Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, including festive events like St. Patrick's Day celebrations, although the music selection sometimes falls short for guests. While the staff's warmth and the picturesque views are highlights, visitors have expressed disappointment with the upkeep of the pool and beach facilities. The hotel's prime location garners appreciation, nestled perfectly between tranquillity and local attractions. However, issues such as room mustiness and the presence of bugs detract from the comfort of the well-appointed rooms. Despite commendations for cleanliness in restaurants and rooms, some guests point out that the value is diminished by additional costs and maintenance concerns, particularly around the pool area.

Great place to stay. Beware or the pool, floor is broken and dangerous for injuries. Pool doesnt seem very clean either. All services were good. Great staff and cleanliness. Some problems with reservations for dinner, but we had other easy options.

I was a bit nervous to travel given the pandemic. I was put at ease at arrival as The entire staff and property went above and beyond in following proper guidelines for safety and health of the guests and staff all while assuring we enjoyed our vacation.
When we arrived we were greeted with hand sanitizer, food sanitation, and had our temperatures taken along with bags sprayed with sanitizer. Every staff member wore a mask and a face shield. Social distancing markers were placed where necessary. Our room was nicely appointed and had been sanitized. All this while being inviting. We wore masks when walking through lobby and going to restaurants and took them off at beach, pool and while dining. We choose not to have room cleaned daily as I brought my own cleaners . When we did have sheets changed a fully covered person sanitized room first before maid came in and changed beds.

We were on 6th floor with a beautiful ocean front view. Beds were comfortable and room had lots of storage with 2 closets plus drawers. Mini fridge had assortment of soda, beer and plenty of bottled water.
The bathroom area was a good size.
Ask for a hair dryer if you need one.

The location is perfect for divers, out of main part of town and close to dive sites. Most people there were divers and used various dive operators who picked them up from a very accessible pier. There is a beachfront area with plenty of umbrellas, lounges and beach beds. The restaurants on the beach were great - breakfast and lunch served there. There are no buffets but you can pretty much order a la Carte what you would like. A QR code is provided to see the menu. The staff again is following all precautions- masks and face shields with service adjustments. The food is excellent. Manuel was great along with the entire waitstaff.
The other restaurants do require reservations but there is no need for long pants for men as is needed at other locations. There are 3 choices, Mexican, Italian and Asian. All delicious. See photos.

Overall we really enjoyed the hotel, the food, the ocean and Cozumel. Please note it is very quiet as the cruise ships are not there and many stores and businesses are closed. Please be patient and understanding as they are working hard take care of you and make sure you enjoy yourself and are safe.

Just back from a week at this AI . Wish I was still there .
The good/very good - Great staff , big rooms , easy snorkeling with lots of colorful fish right off the resort dock with lots of seating at the ocean and the pool areas . A dozen beach beds by the ocean which were amazing if you could snare one .Buffet breakfasts and lunch at the taco/fish bar are good as are the bar staff . We enjoyed the location south of town with taxi's available for 120 Pesos into San Miguel . The coffee bar was nice .

The so so was an issue checking in where the offered upgrade was no upgrade so we moved back to the original room . The dinners were ok with the vaguest approximation of Italian and Asian cuisines at the specialty restaurants . Not horrible .Three poor English TV channels . They WILL try to sell you some sort of time share program and excursions but there was no problem saying no .

We would return but check out Explorean a sister resort of bungalows behind the Fiesta. Access to the same facilities plus a (reportedly) very good restaurant and a daily free excursion are the pluses . No ocean views and walking through Fiesta to get to the ocean and restaurants are the minuses .

