Myself and two others traveled to Mexico, booking the Mysteries of the Mayans tour. We stayed in the Mayaland Hotel on the edge of the Chichen Itza park. The grounds of the hotel are very lovely. It is well maintained, except for one area which seemed to have a natural gas leak or sewage problem. Our room was very comfortable....

I prefer the bungalows that are booked through the Lodge at Chichen Itza as each grouping of bungalows has a pool, quiet, away from groups coming for lunch, and comfortably beautiful. The grounds that are shared with the Hotel & Bungalows Mayaland are beautiful, clean, attract butterflies and birds, and often one can stroll alone - making for a very...

Almost immediately after reading the reviews on this place, knew we were going to stay there. I honestly couldn't imagine staying anywhere else if you plan on seeing Chichen Itza, this place exceeded (by leaps and bounds) all expectations I had. This the original hotel built for "tourist" when Chichen Itza was discovered so it sits right on property. That...

We look forward to your return ! Come back with more time to enjoy the many wonders that surround us. This month we are introducing a new experience with our own vintage Land Rovers to visit areas in our vicinity not accesible otherwise. Lots to see, do and experience! Thanks for your wonderful comments on your visit. Hasta la vista...

We checked in without a hitch. You have to be able to climb stairs to stay in the main hotel as there is no elevator and that was not a problem for us. Our view was breathtaking of the Mayan Observatory. It is truly an international hotel and there were very few Americans there (that we saw) and many languages...

This hotel is Perfect! No complaints. Staff was wonderful!!! 5 star from the time you drive up until you check out. We utilized the spa two days in a row, sweet talented ladies in there. All the wait staff was great. I just can't say enough about the staff. The grounds are beautiful and the private entrance to the ruins...

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Chichen Itza. I was amazed how beautiful this place was. Best food we ate during our entire trip. The staff was very friendly. Bathrooms were very clean. A little piece of heaven.

We stayed two nights to visit Chichin Itza and surrounding towns. The hotel is massively over priced for what it offers. Whilst some of the staff were friendly and helpful others were rude and impatient. The gentleman who checked us out made me feel like we were doing him an injustice to check us out. The whole place is pretty...

What a sorry comment....Sour. Sad. Totally out of places you can attest by the immense majority of the reflections on our staff, service, cuisine, location and ambiance of our resort.

Pros: 1. Lavash grounds 2. Right idea to have bungalows and the architecture design well fit the nature 3. Right by the Chichen Itza site Cons: 1. No attentions to details (pools are not well-maintained, lots of leaves, no plug ins for the coffee pot in the bathroom, hot water was not coming at night, very little WiFi anywhere) 2....

Very strange comments on your stay.... Specially in your description of the room.... "dark and with mosquitoes". I am personally going to look into what room you were assigned and review our ledger and collaborator's comments regarding your stay. You may have a refund comping to you. Were are sad not to have made you had a memorable stay amongst...

We spent two nights here in order to experience Chichen Itza and to see the birds of the area. This hotel is beautiful, in hacienda style, with the bungalows scattered through the lovely, park-like grounds with several nice swimming pools around. We stayed in a very nice room in the main hotel with a view of the ruins from our...

A lovely, old-school hotel with wonderful gardens, a nice restaurant and friendly staff. The service at Christmas is a bit lacking as they were somewhat overwhelmed. The paying guests would probably appreciate paying a bit more in exchange for banning the boat-loads of bus tourists which overwhelm the hotel in the late morning and afternoon. IT would certainly increase the...

Thanks for your visit. We created the Lodge at Chichen Itza next door, receiving no day visitors. You may want to stay at the Lodge on your next visit, although we feel the Mayaland is a great resort in a spectacular setting and that it's day visitors allow us to serve the best culinary delights in Yucatan. The choice is...
