We stay here 6 months during winters. Love these spacious villas with beautifully kept gated grounds and an exceptionally clean pool. Humming birds and wild parrots are abundant. Just a stones throw to the sea with stunning ocean sunsets from the balcony. Cecelia is very accommodating providing whatever you might need. As divers it is convenient to be within walking distance to Papa Hogs a fabulous dive shop and restaurant with their 6 pax fast boats. Villas Mayaluum is approximately a 20 minute walk south of town or <5 taxi. There are several places to eat within walking distance of Mayaluum.
We had a great stay here in March 2018. The condo was fully equipped and everything worked as expected. We had an amazing view from our patio of the ocean and the pool is fantastic. Plenty of restaurants close by make it very easy to not cook for two weeks. The grounds are well kept it was very quiet at night and extremely safe.
I wanted to try these condos because I had walked past them many times when in Cozumel . I usually stay at an all inclusive nearby. These condos are super quiet and very clean . It's a gated parking and they're are 5 restaurants nearby! I had a private scuba guide but Papa Hogs does a great job and just next door. The rooms are clean. Furniture is a bit outdated but still in good shape. They could replace their towels as getting old. Cooking utensils are not good either so we bought some new ones at Mega Mart . Pool was amazing . We bought some floating rafts too just to relax in the pool. Overall a great value for your money.
This was our second year in a row at Villas Mayaluum. We stayed for 10 days in early April. We were in the VERY spacious #11. This was even better then our experience last year. Villas Mayaluum is a self catering unit, so you need to be prepared to be fairly self sufficient. We had a nice washer and dryer so I didn't even bother to ask for any clean towels, I just washed them myself. Just make sure you have a translator app ready to go as the buttons are in Spanish of course. A trip to Mega will get you everything you need from toilet paper to chocolate cake...and at a very reasonable price. The condo is very quiet so we slept well. The upstairs of this unit was wonderful and again so much room! This is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit and the price is WAY under what you would pay for 3 hotel rooms. I will never stay in a hotel in Cozumel again (no offense to the fine hotels on the island). Cecilia is very friendly and nice to work with. There is a nice safe in each unit to keep your valuables. It is a bit of a hassle to haul a big water bottle up all the stairs, but worth the convenience. There is a guy that will exchange your empty bottle, but if you can do it yourself it is just easier. You can exchange right now the street at the OXXO. Luckily I had a teenager to haul heavy things! It is really best to have a car if you are here for a week or so. There are so many great places in Cozumel to drive to and visit and so many wonderful restaurants to eat dinner. I mourn for the all inclusive customers who miss out. There are not a lot of sandy beaches to speak of in Cozumel, however there is a great little place right across the street with a new dock and wonderful places to slip in and snorkel. We love to look at fish for awhile and then have a drink and maybe a bite to eat. I would recommend this way to vacation to everyone, I just hope there will be room for me at my next visit to Villas Mayaluum!…
All the comforts of home, but it is 80 degrees and SUNNY everday! Pool is cool, people are friendly and close to most everything you need and also everything you want. Short walk to dive shops and Oxxo (like 7-11) and a short drive to some great restaurants and MEGA (great store for most everything).