This is our 3rd visit & will return next year. Love the feel of this resort, smaller & not crowded. 15 minute taxi ride from the airport & costs $20.00. The rooms are large & every room has an outdoor patio that faces the ocean. 3rd floor & above have breathtaking views. Resort is clean & updates/upgrades were noticeable from last year. We keep returning for the beds that cantilever out over the ocean. Laying over the ocean & then jumping in off the beds is the best way to vacation! There really is no beach area, so I would not recommend this resort for young children, unless you are strictly pool people. The food is good but the fish tacos on the beach, the best! We ate there everyday. We have been to many all inclusives and sometimes getting a drink on the beach is impossible, here they serve you on the beach, Samuel really is friendly & enjoys his duties, even offering to bring back food for us. Aaron has been at FA many years & was always ready to check on our drinks. Jose and Yara at the cevicheria were the best, always ready to serve us with a smile & even came to let us know when we had a day too windy on the beach that they moved inside. Cynthia Marie in housekeeping did a great job & we appreciated her little gifts of blooms on the bed or in the vase. We use room service, always within 30 minutes. We do not leave the resort, we are here to relax & reconnect. Tipping is much appreciated & we hope everyone would tip, but not required to get service. See you next year!

We went for our annual anniversary and picked Fiesta Americana after reading some mixed reviews. We never stayed at a 3 1/2 star hotel and we are hesitant at first. There was no need for that! We reserved an oceanfront view and were pleasantly surprised when Abigail , at the front desk, surprised us with a room upgrade. We had enough space to close the door and let our toddler go to sleep before us every night. All of the rooms are spacious and I would advise paying a little extra for ocean view from the Time you make a reservation. It was well worth it to wake up to those gorgeous blue waters every day and see the sunset sky while getting ready for dinner every night. Dinner; Jose made the most amazing lobster and fillet mignon specialty dinner for us. But I have to say, every morning and afternoon we were also pleasantly surprised with the food. Compared to other, much more expensive resorts we’ve been to, this was good, fresh, and well presented. We never waited for dinner at the specialty restaurants either. Luis and the team at the breakfast restaurant were extremely accommodating. The ceviche bar is all that and more. We spent part of the day at the pool which was equally accessible for adults who wanted to drink at the swim up bar and families like us who wanted to play in the shallow end with the babies and toys. Everyone was happy. We usually spent the second part of the day at a cabana on the beach, which was free to first come. That was something we are used to paying extra for and it was a wonderful Detail that they have gotten just right. And you can have as many or as few towels as you want with no annoying issues with cards and limits. Jesus at the lifeguard stand was always ready with a smile for our toddler. Glendy and Jose always had a table ready with our high chair ceviche order!
The thing that stood out as our only real complaint, was the ability to use the kayaks and standup paddleboard‘s. You can’t rent them. You must do the Tour for their timeshare property in order to use it.
Other than that, enjoy feeding the fish at the pier and later, having some of the best snorkeling on the island right at your doorstep.
My husband went scuba diving on the days when he wasn’t kite surfing on different parts of the island. It was an oceanic playground for all of us. Oh, and the parking is free and easy which is also very good if you are the traveling type.

This was our first time in Cozumel and staying at Fiesta Americana. This resort is beautiful and modern! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. I wish I had the shower in my own home! They have taken all the necessary precautions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All staff wear shields and face masks, rooms are disinfected and cleaned daily, and hand sanitizing and social distancing practices are priority upon arrival and entering pool, restaurant and bar areas. You could tell the importance of safety for each guest and staff member was well thought out.

There is a great variety of food options and restaurant choices. Everything we ate was delicious! My favorite was the fish tacos and guacamole from The Grill and my husband could not get enough of the seafood Pad Thai from Peninsula.

Cozumel itself is an actual paradise. We snorkeled every day in the clearest water. The sea life is unimaginable and it's just feet from your beach towel. We did an excursion and got the opportunity to snorkel Palancar and El Cielo that Cozumel is famous for. It was incredible to experience these sites!

But all of this would be nothing if it wasn't for their amazing staff. Arturo, Catalina, Isabel, Jorge, Aaron, Gabriel, Manuel, Oscar, Luis, Lidia, Juan, Henry, Samuel, Armando made this trip for us. Their hospitality, kindness, and service were top notch. We traveled with a group of 13 people and they made sure we were taken care of. We ended up scheduling a sunset dinner on the beach for our last night to celebrate multiple anniversaries. Special compliments to the chefs Mario, Leydi, Anahi who prepared the delicious meal. These folks are the reason why we are planning our visit back to Fiesta Americana.

