidy, we liked the gym and the spa, and lots of food options. It was not opulent luxury but very nice and great value for the cost. We will be returning as it is a new favorite destination. The water is stunning and plenty of activities for adults and children. There is very nice snorkeling right at the hotel’s deck. There is no white sandy beach at this property but the cabanas and beach beds made that no issue for me. If anything it was more chic.
