Please read this review before reading (or believing) any of the other, absolute whining, reviews. We just spent a week here with our almost 10 year old son. The bad reviews are so annoying, we are going to hopefully negate some of the other reviews while giving an overall review of our experience. This is a FAMILY resort. Children everywhere are to be expected so if you're dating someone or left the kids at home, go somewhere else instead of complaining about the kids! The adults only section IS quiet (thank goodness.... some peace and quiet is appreciated... if I'd wanted to party I would have gone somewhere else without my child). The main pool deck can be loud (but lots of activities)... good thing just steps away is a GEORGEOUS ocean. TIP: don't be those annoying people who bring food to the beach. You will attract the birds and it plays out like an Alfred Hitchcock movie. The sand was lovely (and would be even better if guests cleaned up their own cigarette butts and food stuffs). The sea can be a little rough (hardly the resort's fault) but I think they keep the red flags up (along the WHOLE beach btw) so people remember to watch their kids. Surf dodging was easily possible for 4 and older. The pool is refreshingly cool (not "COLD") and that is because (Science lesson) at 28 degress, your body is hot! Yes, people "hold" chairs with towels. But we never had a problem finding a good spot (especially at beach). TIP: stay in shade at beach until about 3:00. By then the pool is in the shade and many families have packed up to go for a nap before dinner. One of our favorite places/times was 5:00 just on the other side of bar at main pool. Nice view, shade, quiet. We also liked sitting in the open air lobby and people watching in the evenings. At night, we would skip down to the beach with our son and a flashlight for the bedtime story; it was perfectly safe and there is always a shift of employees cleaning or organizing something (our son actually commented he wanted to give them extra money because they were cleaning instead of being home with their families). So I don't understand reviews that say the place is dirty AND that the staff is "overworked". The food is VERY good overall. We had some meals we didn't like (sometimes salty) and some we loved. If you can't find something you like with this many restaurants and a HUGE buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the by all means bring your personal chef from home. That it's not clean is categorically untrue. I'm a pretty big germophobe and the pool bathroom was indeed icky (wear shoes and bring hand sanitizer) but all others are very clean (so you may have to walk 100 feet for a different bathroom). There is constant cleaning and maintenance going on; our room was very clean. Yes, you may have to wait 5 minutes for a drink... do you have anywhere so urgent you can't wait 5 minutes for a drink in sunny Mexico?! Pace yourself, keep an eye on the lineup and then go. Treat the bartenders nice, remember their names (Amelio is AWESOME), tip regularly and you will receive excellent service. Any glitches at the resort were handled immediately (our tourbroker was a disaster and the resort still took us in at 2am despite the missing reservation). TIP: if you arrive late, ask for a tour of facilities the next day. There's also an app re activities. The room access being in the wrist ban was great; anything we were ever needing was provided immediately, including excellent service when our son accidentally cut himself. The kids club is very casual but our son says he had a great time; he often wanted to stay for lunch or dinner and they even would take them to some of the shows. Tiny annoyances? Yes... given the layout it's easy to hear everyone's doors closing; we were on the even numbered side on the 7th floor and didn't find it too loud. It's hard to change money to smaller bills (remember the friendly bartender tip?) If it's not busy (don't ask if it's busy!) they will be more than happy to trade a $20 for $1s; everything else is in pesos. There are a lot of people for elevators so you may have to wait a bit (again... where do you have to be so urgently?) They do try to sell you into vacations (we could have had free massages for listening to 90 minutes but we said no thank you). These are ridiculous things to complain about so they're here as an FYI only. We have done 10 cruises, (some with premium service) and have seen a lot of beaches/resorts. This was our first all inclusive. We would definitely be back. (Don't listen to the naysayers.... you're on vacation!)…
We stayed at the Seadust January 11-17,2021. I was very impressed with the lengths the staff went through to make our stay as safe as possible. The amount of cleaning and sanitizing was amazing. We enjoyed all the restaurants. We did buy the lobster meal one night and it was superb. We enjoyed the beach and Alejandro was an excellent waiter. Our pool waiter, Armando, was simply the best. I feel he is family. He always had a smile and his personality was top notch. Gabby, entertainment staff, made me giggle. Enjoyed doing activities with her. She's definitely a gem. Overall, our trip was the best relaxing vacation.
Me and my family visited this resort in December 2020 for a week. We all had such a great time. The stuff was very friendly, the food was amazing and the rooms were super clean. Special thanks to Dani,Manny, Miriam and Kevin that were working at the zip line and mini golf section. They took care of our children many times. The kids had a blast with them. Thank you guys. You brought a smile to my boys. We all will definitely come back. Thank you.
Matilde (the person at the bar) is the BEST!!! Made my whole trip !! He was so nice and welcoming! Matilde deserves all the money in the world. Please give him your tips and show him the love he deserves.