Had a great trip here in early August 2020. first trip out of country after Covid and was a great experience. We were greeted at the hotel with a shoe dip and a spray of antibacterial on the hands . All the employees had masks . Every employee there was very courteous and very helpful. There were a few people on the property but not overwhelming. We were diving and being picked up at the dock so breakfast across the street worked out very well. Even though we didn't dive with the onsite shop, they kept our gear at their shop and rinsed it down for us after our dives.
The food was very good especially for lunch at the ceviche place for ceviche and shrimp and fish taco's. All of the dinner restaurants were good but especially liked the asian and the italian. The little sushi shop was fabulous. Anyway you had your fish, it was cooked to perfection in any of the restaurants. HOT Tip: you have to make dinner reservations in the morning if you want to get a specific time for dinner.
Only disappointment was that I had read reviews about paddleboarding and other activities that you could do there and it was only for the Explorean guests. You couldn't even rent them for a price. I was told I would have to go down to town to rent a paddleboard. Also the lifeguard "caught" me swimming off the shore without a life vest. I quess they have rules but it's hard to get any exercise with a life vest. Maybe if I had been on a paddleboard I wouldn't have minded wearing a lifevest....just sayin!

We're not time share residents, but we've been staying at the Fiesta Americana Cozumel twice a year since 2004. Good, safe food is our highest priority when staying in Mexico. We had too many bad stomach experiences at other resorts prior to finding the Fiesta Americana. The cold buffet foods are in refrigerated cabinets so there's no spoiling in the heat. Unlike other resorts, I can always find lots of choices that I like at every meal. Every member of the dining staff treats us like we're special! Captain Luis and Hostess Catalina are always happy to see us, quick with a smile! The waiters Isabel, Salvador, Manuel Oscar and Carlos never let our coffee cups or water glasses sit empty. The specialty restaurants for dinner are excellent, too.

We are divers and always use Dive House. We wouldn't even consider going with another dive shop. Isabel runs a superior operation. You're in safe hands with their dive masters.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Housekeeping is always willing to accommodate any request with courtesy and a smile.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. But the resort isn't all it could be. Everyday we walked into our room what would be missing: towels, water, shampoo, coffee. Then we found out the k-cups for your room coffee machine were $3 EACH, that price isn't listed anywhere. The harassment to join their vacation club is tiring. Loud, pounding music starts at 8pm and ends between midnite and 3am. If you get a room facing the pool be ready to turn your TV on high so you can hear it over the festivities. Forget about it if you're trying to get kids to sleep. The snorkeling is nice, there are colorful fish at the seawall. I know I won't be back.

I love this resort! I am a Hilton Grand Vacations owner & a travel agent. This is my 3rd visit to Fiesta Americana Cozumel. It never disappoints. The staff goes above and beyond from the moment you arrive. Jorge Duran the front desk manager assigned a wonderful 1 bedroom suite with an amazing terrace & sweeping ocean views. Arturo the Restaurant manager of the outdoor pavilion is soooo accommodating and the servers Manuel, Louis and the others are AMAZING!! the food is very good as well, nightly shows are entertaining. This resort feels like home! They are serious about keeping people safe with social distancing and they are disinfecting the rooms daily, constantly cleaning the common areas and have hand & foot sanitizing stations through out the property. We already planned out next vacation here for the summer!

Beach side is open and the restaurant. There is a bathroom that can be accessed through the restaurant (open dining) There is also a burger shack that was open when we were there. We did not have to pay the hotel to be picked up at the hotel dock, but the boat capt. charged a small fee $10 as I recall. Even if the hotel is not listed in the usual pick ups, call the vendor and they will accommodate you.
